Table was ready. Fast service but not rushed. Luis was a great waiter. Had the deluxe seafood platter to start. Great!!! Drinks were perfect. Bartender knew how to serve Hendricks and muddled some cucumber in my G&T. DH had brick grilled chicken was moist and tender. I had shot rib cavatelli, needed a touch of salt but was very good pasta was cooked al dented and had a good bite. Dish was full of chunks of meat. Very filling. We took "quarter pound cookies" home with us and had the sticky toffee pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. Served warm. Delish. Sweet but not too much. Overall fantastic dinner. Would come back for sure

We are regulars here and are never disappointed. Food is great and they handle unique dietary needs very well. They take food allergies and preferences very seriously - taking extra steps to make us comfortable that our food has been prepared properly. We’ll be back...again!

The food was great and the service exceptional. The staff -- from hosts to waiters to bus-people were all delightful, friendly, well-informed, upbeat, and efficient.

The food and service were both exceptional, and the only problem was with the check. The options for tips seemed to be based on the entire bill, including the tax, which I hope is not becoming normal these days. It's not the first restaurant that I've seen do this.

We went for an early, pre-Lincoln Center Show dinner on a Sunday. Unfortunately, they had a transitional menu - very limited dinner menu and a few brunch items. Fortunately, the chef was able to accommodate an extra request from the regular dinner menu. This was our first visit to The Smith Lincoln Center but it was on par with the others. The decor was consistent and simple. The place was jam packed and super busy. It was pretty loud but by the time
The brunch crowd left it was much better. Service was very pleasant and definitely went above for our group.

We chose this restaurant because of it's convenient location directly across from Lincoln Center. We were so pleased with the service, the food, and the great view of Lincoln Center out the windows. We will definitely return again and also will recommend to others. Well done!

It was our first time here. I had requested a quiet table, which was honored after I saw a table in the corner available. The place was crowded and quiet is a relative term but we were pleased with the food, service and ambiance. Our group of 3 had 2 lunches and a breakfast.

This was my 3d meal at The Smith. The food is consistently good, and they are flexible about making small adjustments to menu items to accommodate allergies or eating preferences. The service was very good, although I was surprised that our waiter didn’t offer us refills on our coffees. My only criticism is that it’s very loud in the restaurant and can be tough to have a conversation; that’s from a combination of it always being packed because the food is good, along with so-so acoustics.

The Smith was not what I expected but we enjoyed it and would definitely go back as all the food coming out of kitchen looked amazing. It is loud and crowded so make a reservation. I thought it would be on fancy side but not at all, good spot for casual breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Everything was excellent except that despite arriving on time for our reservation (actually 10 minutes early) we weren’t seated until 20 minutes after our reservation which put us in a bit of a rush since we were going to the theater.

Great location and more affordable option for pre-opera meal. Lincoln Center across the street. Very good food at good price. But very busy and bit noisy.

The best thing about this place is it’s proximity to Lincoln Center on a windy, 20 degree night. We had 730 show tickets and made a reservation for 515. You will need to make an effort here if you want to have a leisurely dinner - they will rush you. Also, there are way too many tables crammed into the space - not the typical NYC restaurant tables that are rectangular and close together - they are round tables that are so close to each other, you end up sitting somewhat next to the person that is supposed to be behind you - like i could have put my head on her shoulder. And each time an adjacent table changed - it was a disruption. Food was fine - my salad was very salty, my husband loved his steak and the pumpkin bread pudding was good. If it was a less hectic environment - especially with the seating situation, it would have been much more enjoyable.

Bustling and brash. Fun place with reliable bistro food. Very efficient for pre-matinee lunch. But expect to have to shout to your friends to be heard.

Very good for pre-matinee Lincoln Center. Smoked bacon and eggs are fine. Toast is extra.
Cappuccino loaded with caffeine which is excellent if you are going to opera.

Well suited for a get together following a concert at Lincoln center. Food was good, the service OK, not rushed to order so we had a chance to talk with our friend. Wait staff was quick to clear dishes before everyone was finished with their meal. Good selection of items and drinks on both the lunch and dinner menus. Reasonable prices for a NYC restaurant. Very noisy. I needed to take my hearing aids out in orer to carry on a conversation with table mates .

The food was very good, although I felt my sandwich was a bit overpriced. My lunch companion's food was delicious and priced right. Our server was very friendly and stopped frequently to make sure we were okay. We did notice at the tables near us that she gave them information with the daily specials, which we did not get. The menu was great with something for everyone. I would go back.

Met up with friends here for dinner after work one evening. The Smith is always reliable - good cocktails, good food. It's a bit loud so not sure it's right if you're looking for a quiet evening. We stayed chatting long after we'd finished our meal and never felt rushed out.

Went after shen yun show at Lincoln center . Great location-Across the street. 2 large dinning rooms in back. First ones seated within 10 minutes. Packed. Had steak skirt and smith bar steak. Both came with shoestring fries. Baked potato would be better but food was great. We split the Apple pie ice cream dessert. Soo good need to split couldn't finish on own. Would go back again.

We loved our meal at the smith!! We came here for our anniversary but nothing was said or done about it. Also the noise level was out of control but overall the Mac and cheese was wonderful I highly suggest ordering it to share as an appetizer!

I also had the gatsby cocktail and it was wonderful!

Really great dinner before walking across the street for a concert at Lincoln Center. Our entrees were delicious and the service was excellent even though the restaurant was filling up fast shortly after we arrived. Very accommodating for gluten intolerance. If we lived in New York City we'd come back often.

The restaurant is extremely loud, in part because the floor and walls are tile, with metal and glass everywhere. That results in an extremely noisy room. If anyone in your party has poor hearing, or if you plan to discuss anything you don't want all the strangers around you to hear, this is not a place for you. [We made a request for a quiet table and found ourselves seated by the door ...it was probably the noisiest location in the joint.]

Our waitperson was lovely and the food was good.

Chose this restaurant for pre opera dinner because of location. Casual with good menu options. We really enjoyed the kale, quinoa salad and the our pasta entree was good. I was considering the fried chicken and waffle, but didn't want to eat so much. The woman at the next table ordered it and I'm glad I didn't. It was a huge piece of boring white breast meat with a pale looking skin. I noticed she didn't eat much of the chicken. So primarily eat here for the convenient location near Lincoln Center.
