Staff is rude. Be specific when making a reservation. Must make reservation otherwise not enjoyable. Drinks take long. Bartenders also rude. Honestly only good thing is the view.
Food was okay, service was poor. We saw our waitress maybe 2 times and she said she would bring water with our drinks. Never received our water and she didn’t even come back with drinks or food, another did. She came to pick up the tab though.
Worst experience. Emailed the manager already because service and staff attitude was unacceptable.
Very rude staff, cocktails were below average. We won't come back.
It was amazing! The view, food, drinks and service was great 👌.. its a good place for special occasions!
Best rooftop bar in Manhattan! The food & Cocktails are amazing. Also the staff were soooooo nice!! The best place to celebrate or chill out.💖💖💖
Had booked a table for the birthday of a friend of mine who wanted to discover a fancy place in NY
- Apparently extremely complicated for the waitress to double check availability on the rooftop
- the table that was « booked » for us in the end was right in the middle of the hallway, with all seats next to the other so difficult for conversations
- we had booked at 7pm - last order was ~7:30 because they were closing the bar at 8:30
Overall, very disappointing, I had come many times before and will never go back
Great roof top bar. Awesome view great seevice really enjoyed ourselves
We enjoyed our evening there very much. The service was great and the view was fantastic. The food was good, too. We probably won't go back anytime soon, as it's expensive and not in our neighborhood. But certainly a fun spot.
Great place, exceptional service. All parties that night had a great time, well worth a visit and a bar I’m going back too.
Staff was great, drinks were great, view was great.
Have been here more than a few times. The waitstaff are really nice....and efficient. Have to say, with so many of these 'rooftop' , city view bars, many of the waitstaff have an 'attitude.' This is not the case here
No le gustó para nada. No es restaurant porque lo que te traen es un chiste. Vayan al bar de la terraza que las vistan valen la pena.
Drinks were great , appetizers good , gorgeous skyline and beautiful sunset..
Incredible views, diverse menu, impeccable service. My only complaint is the dessert options need a TOTAL overhaul and the “roof top” area is narrow and a bit cramped (the views from the inside are even better and more accessible). As for the desserts... we tried both and they were not good. Everything else was on point.
Charles always takes care of us! Alex the doorman is amazing. And so are the hosts and wait staff.
Trendy, but classic and classy. Food was great and atmosphere was relaxing but lively. We were treated very well and recognized for our special occasion beyond our expectations. Definitely won a return visit!
every time im In New york this bar is a must always a great vibe and the service is spot on and the view well is outstanding and they play perfect music
Amazing experience , wonderful views , great appetizers and cocktails ....was with a group of girlfriends and had the best time ever
Great tapas, great drinks, great view. Our waitress was awesome! She made sure my drinks were made exactly how I requested. She also had great suggestions.
Great views and fun place for a date. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed early because of the rain but they had a good DJ and ample seating.
The view is spectacular. However, the service is awful. I made a reservation for a celebration with 4 friends. We requested an outdoor table, which seemed to be a problem at first. Then, 15 min later the hostess took us to a table outside. However, they put us on a tiny table in the heat of the sun, whereas there was a table right next to us with more comfort and some shade. We asked to switch, which they eventually did, but it seemed to be a huge drama about it between the staff members. Finally, we get the normal table( meanwhile the place is is half empty btw). We order a bottle of wine, it takes forever to get it. After we finished it, noone came to check on us, I asked one of the servers that walked by for 5 frozes. 30 minutes later, our server shows up and says the other one told her to come ask us what we want. To make it even worse, as soon as
she leaves, another serves comes and tells us they have another reservation coming in in 10 min and we have to leave or move to the bar. ummmm what??? We had a reservation, we've been there for only 1 hour. What kind of a service is that? Meanwhile there is another free table with same amount of seats? So rude and unprofessional. Also of course as it's a rooftop, the drinks are overpriced. If I am paying $20 for a glass of wine, I expect good service with it.
Great place to hang out, service was outstanding and the food was surprisingly very good. I made a reservation for an outdoor table via Open Table. My date and I arrived a couple of minutes before our rezy time and were gravely disappointed when told there was no table outside...what's the point of going to a rooftop on a bright sunny day and eating inside?!?
entrance was a bit off putting, dark and dirty/scruffy. /once we settled in, it was fun, the food was small and expensive as expected. but we were warned. and it was very yummy.
The view is really good
We could not have been happier with the excellent view and the delicious drinks. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. Definitely not a cheap night, but absolutely worth it.
Incredible view of the Empire State Building. Decent cocktails. Slow service but with the great view it was good not to be hurried. Food was very tasty just very small portions
This is a great spot. Amazing views. Really great service. Good music and energy. We showed up early expecting to have to wait at the bar but the staff was very accommodating and sat us almost immediately. I would highly recommend and will be going back again.
One of the best views in the city.
Meh. I should have gotten the hint from having had to wait downstairs by the elevator for well over 20+ minutes past their official open time of 4:30pm Had reservations for 4:45pm hoping to beat the crowd... which apparently we couldn’t since the entire lounge was not ready to receive customers (which was bizarre and amateurish at the least) finally got seated, good views of midtown skyline however being a New Yorker and having gone to many a rooftop lounges, I was not at all impressed with this place’s professionalism, service, taste of food nor the quality of drinks - cocktails were barely tasty. Their only cache is the view. Will not be visiting this lounge again any time soon... as there are plenty other better, far superior service locations around the city..
Very good cocktails, amazing view.
But service was very bad twice this week.
Long wait, unpleasant waitress, mistake in the check and very difficult to have the good check. Desappointing.
Visiting skylark was an extremely disappointing experience... it almost ruined my night that was a special occasion for me and my husband.. I had booked a table at the open terrace but that time was raining.. so when we arrived we were informed that our table was supposed to be outside, so they didn’t know what to do.. they gave us a table outside the bar, next to the elevator and the man at the entrance.. we waited half an hour there, but none came to take us an order.. so we decided to leave. I think that they wanted us to leave from the time we arrived but they did not want to tell that to us, because of the reservation.. and the reason was not our appearance, because we were aware of the dress code of the bar and we were appropriately dressed.. it’s disappointing from a bar that is considered to be serious and famous to act like this.. they should have informed us not to go from the begging if they did not have space for us.. I had booked the table 3 days before, so they had plenty of time to cancel my reservation.. overall we faced an unacceptable and unprofessional behavior.
Great place. Very nice view and excellent service
Very nice space with terrific views that will invariably become increasingly crowded and popular as the warmer weather approaches.
Small plates were fantastic. Themed hallways between the entrance and elevator add a sense of fun/mystery. Only con is that music was a little loud for me, but this is personal preference of course.
Great place to get together with friends. Outdoor rooftop does not open until May, but great view of the city from other floors as well. Awesome cocktails and bar bites, but pricey. Young crowd and pretty loud, and this was before the sun went down. Wish they were open on the weekends!
Having been recommended, we were disappointed. We had to use our phone torches to read the menu. Other diners were behaving inappropriately (ie get a room). The view was spectacular.
Nice experience. Our first time, will definitely go back.
We went there to have some cocktails before dinner. The place is exceptional! The view is unbelievable and drinks delicious! I will so go back there.
Disappointed they kicked us off our table after 90 minutes, saying it was reserved for someone else.
Good overall! Nice cocktails, decent appetizers.
Our waitress was changed without notice, she was way nicer than the second one.
