Finally! A small quaint venue along the Mainline that's as good as any of the same culinary space in New York City. By happenstance, I came to this family-owned restaurant for lunch and remembered it for its original and inspiring "live" menu and its service-oriented staff. That experience pulled me back again for dinner and they did not disappoint. Best of all, I expect this to be a consistently reliable experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone of good-willed and appreciative nature.
My wife and I saw that they had introduced their new Fall menu last week. We each got the Pork Chop entree. The entree was absolutely fantastic! The Pork Chop was perfectly cooked with the great addition of figs and balsamic. The entree was accompanied by the most amazing pumpkin balsamic with a touch of cinnamon. This was by far the best meal I have had at Silverspoon; although every meal has always been incredible.
Though the menu is limited and a bit pricey, one is usually able to find both an exceptionally tasty appetizer and entree. If there was room for dessert, likely it would be equally satisfying. The staff is also exceptionally friendly and the decor and seating reminiscent of a small cafe in Provence. Don't forget, if going for dinner, that it is a BYOB.
I eat at Silverspoon about 6 times a year and am always pleased. A nice byob for a date night or with friends. Food is always good and seasonal. Service is excellent. A lovely little spot.
Silver Spoon is always a pleasure. I take my Nana there and the staff is always friendly and the food comes out fast! Only thing I wish they had were booths. Otherwise - great brunch spot for families.
Service was fantastic, as usual. BLT never disappoints. Hubby had the chicken salad sandwich - delicious.
We visited for our first time for dinner and had the tasting menu. It’s felt like they tried too hard and everything had one too many ingredients. We really didn’t like the flavor of anything... fish was dry. We were disappointed because we had seen the positive Yelp ratings. Also, our server was a little over the top. Super loud and bubbly...
There were 4 of us and we had a lovely dinner. We all opted for the salmon and it was delicious.
We brought our own wine as we thought it was a BYOB. Is it ?
We enjoyed the evening, the doors/windows were open, so it felt like sitting outside. We will
come again in the future.
Never had a even one part of a bad meal or experience, must have been 20+ times. Menu always new and exciting.
First time here and I love it!! Top notch service and the food is Devine!! I took a group of women for a nice lunch and everyone had a great meal! We will be back!
Love this place. Excellent food and appropriately priced. A gem.
Although the food was good, the noise level was much too high to carry on a decent conversation
Love the food at the Silverspoon. Very creative and delicious.
My only disappointment was that the Lobster Roll was taken off the menu a few days before our reservation. Had the Crab Benedict instead which was good but was really looking forward to the Lobster roll. My sisters enjoyed their salad and omelette and we split a desert which the waitress adorned with two candles since I mentioned I was taking them out for their birthdays. Nice touch. Special but low key. Service was A+
I was there for brunch last Sunday. After eating, my friend and I stayed there for while talking and eventually got asked to "free the table" because they were waiting for other clients.
Granted, we had been seating there for a while after we finished our brunch and dessert, but I guess I would like to have known when I made the reservation that there was a "maximum time" allowed.
The food is fine, the price is a little higher for what they offer but it is a very cute place and conveniently located halfway between my house and my friend's. Just be aware that you may be asked to leave your table.
Had the special of breakfast nachos and it was great - So flavorful. Highly recommend.
The salmon with farro and lemon was the best I ever had!
Amazing food made with intellect and love
Servers are wonderful
I always enjoy eating here. The caramelized bacon is to die for as is the mushroom soup. On this visit we had the BLT's, which were nice. And it's a BYOB, so that's a real "yay"!
Wonderful food and friendly service. A very nice evening
Had a lovely time. Great service and very good food but we were disappointed that so many of the dishes (2 starters, 3 entrees, and a dessert) were sold out at 7:30 on a Saturday. For a party of 6 it made ordering a little challenging, but I’d return with an earlier dinner rez next time (or consider calling ahead and reserving a plate of oysters or one of the specials for the table).
It was too loud to have a conversation
Love this place! The hamburgers and truffle fries are off the chart delicious. Will continue to frequent for lunch!
I've been to this restaurant many times for lunch and daytime birthday celebrations. This last visit was for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday.
We were greeted right away and seated. Service was great, attentive but not overbearing allowing my friend and I to enjoy a friendly meal catching up with each other. The atmosphere was calm, not loud.
The food was delicious, toast of the day was feta with a peach relish and it was a great starter. We both had the chicken on cous cous and zucchini swirls, it was full of delicious flavor. We ended with a favorite, the donuts. It was a great birthday celebration. Great friend, great food, great time.
Our first time at the Silverspoon and we were mighty impressed with the Sunday Brunch options. The food was delicious, the service terrific and the environment friendly and warm. We can't wait to go back for lunch and/or dinner to sample more of the Silverspoon's offerings.
We love Silverspoon! Always delicious....consistently wonderful. They never miss the mark and the service is always welcoming. Mushroom soup is excellent.
Dinner was delicious and the service was outstanding. The occasion was a first date and the two of us sat there for a long time (over 3 hours) enjoying our conversation. The staff were great and let us sit there all that time. They were very accommodating.
The tasting menu was excellent. Very good food, lots of attention by the staff.
The food, as always, was very good. My wife and I both had their marinated hanger steak, which were done to both our satisfaction (hers exceedingly rare, mine merely rare). She also pronounced her appetizer, oysters, very good.
As opposed to other times we have been there, the service, though attentive, was a bit slow.
Fantastic service and delicious food
My husband and I both had the lobster roll and shared truffle fries. Both were delicious and the lobster roll was chock full of lobster. The only negative was the noise level which made having a conversation very difficult.
Had a great lunch. Ordered the cold corn soup delicious and the tomato watermelon salad.
Fresh and yummy. Severer was efficient and we were not at all rushed.
Great place for brunch, breakfast or lunch. Menu is small, but I actually don’t mind that. They have their signature dishes and then swap out specials. Everything is really high quality, food and service. Carmelized bacon is a must try!
Silverspoon has always been one of our favorite restaurants. After learning about the mid-week 5 course tasting menu we reserved a table along with our best friends. The meal was outstanding, every course excellently prepared. We requested our favorite server Michael and in a dependable fashion he described each tasting with knowledge, style and grace. It was difficult to choose a favorite course as they were all delicious! We're looking forward to future special events at Silverspoon.
The Silverspoon Restaurant was superb ! It offers excellent service and food .
Truly a terrific place. The menu options, food, service, ambiance, all perfect for any and all occasions.
Service and quiet were appreciated. Main courses were more the size of small plates - expected better for the price.
I would have given this place 5 stars except the service was extremely slow. We were there a good hour (or more) before we got our food. The food was delicious, however.
My second time here for lunch and as impressed as the first time. Took my husband and we met a friend. We all had something different and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our selections. Fresh, nice presentation, and everything was extremely good. Good value for the price. Not a huge selection, but that's what I like as so many restaurant menus are overwhelming. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. First time there sat outside on their lovely patio. This time it was a rainy day and we enjoyed the cozy inside dining. Highly recommend and are looking forward to returning for dinner.
Superb food and service. Our server proudly explained the daily specials and answered all our questions .
