The Shore Club - Toronto Ratings and Reviews
The Shore Club is my favourite. I entertained my nephew who is a student for dinner before he went off to Med. School. I mentioned him because he agrees - we both love this restaurant. While enjoying our martini's the chef sent out a sample taste of oysters Rockefeller. My main was Dover Sole in a white wine and butter sauce, to die for, and my nephew had a grilled Shrimps and Scampi dish We shared the mashed potatoes and grilled carrots. All absolutely delicious. I always ask for a quite booth when with a gentleman.
The waiter we had was so professional and first class. He certainly contributed to our evening. I regret not having his name.
Jacob, our server, was the best. Not only did he recommend some excellent dishes, he also gave us a little art tour after our meal to explain come of the amazing art pieces that hand in the restaurant. Everything was delicious but the Coconut Creme Pie was the most divine we had every had! This place is a must and we will be back!
When we arrived for our reservation, our table wasn't ready and we had to sit in the lounge for about 15-20 mins before it was ready. At an average restaurant, I expect that, but from a place like The Shore Club, I have a higher expectation / standard for service.
Otherwise it was a great experience, waitress was excellent, food was great as always, full marks other than the little hiccup at the beginning.
We really enjoyed our dinner at the Shore Club. From the friendly hostesses to the knowledgeable waiter to the helpful manager, the service was impeccable. Our food was delicious, and served in plenty of time for us to eat without being rushed. Will definitely be back.
My wife and I were at a conference, and just wanted to get away from the hotel area, and found The Shore Club, which sounded good online, and met all our expectations. The food was great, and the service was as well. I don't always write reviews, only when I definitely want to remember where I ate before that I want to get back to, so I'm going back next time in Toronto.
Overall experience was good. Excellent vegetables as sides, highly recommend them. Salmon was cooked perfectly, crusted Halibut a little dry. Only complaint was that the Caesar Salad had little or no flavor and looked as though it was left over from lunch. We would go again and give them another try.
We have been to the Shore Club around 15 times, the first 12 of them were amazing, the service and food was incredible. The past 2 times we have gone they have not been able to cook a well done steak, each time the steak has come bleeding and red, you would think for a steakhouse they would be able to do this. We decided for our anniversary to give it one more chance, we even told the waiter about our past two dinners with the issues and he said he would make sure to ensure that it was going to be all good. The dinner started out great with drinks and salads and then my wifes steak arrived, she had ordered the filet and it came looking like a pile of beef jerky that was as dry and burnt. We sent the food back to have a new one come out and it took 20 min for a new steak, all the while I had my food and we both ended up eating out anniversary dinner alone. It was a not a good start for the night and it is mind boggling that a steak house can not cook a proper well done steak, that is 3 strikes and you are out for the Shore Club!
This was our first time here and we found that the food was awesome (albeit it somewhat pricey) and the restaurant, itself, was quite nice. We loved the private booth that they put us in. Our server was a bit slow to come over at times, but they were preparing for a busy time (we went early - 5:45p on a Saturday, but by the time we left it was quite crowded).
First time in Toronto and celebrated my moms birthday. EVERYTHING about The Shore Club was beyond my expectation. From the service to the food to the dessert, spectacular. I totally recommend this place for a nice dinner, date night, or to celebrate a special occasion. This is one place I will definitely come back. Thank you, The Shore Club, for making my mom feel really special.
The restaurant was top notch and very creative with its pairings. A bit pricey but we figured that from the reviews and the menu. Great place for steak and seafood. They remembered from our preference sheet that it was our anniversary and gave us a very nice truffle desert on the house. Would definitely recommend!
Our server was fantastic! I believe her name was Allie. I'm a trainer and travel blogger and I have to say she is the perfect example of how every server should be trained in a service environment.
The food overall was fantastic too. The fish tartare was a bit too fishy for my liking but the steak tartare was delicious. The stuffed fish needed more seasoning as it was a bit bland. The baked Alaska more than made up for any short comings.
I will definitely dine again. In my line of work I'm constantly dining out with my clients and friends. My reviews can be found on tripadvisor and instagram @ambiinthe6.
