The Smoke House Ratings and Reviews
1. Our waitress was rude and impatient.
2. During our dinner, the bus boy busing the table behind us flipped a nickel into my potato.
3. Rather than clearing my plate immediately, I was told not to touch it; we sat and waited.
4. Never apologized, but instead brought a new plate. Unfortunately, my husband was finished with his dinner.
5. The appropriate remedy would have been to apologize and take the spoiled plate away immediately. Finally, we were charged full price for this horrible experience.
Our party was initially seated inside, next to the busy buffet. After speaking with the staff, we were moved outside to the patio. The day was beautiful, sunny and bright. Great food, bottomless champagne, beautiful setting and wonderful friends. Who could ask for more? Thank you!
A standard in the studio district, The Smoke House has been a staple. Unfortunately this time I ordered the New York steak with a bone. It was not very thick and was dry. I was disappointed with the steak . I should have ordered the filet mignon as my friends did. Good portions and lots of available sour cream and butter for your potato. Service is impeccable and courteous. Try the cheese bread as an appetizer. Not an inexpensive place but there is free entertainment on weekends. Book way in advance to get a table in the main room
A must stop if in the area! The food is always great, the service is the best and the value is amazing from the only $5.59valet parking to the meals! I love this place! Read the back story about the Smoke House as there is a ton of history and famous peeps who have been here and come today. We saw a few famous actors the night we came. Fun time!
I had not been to the Smoke House since the late '50s, early '60s when my parents used to take the family. I didn't even know it was still there! What a great experience. Excellent food, great ambiance, and great service. Highly recommended, and don't forget to try the garlic cheese bread!
We have been coming to the Smokehouse for years! My Mom had her 85th bday and it was the worst dinner ever. Food very salty, waiter was NOT attentive, and the booth was way to small for 5 people . Just surprised because we have always loved going there. but not so sure anymore.
This is an LA gem tucked away in the middle of the movie and television production studios. The food is varied and doled up in plentiful portions. The cheese garlic bread is to die for. The deserts are excellent. Definitely worth a visit while in LA LA LAnd.
My young adult children and I went there to celebrate our Thanksgiving meal on Friday after Thanksgiving. I had requested seating near the fireplace. They seated us right there in front of the fireplace with the fireplace going. It was so nice and warm. We had a very nice dinner. They also had a drink list along with wine. We each found a drink that was very good. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant. We especially enjoyed the garlic cheese bread!!!
We were sat in an area that was overlit, I had to ask the sever to dim the lights it was so bright, then when he did the whole room sighed with relief. My car was scratched by the valet. We were sat next to a huge party that wouldn't sit down, so my wife and I had our table surrounded by other guests standing around their table.
I have always enjoyed going to The Smokehouse I always look forward to the cheesy garlic bread that stuff is to die for I always would recommend the prime rib for people that love it and the rest of their menu is excellent also nice atmosphere cozy comfortable would recommend to anybody to go
Great place to grab lunch or dinner if visiting anything in the Warner Bros Studio area. We attended the Ellen Show and had lunch here before the taping. I had the stuffed salmon....delicious but enough to share with a friend. Their shareable sides are large. They are known for their garlic bread and if you don't care for garlic you can order it without garlic. We ordered with and it was amazing!!!! Ask for Izzy the waiter (he was on the Ellen show last week delivering food to Adam Levine as a prank)....he is great!
