The Silverspoon Restaurant
Alcohol service is BYOB.
Our menu items are subject to market and season driven changes, which can effect availability.
Never disappointed. This is our constant “go to” - even when we live so close to great Philadelphia restaurants. Always packed but the service is super.
The soup of the day, the tomato bisque with ground beef was incredible! The service was very lovely as well. Best lunch I’ve had in a while on the Main Line. Thank you!
The 10 year anniversary tasting menu was fantastic!!!we hope that all of those awesome dishes make the main menu soon!
Michael, Our server again was great! Will return soon
the food was very good, however the restaurant was so crowded and noisy diminishing the experience. personally i would be willing to pay s bit more if the restaurant removed one or 2 tables to improve the spring and noise level
Food was delicious!
For us, a neighborhood gem. The food is outstanding: variety, uniqueness, preparation. A quiet special BYOB for any occasion.
This is such a wonderful place with two delightful owners! We feel so lucky to have it nearby. A real treat!
Go for the mushroom soup, stay for everything else. Yummy!
The meals are always a delight here with great service. Have not been for dinner, only breakfast. Carmelized bacon is AMAZING
Very good. Wish they served less potatoes. Perhaps an orange slice to fill the plate. Omelet was delicious.
Consistently best food and people on the mainline.
We have eaten at Silverspoon many times and considered it one of our favorite “go to” restaurants both for everyday dining and special occassiona. However, our dinner experience on New Year’s Eve was disappointing. Although the food was generally fine, the kitchen and wait staff were not in synch as we were overlooked for two of the dinner courses. We did receive all courses of the dinner, but, it seemed that the servers were understaffed and we waited an exorbitant amount of time to be served 2 of the courses...while watching guests who arrived after us get served well ahead of us. It was disappointing to see the owners leave while the restaurant was packed as it should have been obvious that the servers needed help. The servers were gracious and eventually recognized that we were overlooked, so they reduced the final bill by 10%, but overall it was a disappointing evening. Maybe because of the craziness of the holiday.
Service was not great.
We love the Silverspoon. But we went last Sunday and it was very disappointing. My husband had eggs Benedict which he said was inedible. My friend had chicken and said it had no taste. First time we have had a bad meal. Regular chef must not have been cooking that day.
Well prepared food; Excellent wait staff
Overcooked omelet and we always have issues with having toast accompany. Always. Odds. Mushroom soup is always sublime. Salads are fresh and excellent combinations of flavors. Best: Espresso. Great start to holiday shopping in Eagle Village.
This is a neighborhood gem that has possibly the best service of any restaurant in the area. I can’t imagine better treatment anywhere. The menu is limited, but well executed. The only miss was an entree that wasn’t quite warm enough. That said, this is a perennial favorite and I will continue to rank it among my top five go to BYOB restaurants on Philadlephia’s mainline.
We have never been to the SilverSpoon before, but we certainly enjoyed it. We both had the salmon and it was excellent. The mushroom soup was buttery and creamy, the Caesar salad was prepared just the way I like it. Nice to find a byo in our neighborhood!
Always an enjoyable experience.
Lovely! Food as delicious! Great place to catch up with friends for a chatty visit!
Great hidden gem. Food was excellent: salmon was perfectly cooked, short ribs were amazing and crispy chicken over squash purée was divine. Soups were full bodied and a great start to our meal. The restaurant can be a bit noisy.
Although I had attended a dinner party at Silver Spoon, I had never been there for lunch. I had a Mexican egg dish which was memorable. Bravo Silver Spoon!
Very noisy during busy times, very small, most tables near the kitchen, decent food, good service, slightly expensive
The food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommend.
We always have a delicious meal here. Great ambiance and friendly service. Our waiter was Michael. He was attentive and professional and knows the menu very well.
...always the best. Great new menu. Michael’s always attentive and pleasant.
We had a wonderful dinner at Silverspoon the other night. Hadn’t been in a couple years because of life (kids!) after going frequently for many years. It’s even better than we remembered it. Our beloved waiter, Michael, was there, remembered us, and made it so special. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to come back!
Love this place . I know whatever I order here , it is going to be good .
I have had over a dozen meals at the Silver Spoon; this is first time I can’t give them a stellar review. My friend and I met for lunch and ordered the lobster bisque and a grilled turkey sandwich. Neither of these was hot enough. In fact we sent the sandwich back because it was cold in the center and the cheese hadn’t melted. They were very helpful and gave us a new and hot sandwich. The soup was delicious, however, this too was only warm, not hot. Even though I had these complaints, I will continue to come back because in the past I’ve only experienced good food. Maybe it was an off day.
We are always impressed by the quality and creativity of the food here, everything is always delicious and a real "cut above." Michael, who served us, is welcoming, attentive and impeccably professional.
The food was good but a little over priced. We had great service with a helpful staff and a nice place to connect with friends
It is a great place for dinner and they V get bonus points for being a byob!!!!
This was perfect dinner on a quiet Tuesday night...I just didn’t feel like cooking. As always, Silver spoon delivered from app to dessert. Their new seasonal menu was great, loved their lobster bisque, and especially the ‘cod in paper’ main. Pumpkin ice cream for dessert was fantastic! Great dinner with awesome service!
Everything was wonderful, as always!
Good food, limited menu ambience lacking.
As always a great meal and great service from Jenna and Michael.
Michael is an outstanding host/server for a special evening
Food is always excellent and fresh. You feel like you are eating at a best friends kitchen table. A friend who is also a great chef.
This is a nice restaurant in an upscale shopping center. The food is fresh and tasty. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich. There was nothing special about the bread, the presentation. The homemade potato chips were nicely done, but again, nothing special. I ordered the beet salad. Although the flavors of the beets, the pepitas and the balsamic glaze worked well together, it was not served over a bed of greens, which I had expected. I was presented with a mound of beets. It felt more like a side dish than an entree. Looking at the other diners plates, I felt they were all "sparse", or should I say "skimpy" portions. Our $30 bill or a sandwich and beets, certainly did not leave me wanting to return. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. Just don't expect much for your money.
