Excellent service, grill pressed chicken and squid ink spaghetti were delicious!! The Gatsby cocktail and Manhattan #2 were good starters after seeing “Hamilton” on Broadway. Second time here- with all the restaurants to choose from when we come to NYC, The Smith at Lincoln Square is now at the top of our list!

Server was great, as was the food. Only sad that you took the chocolate/hazelnut desert off of the menu a few days ago.

I thought the food was ok. Not amazing. What made me mad were the alcohol prices. $17. For a Chardonnay. Absurd.

The sound level was NOISY, not energetic.
It took 15-20 minutes to get seated even though I had a reservation that I confirmed both via text and email.
The food is very good, but a bit expensive.
The portion size could be reduced a little.

Went to The Smith prior to a concert nearby.
The atmosphere was lively. The food was very good, my wife and I split the tuna tartare and mussels with fries. I didn’t feel the food presentation was great but the quality and taste was so we ignored the presentation. Service was excellent, our waitress wasn’t pushing us out the door and accommodated all our requests. They had a wide variety of cocktails for about $15/each but hey, it’s NYC.
Overall a fun experience and I would do it again and recommend The Smith to others.

The place was slammed for Saturday brunch at noon, despite heavy rain. Nevertheless, we were given a nice back corner round table so we could actually hear each other above the loud din. We enjoyed our meal and the server was really nice and attentive.

We dine at the Smith frequently especially because it is so convenient to Lincoln Center. The fare is always very good and this time, Evan provided excellent service along with the bus staff. We also have had great experiences with Luis as our server.

Took my boyfriend here for his first time. We came for brunch. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Place was busy. Coffee came quick. We ordered the brioche for an appetizer. It was fluffy and sweet! I had the salmon toast. Eggs were poached perfectly and the greens on the side were dressed very lightly. Delicious! My boyfriend had the Johnny Benedict. A unique twist on a classic. He enjoyed it. Our server was tentative. I love the decor and feel of this place. Will always return.

It’s a very loud, packed restaurant. But service is very good. Food was delicious & there’s something for everyone. The only dud was a terrible tomato soup. The oysters were very fresh tasting. Delicious cocktails. Too full for dessert, but they looked great at other people’s tables.

Pre Metropolitan Opera. Service was friendly and efficient at the same time. Food was excellent. We go there often before Lincoln Center events. A little noisy.

This restaurant is great if you are going to a show across the street which was my reason for choosing it. It is a "well-loved" restaurant and they obviously serve thousands of diners, weekly. I appreciated getting flat and fizzy water without having to order it. The rolls are perfunctory--this little review won't change anything but asking if people want bread and if they say, "Yes," then offering a lovely roll or piece of house-made bread is such a cheap thing for such a busy restaurant; that have been lovely instead of a cold, dense version of a Parker House roll? I ordered the hen-of-the-woods flatbread as an appetizer. In my mind, I was imagining a big chunk of mushroom on a cheesy flatbread. It was cheesy and truffly (yum) and oh, yep, there it is, some flakes of mushroom. That being said, I wish I had chosen a salad and the flatbread as my entree. I chose the sea bass as my entree. I was not ravenous so an appetizer and an entree were an ambitious order for me. I did not finish the flatbread and got it wrapped to go but on my way to the show ditched it because I thought how ridiculous will it be to show up at a Lincoln Center performance with a bag of cheesy bread and then have to schlep it on a train ride home... Regardless, the fish was fine. Neither here nor there. Whoever is responsible for the delicious menu descriptions should be given a raise. The description of that meal was mouth-watering. What arrived looked less ambitious. Drink... (sad horns) I know... It's New York. I've eaten in hundreds of restaurants all over the city. I know better than to get excited about a delicious cocktail. Again, the description of my Santiago Punch (pisco/pineapple shrub/green chartreuse/spiced almond liqueur/lime/tiki & orange bitters) really got me excited! What arrived was 1/2 full sticky rocks glass with a lovely green concoction and a dead tropical leaf stuck in. You can't beat NYC for its ice--extra large. The Smith served its purpose.

An all around good time. The menu offers a wide variety of choices so there is something for everyone. The service is attentive and friendly, the food was very good, and the prices are reasonable. Our only complaint is that the tables are so close together we felt like we could share the dishes on the next table.

First rate service. I had the sea bass and my companion had the short ribs, both delicious. Good cocktails. Its very noisy and difficult to hear either the waiter or your companions unless everyone speaks up.

Second visit, now our preferred go-to location at Lincoln Center. The place is very crowded at prime time, and there was a brief wait for our table with reservation. No complaint there. It is remarkable how they get the food and drinks out with that many covers in a night, and at the same time. Enjoy the cooking which preserves staples and adds creativity. One cannot help but have a good time there. Look forward to returning.

Party of 4. All enjoyed. Chips with blue cheese, calamari for apps. Excellent cocktails especially the old cubano. 2 salmon perfectly cooked. Short rib special could have been warmer with a bit more sauce but delicious. Gnocchi clear winner here, light and delicious. Chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding were both excellent.

Brunch was delicious. We had an 11:30 reservation but didn’t get seated until 12:00 so next time I will show up early for our reservation and hope to be seated at the time we had reserved. Other than that, the food was really delicious and the service wonderful.

If you want to be close to a Lincoln Center to see a show, this is a good spot. The service is exceptional and though they clearly want to move tables, you aren’t being rushed out the door. If you want a great meal, this is not the place. The food is fine, but nothing that makes you want to hurry back. The major flaw is the noise level; it’s loud. We probably won’t return as there are many other restaurants to choose from next time we head to Lincoln Center.
