Great place for lunch out of the office!
Must try the Mac & cheese, cod and grilled chicken sandwich!
Oysters and clams on the 1/2 shell were great
Superb; never disappoints
We made a reservation and we’re seated immediately. Our waiter was very attentive, made suggestions and let us set our pace for the meal. This was our third time at this restaurant and we will continue to go when we are in town for business staying nearby.
One of our favorite places for brunch
Such a cute brunch spot with options for everyone! Just make sure to make a reservation or you will be waiting about an hour.
It was REALLY loud. Difficult to hear my date. Not a good spot if you want to be able to speak freely with your companions. I haven't noticed this to be the case with the other The Smith locations further downtown.
The Smith is always consistently good. Good food, good service, and affordable
Had a wonderful experience. Food and service was super. Had a college reunion and ended up chatting at the table for much longer than originally planned-our server did not push us to wrap it up and kept refilling our water glasses to keep us comfortable! A little noisy and warm at times, but the food and service made up for it. Would definitely return anytime!
Great location for Saturday brunch. They never disappoint.
It was good as usual. I took my niece for breakfast since she enjoyed dinner there. Service was good but it could have been cleaner. Table wasn’t wiped off properly & none of the staff (hostess, bus, server) noticed.
Food was delicious! Well at least mine and my friends dish. Our other friend and my boyfriend got the pot pie and both weren’t dissatisfied by the preparation of the dish so a little pricey to not be completely content with the food.
I always forget how rude the front desk is at this chain. It's odd because the wait staff is always great and the food amazing but yet they hire and tolerate the rudest girls imaginable l.
Good food and help. Nice place!
We really enjoyed ourselves and had it not been for the server, it would have rated 5 stars overall. You could tell he was only interested in raising the guest check as high as he could with no true interest in guest satisfaction. Pushed the sea bass (which was delicious) as though it was a chilean sea bass, and when I received it I realized it was a European/Mediterranean Sea Bass. Very different fish although I was happy to keep it. When I mentioned it to him he became condescending and stopped his service. Won't hold it against the restaurant, everyone else did a great job.
Love The Smith. Food is always solid. Bit loud but that’s what you get in NYC.
the seasonal wild mushroom bucatini dish is to die for. ambiance was great -- there were somewhat quieter nooks in the restaurant, and our waiter made great suggestions for our meals. food was served super quickly and was amazing
I had a business lunch on a holiday Monday. My guest ordered the rare tuna salad and I had the moules frites. She really enjoyed the salad. The mussels should have been better seasoned, but the fries were perfect. The noise level was extremely high.
Food was great! Everyone enjoyed it. Service was great and we didn’t have to wait at all.
The food was excellent! The service was great! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal. The prices were fair and reasonable!
It's pretty expensive but really good for a special occasion. The food was amazing, the drinks were spectacular, the coffee was incredible, the service was really good. Tbh it was a little slow but they were slammed. Definitely get a reservation and plan to be there at least an hour and a half. It was so good.
We requested that they serve the appetizers before our main meal and after 5 minutes after receiving the appetizers, our meal was served. Not only was it served 5 minutes after the appetizers, but 4 of the 6 meals came out cold. The server was nowhere to be found. Definitely not going back!!
Food was cold, servers were very nice but a little backed up and slow
Excellent food. Caesar and butternut salads to start. Short ribs (Sat night special) and pork chops just right. Cranberry sorbet to finish. Crowded and noisy but it’s NY vibe!
So fun and our server was so nice. Thank you!
My wife and i celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary at your restaurant and you did not disappoint. It was spectacular, it was so good that we came back the next night thank you. Customers forever Thomas and Carol Brinkley.
We arrived for our 1pm reservation and were abruptly told by a host to stand by the bar. After 30minutes the 5 of us were sat at the smallest of round tables, meant for 4 maximum. Otherwise, all was lovely.
The Smith was wonderful. They were understanding when I was running late. Our server had great recommendations which were delicious! And when I left my water bottle there, they found it for me! Such a great spot for brunch. Nifty crafted sodas. Love, love! It was a little loud for me, but not a major issue.
Very civilized, spacious brunch place with amazing food options from around the globe. I loved the Spicy Sicilian eggs.
Had an amazing post- Valentine’s Day experience! Food, drinks and our wait staff was the Best.
I had never been to this location before but saw great reviews. This place definitely lived up to it’s 5 star reviews. The food and service was great! My boyfriend and I started with the mac and cheese which is perfect two. This is one of the best mac and cheese skillet dishes I’ve had!
We then moved on to our entree’s. My boyfriend got the sea bass and I ordered the brick pressed chicken. The sea bass dish had a beautiful mix of flavors - the coconut curry was just enough not over powering. My boyfriend loved this meal!
I was impressed with the brick pressed chicken. It was well seasoned ( not all places season their chicken enough) and had a wonderful crisp on the outside. The meat was extremely juicy and melted in my mouth with the smashed potatoes and au jus.
On to dessert. I ordered the s’mores in a jar. This consisted of a thick layer of chocolate mousse followed by a layer of graham cracker crumbs, a huge layer of a giant marshmallow toasted at the top, two small graham crackers and a chocolate chip bar tucked on the side. I mention this because while the dish was good I think the mousse was a bit too much and made the dish too heavy. I would have preferred of the mousse was replaced with a airy chocolate cake at the bottom and half the marshmallow on top. However either way this dish is great for people who have a serious sweet tooth.
All in all I would recommend this restaurant for just about any occasion. It’s not overly expensive if you order in moderation. I will definitely be back to try more of dishes.
The waiter was very understanding and very helpful when it came to helping my friends and I figure out what we had a taste for.
Always a great experience. We come here for brunch or dinner whenever we are in Nyc. Never disappoints
V day dinner with my boy!!!!!
The food was great, though my server kept ignoring my boyfriend and i and would turn his head away from us every time he passed by. Never resupplied our water, and seemed annoyed when I asked a question.
Restaurant is designed nicely, but tables are small and cramped so with two other people on either side of me with big, bulky jackets in a booth row was tight. Our waiter was lovely and everything came out perfectly on time, but the food itself was only OK and then it really gave me terrible stomach cramps immediately afterwards - I had the shrimp and grits. Overall for the price I wouldn't go again but pleasant experience.
Great service. Amazing food.
Consistently good spot. Great salads and will go back again.
Please advertise your mimosa and breakfast hours more clearly when making a reservation here. P.S. Why is the champagne $20 per glass?
They didn't have my reservation. They cleaned up my table while we were still talking. Have eaten there before but today was a mess.
