Brunch was delicious. We had an 11:30 reservation but didn’t get seated until 12:00 so next time I will show up early for our reservation and hope to be seated at the time we had reserved. Other than that, the food was really delicious and the service wonderful.
Service was exceptional. Food came quickly and was delicious. I especially appreciated how the staff responded when I told them I had a nut allergy. Highly recommend.
The ranchero scramble is exceptional and the location is wonderful!
Birthday it was very fun
If you want to be close to a Lincoln Center to see a show, this is a good spot. The service is exceptional and though they clearly want to move tables, you aren’t being rushed out the door. If you want a great meal, this is not the place. The food is fine, but nothing that makes you want to hurry back. The major flaw is the noise level; it’s loud. We probably won’t return as there are many other restaurants to choose from next time we head to Lincoln Center.
This is my favorite place to go!!
Great service and food.
Advertised as having breakfast. Got there and was told breakfast stopped at 11:30. We made our reservation for breakfast. They didn’t seem to care one way or the other.
Had to wait a little for our table. But service was quick and efficient. Very well run place with very good food-had salmon and bass-both great. Very loud in there but good.
Went here for dinner before a show at the Lincoln Center. Food was served quickly and it was delicious!
Too noisy. Otherwise the service
Was fast and attentive and the food was excellent
This is a wonderful restaurant, but the noise level is terrible. It could be helped if there were not background music and tables so close together that you cannot help but overhear everyone's conversation. They really should add some kind of noice-reduction panels.
I love this place!
Evan was special. Large cookies, too.
Way too loud for a senior citizen. Nice server, mediocre food and the weakest mixed drink in NYC. So we are not coming back.
Our only complaint was the excessive noise level, so we opted to sit outside. Food and service were excellent.
We had the Sunday brunch. I had the Smith Eggs Benedict which was poached to perfection on top of a delicious thick slice of ham. Smith not only makes the best Benedict but also their macaroni and cheese is superlative. Better than she's ever had was my granddaughter's opinion.
Great Sunday brunch, interesting menu with good choices. Good coffee and great service.
I went with my 93-yr old grandmother, and the staff, especially Monica, at The Smith went above and beyond to accommodate the seating arrangement to make sure grandma was comfortable, allowing us to switch tables a couple times to find one where there wasn't any windy draft. Quality of the brunch, coffee, and desserts, were all top-notch. Definitely going back again, and will highly-recommend to my friends. Grandma was very happy with the dining experience and left extra tips. Monica was so sweet and even stopped by to talk to grandma for a few minutes after our meal to make sure she was OK.
This is a great location for a pre-show/concert meal. However, it is quite loud and can be hard to carry on a longer conversation ...
Food and service were excellent. My primary complaint was the noise level. I would definitely go back.
We came here before the circus with 3 little ones on a busy Saturday evening. The staff was so nice and accommodating. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The server was nice enough to put the kids order in right away. There was a grump gentleman who refused to be seated next to us with the kids and the staff was so kind and generous to us about it. Food was delicious, like always!
I thought $13.50 was a little pricy for a bloody mary.
Great food as always, prompt and courteous service, pleasant dining room with a unique New York atmosphere, professional staff throughout the restaurant and clean attractive spacious bathrooms. A perfect brunch :-)
Food was very good as per usual but very loud environment due to the fact they’re trying to fit too many people in there. This leads to you feeling like you’re hearing everyone’s conversations.
Skip this location if you’re looking for a more intimate experience as you’ll be yelling at each other.
Overall, good experience. They were very fast between courses. Sticky toffee pudding was ridiculous. So good.
The service was excellent. The Smith is probably best known for great burgers, and it didn’t disappoint. The steak was quite good as well but go with one of the burgers.
I had a delicious lunch at the Smith. I ordered the poached eggs in avocado toast and it was perfect and simple. My son had a terrific burger with crispy French fries. I like the Smith because the menu has a good variety.
Always consistently good tasting meals. Acoustic are very loud which makes it difficult to have a conversation with the person you are dining with.
An eclectic menu where anyone can find something they like. Always packed, always decent, always a good safe option.
Great meal! Beautiful presentation and the fried chicken and waffles special was the best I’ve ever had.
Loved the food, energy, atmosphere and proximity to Lincoln Center.
Outstanding entrées as usual, had my favorite the pastrami spiced salmon, cooked perfectly. Good cocktail selection. Service is fast so location and timing are both perfect pre-Lincoln Center show.
Great for pre-theatre dinner. Menu is not too large, but no problem in selecting dishes. All the dishes were very good. Service was excellent. However the noise level is harsh and it is difficult to have a conversation.
Seating was a little tight but otherwise great.
The chicken and steak dishes were very good. The service was excellent and attentive.
The place has a high noise level but my son and I could carry on a conversation at normal speaking level.
The service was very good and the food was great! A very good experience. Warm cider was a pleasant surprise.
Apparently, we offended the Server when we requested a different table than the one we were originally escorted to. There were 4 of us and they wanted to put us in the very last table in the restaurant next to the bathroom and 2 inches from the table next to us. We passed at least 3 other tables on the way that were preferable to us.
The Server was all attitude when she approached the table to tell us that"they tried to seat us at a nice table." We are usually the easiest table a Server can have as three of us worked in restaurants for years and 1 still does currently. Instead of letting it go, it continued to be unpleasant with every interaction. We should have requested a different server but didn't want to cause an issue. The service was fine, just awkward and uncomfortable.
The food was good but when you are spending money like that being made to feel unwelcome is off-putting.
Nice ambiance. Detail given to food prep and presentation. We all enjoyed sharing the calamari app and the squash salad. I had the delicious cavatelli with a short rib ragu. The portion size was perfect. For dessert my husband and I shared the dark chocolate birthday cake. Moist and just amount of sweetness. I am usually not a fan of chocolate desserts, but I would definitely recommend this dessert.
Food and service very Good but overpriced and loud
