It has been a co plete disaster!
I specifically highlighted that it was my birthday night event with my bf. We gave a call that we were going to be 30 min late and it was all fine for the person who we spoke to on the phone. We got the worst table at the entrance side (even though we requested for window side table). The waitress was extremely impolite and literally throwing the menu and bill on us. When we ordered the cocktail it was all fine but when we wanted to order beer just 10 min after, another rude waiter told us that we can only order at the bar. Theb what is the sense of having waitresses around if they dont want to work? I will never go to this place and wont recommend to anyone at all
Very good spot to stop in for a drink. Service was also very good. Food was amazing but don't expect huge portions.
Enjoyed a rather brief visit to the Skylark Lounge as unfortunately one of our party was not feeling well but the service was superb and the drinks were great. The lounge has fantastic views out over both Times Square and the Empire State Building although the weather was playing silly buggers with low clouds and rain.
Place had a very cool ambiance. To even get to the restaurant seemed like a mini-maze, but yet classy which was pretty cool. Certainly don't expect to leave the place full as the food options are small plates. Very good drinks
Avoid, avoid, avoid. We went here for an evening of food and drinks. Food was undercooked and took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Staff rude and unhelpful. Definitely wouldn’t go back.
It is a great experience. The food is great, mixed drinks are fantastic, waiters and waitresses are great. And the view is phenomenal.
Great staff, nice views, fantastic tapas/bar views menu.
First time to this restaurant/bar. On vacation and thought having an upscale dinner and drinks with a nice view of the Empire State Building would be two experiences, to take in the beautiful view and to enjoy a nice dinner.
However, we were seated inside for dinner. Waitresses were about but ours nowhere to be found. After about 10 minutes a manager I assume came by to ask how everything was. Upon walking in closer he noticed and asked if we’d been helped. A no response turned into someone will be right with you. 10 more minutes goes by and the waitress finally stopped. Hastily dropped off menus and left. At this point we figured if we ordered food it would take an hour and probably get cold food. So we ordered a drink. Of course 10 or so minutes later she managed to drop two drinks off. Closed the check. 1 Star goes to the 2nd waitress who took our payment she was just walking by and noticed we were just waiting on the check. We then went upstairs to the rooftop bar for the view. The viewpoint is quite nice. If there was a star option for that I would give it. The second star goes to the rooftop bartender. He was awesome, good spirit and just made some good drinks. They need to lose these two rolling seats in dark material on the rooftop. These little squares are shin high and at night can’t be seen. So be careful since we witnessed 5 (1 an employee) studder step as to not fall from walking into these “seats”? One guy who was clearly intoxicated tripped on the bench. He then lost his balance and crashed into a both seat knocking that over as well. Tripping hazards on a dark rooftop don’t mix well. But just my two cents. The place was nice and had nice scenery can’t judge the food since didn’t get to eat there. Drinks are over priced but for the overall scheme of things it’s manageable. Maybe just got an off experience I don’t know? But I would hesitate to recommend it.
We went here during the week as part of our trip from Northern Ireland to New York to celebrate my mum’s early retirement and I’d highly recommend it! The staff were so accommodating when we asked if we could have our table slightly earlier than our reservation and they were highly attentive all night and made us feel really welcome. An amazing view with a great cocktail selection and a mixed crowd of all ages, perfect for a quiet drink and some people watching after a busy day in the city. The view of New York is incredible, quite surreal and it felt like being in a movie, with my mum even commenting that she felt like one of the Sex and the City girls :) Would definitely recommend the Skylark to anyone visiting NYC and will be back again! Thanks again for a super evening!
Not what we expected. Took a long time to just get water. Then to pay it took forever and we had to catch a train.
We loved the view and ambiance! Drinks were awesome!
it was awesome! the nice view, great service, very good cocktails and tasty food (: love this place!
This is one of the many good bars in nyc I love the view stoning
Went for a casual summer evening and to try their Frose. While the view was spectacular and the ambience was nice, the Frosé disappointed me
It was a good experience. My family from North Carolina enjoyed the dinner bites, drinks, ambiance and the view of the city. I’m sure will be back here!
Nice atmosphere very young crowd could offer a better variety of food . Not really a place for older couples but was nice for something different. Wouldn’t go back but had no real complaints. Just not for us.
Great ambiance, great views, we stopped by for some cocktails for my cousin's birthday and we had a great time, we'll definitely be back
Amazing view. Great food and drinks. Really enjoyed the sliders and the macaroni muffins.
Staff is rude. Be specific when making a reservation. Must make reservation otherwise not enjoyable. Drinks take long. Bartenders also rude. Honestly only good thing is the view.
Food was okay, service was poor. We saw our waitress maybe 2 times and she said she would bring water with our drinks. Never received our water and she didn’t even come back with drinks or food, another did. She came to pick up the tab though.
Worst experience. Emailed the manager already because service and staff attitude was unacceptable.
Very rude staff, cocktails were below average. We won't come back.
It was amazing! The view, food, drinks and service was great 👌.. its a good place for special occasions!
Best rooftop bar in Manhattan! The food & Cocktails are amazing. Also the staff were soooooo nice!! The best place to celebrate or chill out.💖💖💖
Had booked a table for the birthday of a friend of mine who wanted to discover a fancy place in NY
- Apparently extremely complicated for the waitress to double check availability on the rooftop
- the table that was « booked » for us in the end was right in the middle of the hallway, with all seats next to the other so difficult for conversations
- we had booked at 7pm - last order was ~7:30 because they were closing the bar at 8:30
Overall, very disappointing, I had come many times before and will never go back
Great roof top bar. Awesome view great seevice really enjoyed ourselves
We enjoyed our evening there very much. The service was great and the view was fantastic. The food was good, too. We probably won't go back anytime soon, as it's expensive and not in our neighborhood. But certainly a fun spot.
Great place, exceptional service. All parties that night had a great time, well worth a visit and a bar I’m going back too.
Staff was great, drinks were great, view was great.
Have been here more than a few times. The waitstaff are really nice....and efficient. Have to say, with so many of these 'rooftop' , city view bars, many of the waitstaff have an 'attitude.' This is not the case here
No le gustó para nada. No es restaurant porque lo que te traen es un chiste. Vayan al bar de la terraza que las vistan valen la pena.
The cocktails were good but pricey, but you're paying for the gorgeous view of midtown and the Empire State Building. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area, both with great views. Nice date spot.
Drinks were great , appetizers good , gorgeous skyline and beautiful sunset..
Incredible views, diverse menu, impeccable service. My only complaint is the dessert options need a TOTAL overhaul and the “roof top” area is narrow and a bit cramped (the views from the inside are even better and more accessible). As for the desserts... we tried both and they were not good. Everything else was on point.
Charles always takes care of us! Alex the doorman is amazing. And so are the hosts and wait staff.
Trendy, but classic and classy. Food was great and atmosphere was relaxing but lively. We were treated very well and recognized for our special occasion beyond our expectations. Definitely won a return visit!
every time im In New york this bar is a must always a great vibe and the service is spot on and the view well is outstanding and they play perfect music
Amazing experience , wonderful views , great appetizers and cocktails ....was with a group of girlfriends and had the best time ever
Great tapas, great drinks, great view. Our waitress was awesome! She made sure my drinks were made exactly how I requested. She also had great suggestions.
Great views and fun place for a date. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed early because of the rain but they had a good DJ and ample seating.
