The Shrimp Factory Ratings and Reviews
The bisque was barely warm, had to send it back.
The shrimp scampi had no garlic butter because of all the water in the pasta. The shrimp & grits was watery as well. No flavor to either dish!!!
We had to ask for bread and water .
I don't think the "moonshine margarita 's" had any alcohol at all.
The only thing decent was the sliders appetizer.
We had made a reservation and arrived there at the time we specified and did not have to wait. There were plenty of tables available. We both ordered a fish dish which was very good but my husband had also ordered a clam corn chowder which he felt was much too thick but had a good taste
Food was excellent and full of flavor, and a very nice-sized portion! Not anything skimpy like at "fancy" restaurants. Friendly waitress (though there was a long stretch after drinks/before ordering that we did wait like 10-15 minutes before she came back. Otherwise, she herself was fantastic and personable and regularly checked-in on us after we received our food (which came very quickly!) Definitely going again sometime.
A terrible experience. The whole place needs cleaned! Tabletop was sticky bathrooms were dirty. I ordered shrimp cocktail got 6 medium sized shrimp for $12. They were overcooked and had not been deveined! Then I ordered the most expensive main course crab-stuffed shrimp. Again shrimp overcooked and the whole meal tasted like it had come out of the freezer and put it in the microwave. Pretty sad for a place called The Shrimp Factory!
I'm always excited when oysters are in season in the South. Our lunch was at noon and I was disappointed that the oysters were not shucked and ready to serve (1 hour wait) so, we had the scallops instead, and we had four of them each! They were amazing! We both followed with salads with grilled chicken and shrimp respectively. Very attractive, tasty and filling. Overall a good experience. I will certainly return, as we live just over the bridge, but I'll come a little later!
Food was excellent. Everything we ate was so tasty and good. We had two appetizers, our main course was shrimp three ways and crab stuffed shrimp, margaritas to drink and to top it off was the best key lime pie. This was our first time visiting Savannah and we will definitely go back!!
Visited Savannah for my birthday with my mom and had the most fun at this place. The waiter was very relaxed and respectful. The food was awesome! I still have leftovers because the portions are big. Totally recommend for anyone who likes Cajun food. I had the shrimp cocktail, Cajun Alfredo and Peach Martini.
I ordered the shrimp and grits and the grits were not hot and starting to congeal. Grits are inexpensive so I expected hot grits. There was a generous portion of shrimp. That was the highlight. There was flavor in the edible parts, but difficult to enjoy lukewarm grits.
Since we had a great experience the night before and we ate elsewhere for lunch we decided to come back for dinner. We had the caesar with entree, had the shrimp and sausage creole it was very good for those that like shrimp and smoked sausage but I still recommend the Shrimp & Grits. We'll be back when we visit Savannah again!
