Good food and good service. Will go back for sure.
Great menu for anyone to find something. Brunch was the perfect sunday vibe.
Considering the time frame on a Saturday night some load patrons but it was birthday so it wasn't a bother. All staff was really friendly the place was clean and had plastic barriers that you can see through which almost made it like it was back to normal.
I love the Smith. It’s consistently amazing. My favorite restaurant in NY. Get the chips and the Mac and cheese. You won’t regret it!!
It was a nice experience. Service was great and the food was fantastic. We got an order of the shishito peppers, demolished them, and ordered more!
Everything was excellent
From the drinks to the meal. Service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive
service was great! wouldn’t recommend the pasta, but the rest of the dishes were great!
Amazing service and amazing food. This was my second time coming and it was just as great as I remembered.
Had brunch here the other week, really nice food - we had scrambled eggs and French toast. The ambience is energetic, the food is reasonably priced and the service is quick.
The Smith is a great restaurant for the classic American food lover who wants something with a little bit of a twist. The steaks were phenomenal.
Always a solid meal and delicious cocktails Felt very safe and clean
Great brunch spot! Very lively and bustling which was a nice change of pace after not having dined out in a "full" restaurant for a while. Prices seemed moderate in comparison to other places and they had a ton of reservations available last minute. I got the Benedict Johnny which was delicious. Portions seemed on the smaller side but personally enough food for me. I also appreciated that they had dividers set up between tables, it felt a bit safer than some other environments.
The service was fantastic
And the food was so fresh
Excellent service and great food. We arrived a little late and they were super accommodating and got us right in. Great experience all around!
We had a table of 4 adults and 4 children, staff were friendly and the service was good. Good choice of food from the dinner menu and plenty to choose from the kids menu. We will definitely eat there again.
Sat on the sidewalk but still was a pleasant volume. Delicious food, super service.
I haven't seen my close friend for almost two years and The Smith was an amazing place to catch up and enjoy a meal!
I’ve been to the smith midtown and Lincoln center dozens of times. The east village one was slow on service. Took forever for the bill to come or for anyone to check up on us.
Great as always!
So nice to get back to normal!
Great food, wish there was more variety on the menu, but great healthy options.
My friends and I keep going back to the Smith - it’s our go-to place whenever we’re in the East Village. Food is great, portions are generous and the drinks are well made (and strong!). They also continue to social distance by putting plexiglass in between the tables outside - much appreciated.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Irving was excellent! We will definitely be back!
Food was great as always. However, a few kinks to work on with outdoor seating: can the tables be shaded better? Not only do the umbrellas not provide enough shade, they're also not very stable when a breeze is blowing. The wait staff simply shrugged their shoulders at this and we were left hoping the umbrella wouldn't fall over and take our table with it!
Went for brunch and had a great time. Yummy food and drinks and lovely outdoor seating.
Excellent comfort food. Steak was tender and we'll cooked with fantastic peppercorn sauce. Gnocci and grits are amongst the best we ever had. Waitress was very attentive and without the attitude that can be present in other neighborhood eateries. Mac and cheese is their signature dish but nothing special. Lots of people watching opportunities and nice energy. Certainly worth trying.
Food is great,service is fast,love mac &che. ,burata.. .
Whatever you choose it will be good.
Always great food and service. I was here twice in one week and feel no shame about it!
Excellent food, reasonable prices. Portions a bit too generous but then one can always take the leftovers home. Friendly service. Very clean and safety conscious. Partitions outside cut down the noise a bit. Loved the avocado toast for brunch. Would go back and try dinner any time.
waited 45 minutes to be seated
Great service and food. Wonderful drinks and great ambience
We had a very nice booth inside. The Mac and cheese was amazing!!!!!
Great food, great service. Always too loud for us old folks.
Excellent food. Good service.
The food was pretty good, but the service was horrible. It took almost 45 mins to get the oysters we ordered with our first drinks and the mains were brought out 10 mins later. So we had to rush through our oysters. Our server was rude and seemed lazy. We kept trying to order another round of drinks and by the time we were finally able to we did not get them until we finished our mains. We will not be going back to the smith for brunch again.
The food is great, everything is clean, and overall nice vibe. It can get a bit crowded, but they do a good job of making people feel safely separated.
We went for Mother’s Day and were very please with the safety precautions. And, as usual, the food and service is outstanding!
We really couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Due to traffic, we were 15 minutes late for our reservation - The host was very understanding on the phone, and when we arrived.
The service was outstanding; Will was amazing. Food spot on.
Can't wait for our next visit!
I’ve been to the Smith before and liked it but this was a miss. They were so concerned about Covid protocol which I thought was great with contact tracing and temperature checks etc but then when we were seated at the worst table outside where they send people to stand near us to wait for their tables with no plexiglass on that side and our water glasses had lipstick on them and were clearly not cleaned properly. Food was ok but I paid extra for grilled chicken in my salad but could barely find any ( how much does it cost for a chicken breast) and finally was too expensive for what it was.
