I had a great time at The Shore Club this past weekend, I had guests who were running late and the staff were very accommodating, ensuring that we were all taken care of and everyone was able to order before the kitchen closed. Such a great way to spend my birthday! My server was great, and special shout-out to Kyle for being a doll! With the weather warming up I just know this restaurant will be my new summer spot! See you guys soon!! xoxo
Outstanding evening. Two generations at dinner and something for everyone. Service was outstanding and some great gems on the wine list!
excellent food and service. The environment also was very nice I really recommend this place we had a lot of fun and good conversation with friends
The service was my favourite part of the meal. Some dishes seemed overpriced for what they were
Wonderful meal. The wine recommendation was perfect.
Excellent service. Delicious food. Staff went out of their way to make us feel special. We will be back.
Great overall experience. But our waiter was too uptight made me feel like I don’t really belong here or that he is extremely serious about his job. Little weird about it. Would definitely go back once again.
Loved the design and space. Fabulous art. Service was slow. Short ribs were full of fat. The waiter took the order off the bill which was to be expected.
Came back for the seafood platter. Excellent variety and taste. Top notch friendly service. We were in a semi enclosed booth ... great privacy. Reasonably priced. Will definitely dine here more often.
First time trying this spot for a quick pre game dinner. It was perfect.Waiter was very helpful with making recommendations due to portion sizes.Great wine list.In and out with class.Walked to ACC.
Nice ambiance, adequate menu and wine list, excellent service. Either with or without a reservation you're taken care of with a smile and all does nice and smoothly. Food was very good, but the cheesecake was hard and far from being as good as our excellent waiter announced. Since we were in a hurry, we did not take the time to make comments on the spot, but leftovers can be an indication of non-appreciation. BTW, their exclusive draft beer was very good and overall the restaurant is pretty good. Having a weekly lunch-menu, however, with a 3 course meal, could be an improvement.
I had a seafood chowder followed by a steak salad for a lunchtime meal. The seafood chowder had excellent flavor, but was primarily potato and no seafood that I could find. The steak salad was good, the steak also had great flavor, but was 50% bone and gristle, really a poorly cut steak. The first time I have had a bone in steak with a steak salad. Overall, I won't rush back, nor will I order these items should I return.
The overall dinner was good and enjoyable. Sean waited our table phenomenally the entire night. Very attentive and smooth, definitely knew what he was doing.
Very disappointed with the initial point of contact. A lot of unnecessary confusion and time wasted. Turned us down for a table in person, but we managed to book a table online, just a mess. Hopefully this improves.
Great birthday dinner for my wife. I appreciated the little touches (ie card wishing my wife happy birthday by name when we sat down, bubbles on the house, and more). Service was attentive and our waiter brought a strong attitude. Good job.
Another great meal at the Shore Club. As always the food and ambiance are second to none.
I had the special yesterday and it came out cold.
Food was ok. Nothing overly special about it. Had the prime rib with our selected sides (special feature of the day)
It was good but was it worth a $42 (give it take a few dollars) price tag? I don't think so. Service was excellent and restaurant was nice but the food, overall (which is the main part of going to a restaurant) was average.
We went to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. The waiter Morty was very professional recommending the cuisine and the wine pairing. We had a fabulous time enjoying our time there, will come back for another visit next time.
It was very pleasant dinner with very good food and for me the service was the best! All of them very kind, gentle and helpful. We went with a baby stroller and thy were solicitous and understandable to make space for that.
They offered a dessert as birthday cake on the house wich I thought it eas very kind. It was wonderful night specially for special occasion!
Change the chairs in the lounge area. Ridiculous how low they are. I am 6'5" and would be more comfortable to sit on the floor.
Went for a late valentine's day dinner, and it was delicious. Waiter was super helpful with recommendations and the food was delicious - we had the seafood tower (one tier), the rib-eye cut english-style (for easy sharing), mac n cheese, carrots, and profiteroles for dessert. They also have a notable craft beer list!
Had a wonderful cozy start to our evening. Drinks and appetizers were delightful and the staff was great! Will definitely return!
For some reason Sean is always our waiter, he is amazing! The food is amazing as well.
Excellent had a great visit
Great food, great waiter, they didn’t rush us at all, 3 friends and i took our time and had one of the best dinners in a while. Seafood tower was excellent, steak and lobster was superb, and desert was out of this world. HIGHLY recommend to anyone out there. Thanks for a great time Shore club! we will see you again soon.
An excellent experience. Food was delicious. The ambience is a conversation starter, with lots of art around you. Our waiter was great, he was well informed about the art in the restaurant, the food and was an overall excellent host. If nothing else, i would go back just to be served by the same person.
We have lots of allergies and food restrictions. I was very happy that we were properly accommodated.
I feel this is a restaurant that preys on the affluent tourist. I ate here for Valentine’s day and I felt everything was sub par for the price. The food was rather unimaginative and regular for the price and the service was mediocre. Compared to Canoe, a restaurant that is in a similar price range, this restaurant was a disappointment. It seems like a tourist trap in the middle of downtown. Locals stay away.
Food and ambiance - both excellent! And the service was awesome too.
Ordered the two features. First, a prime rib, ordered medium rare, arrived well done. My guest ordered the risotto, it was the consistency of wall paper paste - quite inedible. At the prices charged, one would expect quality well above what we received. Service was good, but no attempt to fix/replace the poor meals.
From the moment we arrived until the moment of departure, we were treated so well. Monty was our waiter and he was wonderful, as were the maitre d' and other staff. Attentive but discreet, helpful and honest with options. The food was incredible (char and steak), though the risotto was not that tasteful. Other than that, and the whopping wine prices, we loved the meal, ambience and artwork. Definitely would love to go back.
Shore Club far exceeded our expectations, we have been before but only for cocktail hour and buck a shuck. This was our first time in for a sit down meal. It was Winterlicious so I wasn't expecting it to be their all but they really threw it down!!! The meal was fantastic and they had items off their regular menu, which is awesome because I would order what I had again! The service was top notch, super nice staff! Atmosphere was nice but it was still during cocktail hour so a bit noisy, would recommend going after 8pm if you are bothered by people having a good time. Anyway totally recommend Shore Club, we will definitely go back during regular menu. Also thought value for the money was excellent.
Went for Winterlicious but had to ask specifically for that menu. Felt we were treated differently for ordering the winterlicious menu because service was poor. Food was average but overall overpriced for the value. Potato & leek soup was heavily seasoned with cilantro. With so many adverse reactions to that spice, you would think it would be mentioned on the menu. Nope, surprise potato CILANTRO soup. Gross.
Less than fabulous. For its reputation and price I would not recommend going here.
Service was polite and attentive. Food was delicious and well plated.
Elegant decor and romantic atmosphere. Friendly staff and service. We ordered from winterliciuos menu, soup was runny and spicy, salad lacked flavor. Arctic Char and Steak entrees were good. Dessert was disappointing, smore's pie and butter tarte made with same hard rock tart shells. Drinks were good and great selection of wines. We also ordered from regular menu crab cake that was delicious and a risotto side order that was dry and over cooked.
Not bad, but I wouldn’t return or recommend. Steak was sub par for a steakhouse.
Had the Winterlicious dinner menu. Spinach and arugula salad was excellent. Salmon tartare was good, but should have come with a few more crostini. Ended up finishing the salmon with bread (a person at a nearby table did the same). The bread was one small roll split in half for two people. A roll for each of us would have been nice. The arctic char was excellent, with nicely crisped skin. The Manhattan cut prime striploin was okay. Requested medium, but it came well done, slightly tough. The french fries were soggy. Sorbet was good and refreshing. Would have been nice if the butter tart was served slightly warm, but it was room temperature/cold (the vanilla ice cream on top really didn't melt at all). Our server was very friendly, polite and attentive, but we weren't asked if we wanted coffee or tea when the the desserts arrived.
Server was very accomodating!
Good food...prices were a bit high compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood
Everything was good except for the very expensive glass of wine I received. I will admit I asked for a glass of "chardonnay" but I would not have agreed to a $30 glass of wine if I had been asked my preference. I suspect the extra-expensive choice may have had something to do with the fact we were there to enjoy the Winterlicious menu. Also the time between finishing our meal and presenting the bill was too long. Perhaps to give me time to come to terms with the $30 glass of wine? All in all, dinner was "ok" but nothing I couldn't have enjoyed in any number of other restaurants and the extra expensive wine did not make it taste any better.
