About The Six - Studio City
The Society of Six was an influential community of six artists in Northern California during the 1920′s prohibition era. At their cabin, known as “The Chow House,” these six closely-knit artists enjoyed creating art with their home-made meals, brews and wines. The Six, established in 2010, was inspired by the “Society of Six” and in its honor we have created this rustic American experience to share unpretentious cuisine that is appealing to everyone. We have brought to our neighborhood a cozy atmosphere that is affordable and accessible to everyone. The restaurant’s décor is built using primarily recycled materials. Classic cast iron skillets and rustic wood planks are often used to serve our delicious locally sourced fare. Our streamlined menu emphasizes the concept of “six”; choose from six exciting starters, six savory entrees, six red wines, six white wines, six brews on tap & six desserts.

The Six - Studio City Ratings and Reviews
It was a night of fun, laughter, food, drinks and live entertainment for my girlfriends and I on a Friday. We love that the performers interacted with everyone. Very friendly vibe from the performers to our wait staff. We even won a free dessert! The location was perfect. This is the fifth time that I have been here with friends and business associates. Look forward to many more.
This was my first visit. I found the atmosphere casual and hip. We ordered short rib tacos, club sandwich and the Cuban sandwich. Everyone liked their food. Only issue I have is the short rib tacos were three miniatures and I don’t believe it stated on the menu , so the portion was quite small. Definitely would return ! Very tasty food. I also ordered crostini , delicious!
There were some issues with getting our food. My mother didn’t get what she ordered because they sold out, and the waiter didn’t know at the time. Then when they asked her to get something else it took an hour to get a burger. Because of this it seemed like my pizza was sitting a while. But the wait staff and management was so nice that they totally made up for it. The food did taste really good even though it took a while. Totally worth the wait.
Everything was great except they knew it was a Birthday—which ended up forgotten. I mentioned it upon arrival, and input Birthday on the reservation. We used our Yelp checking for the complementary dessert even, but still no mention of the occasion came from the staff.
Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Very courteous and polite and always came with a great smile and laugh. She definitely made my girlfriend and I's anniversary brunch a little better than it would have otherwise.
The food and drinks are very good as well. Can't really go wrong with this place.
Worst place ever!! Service was so bad, I ordered a $13 cucumber cocktail which was bad , followed by ver bad appetizers. We ordered buffalo cauliflower which was soggy and old. Our main course was The sixth burger, it was over cooked and tasted like cardboard. We called the sever and sent it back. No one came and apologized, we were charged $17 for the burger we never ate. We paud $90.00 for a very bad dinner. When , I made reservations, I had mentioned we are celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. This will surely be the one to remember!!
When we arrived we were greeted immediately and shown to our seat. Our server (April) was excellent and patient since it was our first time there. She recommended our starters(grits and shrimp) very delicious.
Main course was roasted Mary's chicken and I had the Salmon. The tastse was incredible. For dessert we had the bread pudding with rhubarb ice cream.
My wife said the sangria was strong but shes not a big drinker. I had merlot which was smooth not dry. If it's your first time to this eatery, try these dishes. We will definitely return.
We ordered all "starters" which were all very, very good. Enjoyable but a tad noisy (like all restaurants these days!).
It's nicer to have the decimal level low enough so that two people can actually chat.
Our server was terrific as was everyone else involved with this restaurant.
The setting is nice, especially outside. We sat inside this time in order to avoid a large, loud table outside. Unfortunately, there was a very loud table inside as well, and loud music on top of that, so the four of us had a hard time hearing each other. The Charred Broccolini (I ordered it without pancetta) was absolutely delicious. The bread was tasteless. The Grilled Apricot Salad was good but needed more feta. The Thai Cobb Salad was tasteless. And the two desserts we tried -- Carrot Cake and S'Mores Tort -- were awful. The service was good and the management very attentive, so all in all I'd give this restaurant ratings varying from 0-10.
