I have no words other than Thankyou 😊
Excelllent food! great service and nice place to have brunch! Loved it
Food came out cold. Was very disappointed in that. Service was ok.
Everything about this place is special phenomenal food great atmosphere sale wonderful service
The food was amazing. My mom said she would eat here everyday if she lived in the city. The poached eggs were like little white puffy clouds!!
It never disappoints!
Got good reviews but perhaps from a younger crowd. I see the appeal but pass on this place if you’re looking for a quiet dinner. Food ok, not bad, not great.
Food was mediocre, service was terrible and noise level was very high! I would never go back
The Smith continues to be the quintessential lunch spot on the east side. They manage to make simple meals interesting. Good job and great service
Very busy, very loud, slow service but the manager did a nice job trying to help. Food was good but not exceptional. It's a hot spot so good for young professionals.
Perfect for our lunch. Spicy tuna elegantly presented and absolutely delicious as was chicken sandwich and tuna w salad. Service was timely without rushing. Wait staff attentive. Awesome vibe business and recreational people. This is my new favorite restaurant for any occasion.
Very disappointing and we knew that it would be noisy. It was far beyond noisy. The waitress's attention was sporadic at best. Not sure what restaurant management can do about the noise, but why would you eat out when you cannot hear the people you cam with.
Incredible wait staff.
The Smith is a "new" place for me- lucky me! The menu had so many interesting items to choose, and my smoked salmon was a good one. The restaurant was quiet, as I was there at an in-between time, which was refreshing. Our server was attentive and friendly. I will definitely return!!
Loved eating at The Smith. The food was great and content with the service we got!
We made a reservation and had a slight delay in being seated, Sunday brunchers haha. We waited about 15 minutes longer than expected, but the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food is always great here!
when a reservation a made, I expect to be seated within 15 minutes of my appointment.
I sat at the bar since the wait over 15 minutes
This place is just perfect, great food, great drinks, even better service and staff, and all around great vibes. I always come here when I’m in NYC, it’s too good to pass up.
I LOVE The Smith! For breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, it is one of the best restaurants in the city. Somehow, the ambiance and decor serves a casual bite with a friend, a leisurely meal with a group and a date night. Everything I've ever had there has been delicious, the hash browns, pancakes with whipped ricotta, and ALL the appetizers keep me coming back. The service is always spectacular as well. Highly recommend!
More of a bar with some food than a real restaurant. Nice to go there occasionally but not a gastronomic feast
Very good. Unfortunately pasta dish had a little too much oil on to enjoy fully.
The Smith is a consistently good place for a meetup with friends. Food is always good (not earth-shattering), and the ambience is lively. Great for groups, but not an intimate or quiet setting.
It was a little noisy and we had trouble hearing each other throughout the meal, however everyone enjoyed their meal and felt it was a good value for the price point. Also had a few craft beers and specialty cocktail and all were well received. Service was good - quick, attentive and friendly.
Had to wait around 20mins even though we had reservation. Once we got in, the table was well set up. Food is decent. Service is good not much delays. Price we felt was a bit expensive side for the food quality and ambience. Overall I would give a 3 ⭐️.
Every time I’ve gone the food has been amazing. The brunch was so exception, we ordered several dishes to share for the table and everything came out hot and delicious!
Never disappoints! A trip to NYC is not complete without brunch at The Smith! I tried to vary, but always need to go back to what I love!
I come here almost once a week. Food never disappoints, hosts are so friendly, and the managers are super attentive. Never gets old.
Great find! The service was a little slow considering they weren’t that busy, but no complaints.
Somos de Argentina. Cenamos muy bien con nuestros amigos. La atención fue excelente. Los visitaremos prontamente!
The food was fantastic. We were there for brunch. The menu had a great variety of options. We especially liked the eggs Benedict. I was not happy with where we sat. We made reservations and were placed outside the bathroom door. A lot of traffic in and out and the smell... One would think with a reservation you would be given a better table.
The cinnamon toffee brioche was amazing! The Vanilla Bean French toast was was a bit overwhelmed by the bananas on the plate, but still very good.
Good food, but a bit limited menu. Trying to stay away from the ordinary means many desires cannot be met.
This lace was amazing! Food is delicious and service is great! And it’s very roomy for a NYC restaurant, you don’t feel on top of other parties.
Great atmosphere and great food.
Waiter was a bit too busy but took care of food issues well. We had a pleasant evening.
Birthday dinner for my daughter
Awesome as always and service/food was fantastic!!
A little noisy but understandable as it was brunch time. Otherwise, I had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and service was even better! I shall be back and will be recommending
great food and service!
this was my second time sitting in one of the two-top banquet tables. they are WAY too close together. it’s such an awkward way to start a meal by getting dirty looks by the other tables that you’re about to squeeze between. we couldn’t really have a conversation because the tables surrounding us were literally maybe 6-8 inches away & we could barely hear each other.
it also made service strange. when the table next to us ordered, the servers back end was literally touching my shoulder. not her fault, there is just no room for her to stand. same for when food was dropped—another guys butt in my face and near the table. lastly, when our food was cleared, the poor busser dropped most of our silver ware cuz it is so hard to get between the tables. i get that you guys want to maximize your book & get as many tables in... but at what cost to service & ambiance? just removing one deuce would allow for some breathing room. love this place, just a total bummer about the seating.
A family favorite - a tad noisy but the food and service make up for it.
