You guys continue to rock, the service is the best in the industry. There was a slight mishap with a dish and you guys righted it so quickly and easily and made us all happy. Our home away from home. thank you

overall good meal if you are looking for comfort food - mac n cheese, burgers, or a good salad. good house wine list and interesting list of beers. nice space - looks and opens up across street from lincoln center. only negative was noise level - was loud. all enjoyed though - would return.

We loved it! Food and service were both terrific! Across from Lincoln Center so we could make our performance. We had a table in the back room which was fine. I’d definitely go back!

Restaurant is too busy. Lively is fine, but this is just too many people jammed in to too small a space.
Menu seemed a little restrictive. Brussels too overdone. No Béarnaise sauce possible for steak.
Service was brilliant. Wine average for price.

First off, they actually READ your requests! Everyone was so friendly, and the manager even visited us to wish us a happy baby moon. It’s the little things that make a place and this place had it. And of course our brunch was excellent!

I thought last Sunday at The Smith would be terrific. I've been to this location more times than I can count on my fingers and toes, and at all hours of the day and night. This time, however, I was very disappointed.

My reservation was made days in advance and the maître d sat us in the back room, all the way at the end next to where the servers put in orders. An effort was made multiple times to catch the attention of our server.

The noise was louder than I have ever encountered. My guests — who were visiting from out of town — were rattled.

Background music on top of generally loud noise level detracted from an otherwise great meal and siesta excellent service.

Crowded but well managed. Very accommodating with my celiac disease. I would go again before Lincoln Center event

Noise level approaches chaos. Food good but not enough wait staff. Avoid at all cost late Sunday afternoon. Should do something to abate noise with better acoustics.

The service was really good and friendly. Food was very good comfort food with some twists. Save room for dessert.

Was lucky to get a last minute reservation on a Sunday morning. We were seated right away, service from front of house to our servers was impeccable. It is quite loud, so if you're not a big crowds person, this isn't the place for you on a Sunday brunch mission. However, if you can chat away and want to eat the most divine brunch and sip a little champagne, you will not be disappointed!

Service after ballet was erratic. Main complaint: wine rationing. Wanted a carafe of sav blanc. “Most I can do is a glass. We are running out. Do you have a backup?” Really? On a Friday night at the start of a holiday weekend at 1030? No, I don’t like Italian sav Blanc (the only comparable bottle on offer) or South Africa chenin blanc (twice the carafe price @86). Was not trying to be cheap. The single glass of House SB the squeezes out for us was just fine and we wanted a good time and would’ve chosen another carafe or something bottled if the selection had been wider. We tried this place because one is opening 250 feet from our DC house on U street. Have serious second thoughts about embracing that one now. Supreme burger was excellent though. Service uneven overall.

We made a last minute reservation after going to the movies on a snowy, messy Saturday night. It was very busy but we were seated immediately. The menu is great but I think a bit pricey for the type of food. Also, $16 for a glass of Chardonnay in a small glass!

Good food fast service and very attentive to our needs. The seating was available for us as soon as we came in and they understood that we had a child and tried to accommodate us. The portion of food was reasonable and it had taste. Would love to return with my girls for lunch.

Always good, always reliable, big portions that we tend to share, very good and pleasant service. The mussels are delicious. The only but is the olive oil for the bread , I did not like the taste, it tasted old rancid, maybe it was not real olive oil.... it is our go to restaurant any time of the day as we live in the neighborhood. Lunch is less noisy, and off hours are the best.

The restaurant was extremely crowded, and it took us 15 minutes to get a table even though we had a reservation. All in all it was not a good experience, because the tables were way too close together and I couldn't hear what my date was saying half the time. Whatever you do, do NOT order the filet mignon. The steak is tiny and there are more fries than the actual steak.

Had ballet tickets at 8 and a reservation at 7. Seated us quickly, ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Food came out pretty quick and we were out by 7:45. Short rib cavatelli was excellent, and my wife had the salmon. I didn't try it, but she said it was very good and it looked great. Service was attentive.

My husband & I went here on Valentine's Day, after an evening at the ballet. This place was hopping, even at 10pm! We had a slight wait for table despite having a reservation. Once seated, we enjoyed oysters & steak served by friendly waitstaff. Perhaps due to the holiday, they were out of both entrees we initially ordered so we both had to change our orders. The scene is very lively - not what one would call romantic, but I would definitely return again after a ballet or for a dinner with friends.

Really efficient service.
Delicious food and nice to have complimentary fizzy and still water

So many diners but staff are not rushed or stressed and deal with pre show meals well.
