Just a terrific restaurant led by the best staff in NYC
Busy spot. EXCELLENT for Lincoln center events. Very good cocktails. Good daily menu additions
well, I must admit that I always have the same thing since I discovered the
Smith burger with that absolutely scrumptious bacon marmalade and those delicious fries
so convenient to Lincoln Center - the only issue is that you can't hear your companion speak - it is so noisy!
but so much better than P.J. Clarke's from all points of view - always a warm welcome
Our waitress Stephanie was great! The recommendations were delicious and food was served quickly. We mentioned we had a show and they made sure we were able to finish dinner with enough time. Definitely recommend!
Have eaten there many times. Great food and excellent service. Unfortunately always rushing you through dinner.
Received main course and appetizers within 15 minutes.
Waiter told to slow down for desserts. Although constant
hovering asking if you’re done. I think that was 16 minutes after we were served. What’s up ???
Great food and atmosphere. I met a friend/colleague for lunch and had a great experience overall. TY!
Asked for my pork chop cooked through and it came pink under cooked. That being said the staff took care of it right away. The chef admitted it was under and made a new one which was fine. What was even better was the level of care taken by one of the managers I believe her name was Makensy? Said she was from Iowa. Went above and beyond to apologize and take care of the rest of our experience sending us a dessert that she loved. Also taking the pork off the bill. She was truly sincere and made the mistake the most pleasurable I have ever experienced. Truly a keeper for any restaurant/ hospitality operation.
We ate at the The Smith after a concert at the Metropolitan Opera. Great location right across the street from the opera. Food was delicious and a great variety of choices.
It was a lovely spot and the food was fresh and delicious . The space was also very clean and chic . My only thing is the tables were very close which I didn’t care for but other than that I had a great time here
Everything was Amazing! We loved the friendly staff. Food was amazing and the flow was perfect. This place is as must! #BunkaApproved
The Smith Nomad is one of my favorite places to dine. This location however has a lot of work to do to get to the same level of service for a consistent customer experience. They ran out of the Smith Bar steak at 3pm on Sunday during their brunch service, which runs till 5pm. When I used the bathroom at the beginning of my visit, the stalls were empty of toilet paper, the trash was overflowing with tissues; when I went an hour later at the end of my meal the conditions had only worsened. There needs to be consistency among the different locations and this one was sorely lacking.
Great spot for brunch before the theater!
The service was wonderful. We made a reservation and they seated us right away. It fills up in there quickly so I am glad we had a reservation.
Very, very noisy . Hard to have a conversation. But food is good and reasonably priced.
I'd recommend with the warning that it is VERY noisy. This has been my only caveat with dining there, but it's a big one for me. The noise level is just so high. Other than that, it's a fine dining experience.
My boyfriend is moving into the area soon. Feel like it’s going to be a regular weekend brunch spot! Brioche was delicious! Coffee was great, Benedict Johnny was so good! No complaints at all!
Came here on for Brunch on Sunday and couldn't believe how big and busy the restaurant was. Service was superb, we were seated straight away and the waiter was really attentive. Food was great, especially the pancakes. Great atmosphere. Would definitely come again.
Always love a meal at The Smith. Never disappointed.
Love coming here for brunch! Service is exceptional and the food is delicious.
Great food amazing service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and made sure we were able to get to our show in time!
The food was excellent but we felt we were rushed. Bill was brought to the table while we were still eating dessert. Could have waited until we had finished our food.
I throughly enjoyed myself at the smith. The jalapeño cheddar grits are the best I’ve had in a long time. The waffles could have been better they were too doughy and dense. I like the waffles to be light and crispy. I give 4 ⭐️ for service and food.
We had an amazing experience! We had the most amazing waiter and he gave us complementary dessert because we were such a great table. It was a very nice gesture and was greatly appreciated. All the food was incredible. Cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The blue cheese chips and mac and cheese were amazing. I had the tomato baked egg dish which was amazing. Overall beautiful restaurant and amazing food and atmosphere.
Food was very good. Service was excellent would go there again
Love being so close to Ballet! Food was perfect — something for everyone. Service was epic: Samantha could not have been more lovely.
The food was marvelous and the service was excellent.
I had dinner there with my daughter on a Friday night before a NYC Ballet performance that we were attending. We were seated promptly and our table server, Nicole F, was exceptionally courteous, friendly and attentive. Our meals were delicious and served promptly. We easily finished our meals with time to spare before the Ballet and we were not rushed. It was crowded and busy, so it was loud but relaxing. I’ll definitely be back.
The Rancheros Eggs were terrific. The blue corn waffle was light and a nice twist in Huevos Rancheros
I would strongly recommend noise control. It would be so nice to enjoy your excellent menu while having pleasant conversations with friends
Great neighborhood place. Excellent food and service. A little too noisy for real conversation.
The service was outstanding and the food was incredible. Overall a great experience and we look forward to going back
great location near Lincoln Center, food was very good, but it is pretty noisy.
Lunch hour was too busy for us, the tables are too close to each other and it was extremely noisy with the high amount of patrons having lunch. The Smith Burger although good was pretty soggy and difficult to eat. Overall the service was good, but I would only want to come when there are fewer people.
Great dinner! Great service! Right across the street from Lincoln Center so really easy to get you to theater on time!
Great Food. Love the fries, and the waiter/staff were outstanding. It is pricey...but whatever.
Great place for a working weekday brunch/second breakfast/early lunch.
The pancakes are lethal however? So don’t eat those unless your metabolism can overcome them or you’ll lose a few productive hours. (Almost worth it.)
Good food, service, and location. At bit noisy even at 10:00 pm
Good food. Service couod have been better but Manager comped our desserts.
Food was delicious! Our clients were impressed
Good food. The NY strip was really tasty and lots fries with it. The seafood platter was nice. We really like the environment. Will come back.
I choose this restaurant because it was conveniently located right across the street from the Lincoln Center, where I was seeing a performance. The "small plate" calamari was delicious and a much larger portion than anticipated. The entree meals (salmon and chicken) were alright, nothing spectacular. My favorite part of the meal was the smores in a jar dessert. I would come back to this restaurant.
