The Smith- Lincoln Square
Book your next event with us
One of our mainstays. The food and service are reliably very good.
I would recommend if you need a place within short walking distance of the Lincoln Center that has American fare. The Bar Steak was small and tough. Other wise, portion sizes are large, bar selections were deep and wide and the wait staff was friendly and responsive. Price tag here is a bit hefty. Chalked it up to the neighborhood and location. Sat inside and it was too noisy to hear much conversation. We walked across Broadway to David Geffen Hall. Very easy walk.
I've been to The Smith a few times and every time is great. Great atmosphere, great service, and fanatastic cinnamon toffee brioche!
This was our first time eating inside as they are very accommodative of dogs outside. Great vibe, a little noisy, a little warm, but overall the ambience was nice. The wait staff was excellent ... had our alcohol ready for us when the legal time was reached. Eggs Benedict are a favorite, and they were prepared just right. We would have liked to linger longer to talk, but the place was packed, so we'd freed the table up. Very busy for brunch. Once it warms up, the outside seating is even better.
This place is far too loud for no reason. It wasn’t even busy and you have to shout. Our waitress forgot about us u til we literally cleared our own plates. Every dish is $10 overpriced. Not worth it
Food service and the energy make this place really appealing. An absolute must if you are near one of their locations. Bi bim bap is revelatory. Which is weird for a non Korean restaurant but trust me.
Visiting our daughter in New York and having dinner before the ballet.
Too loud but great food!
Discovered this restaurant about 3 months ago. Have since made it our go-to place for pre-concert dining near Lincoln Center. Always a difficult choice to decide what to eat. This last time, had a spicy salmon tartar appetizer that was creative and terrific and particularly worth mentioning. Specialty cocktails are innovative and satisfying. And even the house-made jumbo chocolate chip cookies were exceptional, with enough to take home for another day.
And we cannot forget to mention our server, Nicola. We always have good servers there, but somehow she just rose above on that particular evening.
Looking forward to returning soon.
Had brunch at The Smith at Lincoln Square on the west side of NYC. Noise level was very high, but like the energy. I ordered a scrambled egg ranchero with beans and avocado, it also had some kind of a waffle under the scrambled eggs. The waffle like bread was to charred and not very tasty, would not order again. My husband had the Sicilian eggs with tomato sauce and really like it. We had cocktails the were very good.
A bit too pricy for what you get.
We came here for brunch. The food was very good. They squeezed five of us at a table meant for four. It was a little difficult to eat but we were mostly content just to be seated & eating. The hostess was great, the waiter was great - everyone seemed very pleased to be there. It was just a little too crowded.
Our seating was perfect. They were able to seat me before my other party arrived. The service was excellent!
Great spot. Don’t be shy to speak up in there. And bring a few bucks!
Food was the best and overall service was awesome I would recommend this place to anyone my Valentine’s Day here was great
Great time great service great food
My friend and I came here for a Galentines day dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, we got the skillet Mac and cheese and the brick pressed chicken . The Mac and cheese was phenomenal and really filling so we could barely finish our main entree. The mashed potatoes and the chicken were both also excellent and made great leftovers lol. The service was quick, and the restaurant itself is super cool with even cooler surprises. Definitely an amazing experience and will definitely be returning with more friends. My only regret was not getting dessert!
Good service. Good food
Great meal and truly top notch service. We were seated about 15-20 minutes past our reservation, but were treated to a complimentary appetizer and cookies to take home! A truly great experience in hospitality.
Long wait even with reservation; afterwards, really good service and tasty food.
Food was good and came promptly. Service was a bit slow in ordering drinks and was unable to order dessert because the wait staff was not very attentive and we had plans following dinner.
We went on Valentine's Day evening before the ballet. It was crowded and fun and great for people watching. Yes, it's loud but that did not bother our party of four. The food was delicious -one of the best burgers I've had. I also had the Old Cubano cocktail and it really hit the spot. Very good value for the money especially for Lincoln Center.
My daughter and I went here on Valentine’s Day with a reservation through Open Table. We received a fabulous table - a tiled booth facing the dining room. Our service was excellent. He gave us recommendations and never hurried us through our meal. It was very busy and fun atmosphere. I highly recommend!
custom order on my burger was done, good service pre-ballet. v nice.
The Smith is always good and so consistent. Robert at the Front was especially nice and helpful.
Always a fan favorite for a casual night with quality food. From the sparkling water to the gnocchi to die for. I’m always happy walking out!
Server Javier was excellent
Always a great menu, and we were seated very quickly by the staff. Our server was so helpful.
While the food and service were fine, the noise level is ridiculous. "Energetic" doesn't cover it. When I eat in a restaurant, I'd like to talk to the people I'm dining with. That is almost impossible at The Smith. Never again.
Food is always delicious and staff are really nice. Super convenient to Lincoln Center. This is a big restaurant that is sort of a zoo at peak times.
Very good food and service. A little noisy.
A bit noisy, otherwise, very good. Excellent service. Very good food.
The food was decent, but my plate arrived 10-15 minutes after the rest of my table. The waiter also forgot to bring cream for my coffee. But the real reason I won’t eat there again—even though I live in that building—is the noise level. I understand how the wait staff might be distracted. Who could think while a cacophony is going on. Everyone was shouting to be heard. That’s not how I want to have a meal.
As always, the staff was warm and attentive and the food outstanding! The Smith Lincoln Square never disappoints!
The front desk was great about seating us on time for our reservation even though it was a busy Saturday night. Drinks and food were amazing as always. Our server, Joanne, was amazing and never bothered us too much or made us feel rushed but our drinks were still always full!
Very, very loud. Excellent service. Expensive good food. Appreciate the location.
We appreciate the fact that we never feel rushed to finish our food even when the restaurant is busy. The service was great as well.
Too noisy....tables were too close. It was impossible to hear . I did not enjoy the experience
Definitely expensive but good quality food and fun atmosphere
Service was exceptional, food was hot and delicious.
