    their HVAC stopped working early in the meal. we were all sweating and eating...you would think they woulf at the least offer us a free drink. All they could say was it was tough on the staff too...they seem to have forgotten they are there to serve the customer.

    We were meeting friends who were visiting from Florida and wanted to stay above the congestion pricing zone. We often go to The Smith in the East Village when we attend theater down there, and have enjoyed the Smith when we're going to Lincoln Center. Love the menu, with plenty of options, and always reliably well prepared and delicious. Terrific, attentive service--exactly what we expect from a well run and professional New York City restaurant.

    Didn’t seat us at our reserved time even though there were tables available and our entire party was there. They were too busy. We were heading to a show so needed to be seated on time. Both the hostess and waitress were extremely rude when we pointed this out.

    I have the Mac N Cheese, Kale & Quinoa and T Bone Steak and it was excellent. I’ll definitely be back. And the front host desk brunette was gorgeous!!!

    Nothing to be done about it but the room we were in was just painfully loud. We loved the food and service tho and that would bring us back!

    The service was HORRIBLE. We didn’t get waited on for 15 minutes, and it wasn’t our designated “server” who took our drink and food orders. We were there for our anniversary and wrote it in our notes. And it was never acknowledged. The appetizer was out before we even had water… also the waiter at the end when paying and tipping watched over my shoulder the whole time which is highly uncomfortable especially when the service was poor for a $160 meal.
