This used to be one of our “go-to” restaurants for a special occasion or somewhere to eat to celebrate family time. Unfortunately our experience this time was disappointing in terms of the food - the Caesar salad has changed; dressing was lacking in flavour and watery overall - just tasted like romaine lettuce with an abundance of shredded, not-so-great-quality Parm cheese. Two of my dining companions had the salmon and both noted the fish to be very over cooked. My cod with crab was much too salty and lacking in flavour.
Service is still top notch, but unfortunately the food has gone down hill considerably. It’s too bad - we’ve been going to this restaurant for many years and used to love it. Based on our dining experience this time, this is no longer one of our “reliable” choices.
The waiter was super knowledgeable on the food. Atmosphere was cool, the food was delicious as well as the service
Excellent food and service for a night out in TO.
Worst NY Strip steak we've ever seen. It was quite literally about a 1/4 inch thick.
This is one the best restaurants in Toronto, food is incredible & the service fab!!!
Excellent staff and service.
Great dinner for a birthday dinner. Service and food was impeccable.
We had dinner before a concert. The waiter was excellent at timing our food and drinks. The service was outstanding and the food delicious!
We were very pleased with the service. Food was delicious, hot and generous portions. We are seniors and we shared our meal and no fuss with plenty. Staff was gracious and polite but still had time to chat. Will go back.
Everything was great, except that my request to reserve a specific type of booth was ignored - the two person booths at the back of the restaurant. The host took us to a regular table, but was able to accommodate us to a slightly better spot after I mentioned that I had made a specific request in my reservation. My entire reason for making the reservation was to sit at one of the intimate booths, so it was disappointing that the execution fell short.
Had my Fathers 70 birthday dinner and all was enjoyed by all. Food was excellent, staff was attentive and made all enjoyable. All parties involved would have a very hard time to find something that did not exceed our expectations. A+++ all around
Great evening. Very ably looked after by Sean. It was our anniversary and the team marked it with style. Superb Salmon tartar to start - very good prime rib and Halibut as mains. We finished off with a Happy Anniversary Creme Brûlée and coffees. Thank you team for making our evening special.
Another great meal at Shore Club. Food was fantastic and our server was amazing as usual
It was a great meal with awesome service!!
The Shore Club is centrally located in downtown Toronto. Its easy to get to located just next to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Easy drop off from Uber or Taxi and even a nice walk from many downtown locations. The hostess staff, especially Nicole, was very welcoming and got me to a nice bar seat. The ambiance is very nice with a hip vibe but a touch of decadence. Ian, the bartender was excellent and set me up with a great sparkling water. The menu is simple and well stated with many choices no matter the palate. I opted for the steak tartare which was superb. That was followed by a generous, yet scrumptious spinach salad. I ordered the petit filet mignon which was cooked to perfection, paired with the best sautéed broccoli I've ever had. All in all, it was a terrific dining experience. So much so, that I went back a second night! You can't go wrong with the Shore Club. Highly recommended during your stay in Toronto.
Visiting Toronto with our elementary aged daughters. Our waiter, Gabriel, was attentive, kind to our daughters, and made great recommendations. He let us custom order a dish for them and made a big production out of their. Baked Alaska. Delicious food and cocktails! We highly recommend coming here.
I was there for a business lunch with a colleague and it was perfect!
Great restaurant. Food was good, service was great. Would recommend this restaurant.
Great place to go before shows at Roy Thompson Hall
Good food, not too loud. Can have a conversation.
This was our second time at The Shore Club and it was great. We had the single tier seafood tower/platter to start, and then shared a bone-in ribeye (the smaller portion, English-cut was perfect for two when you have already had the platter), with sauteed mushrooms and scalloped potatoes as sides. We also had the NY style cheesecake, which was phenomenal. Service is good, food is delicious, will definitely return.
Made a reservation to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We arrived at 830PM on a Friday evening and it was unusually quiet. However, it created an intimate ambience that we enjoyed. Our server, Sean, was above and beyond! He made our night and was very personable. Upon arrival, we ordered Merlot and their Winter Sangria to drink. The Sangria was the best Sangria I’ve ever had! I could taste every flavour especially with the cinnamon stick and orange zest. Together it created notes of chocolate and was just a delicious drink to sip throughout dinner! We started with bread, beef tenderloin carpaccio and calamari. They charge you for the bread and butter which I am not accustomed to at most fine dining establishments but the price point was small and forgivable ($4). However, either the butter or the bread was very salty. The Carpaccio was to dieeeee for! It was so flavourful and just melted in your mouth. The fried capers and the grainy mustard/horseradish drizzle added the perfect amount of tanginess. Yum!! The calamari with the cucumber yogurt dip were excellent as well but they tasted like calamari that you can get anywhere. Still good but nothing unique. For our entrees, we got short rib, salmon and the buttermilk fried chicken. Broccoli, asparagus and sautéed mushrooms as accompaniments. While the salmon was done well and the short rib extremely tender and lathered in a tasty gravy, the buttermilk chicken was horrible. We all tried it and did not like it whatsoever! We had the chicken returned and did not replace it with a new dish as the other two entrees and accompaniments were enough to fill our bellies of 3. The side dishes were generous and delicious, especially the broccoli! My friends thought the asparagus were undercooked but I had no complaints. To end our night, we received the baked Alaskan dessert with Neapolitan ice cream and meringue toasted with, I believe, grand marnier. It was delicious and a nice touch by Sean. The Carpaccio will have me returning
Too expensive for what you get. We go every year and they the prices all the time but there is no value to it.
Great food, great staff, who were very attentive. Love The Shore Club
Great tasty foods, a little long to wait to be served
Our waiter Shawn (Sean?) was fantastic. Great wine suggestion and very knowledgeable about the ingredients and menu.
The food was delicious. What a treat !!
I celebrated my birthday here with my fiance. Where we were seated was so private and intimate. My baby picked a perfect spot for his celebration. The food was awesome. Thanks again for the amazing food and my forever memorable experience.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. The service is second to none.
The steaks were very good, my boyfriend and I each ordered a filet mignon, and it was cooked perfectly as we asked. The waiter was friendly. Unfortunately, my boyfriend did pull a very large hair out of his french fries. They did get us a new french fry and a free dessert to make up for it.
Food was very unsatisfactory. Service was great but there may be a reason it’s not busy.
We waited almost 40 minutes to get our orders taken. The seafood chowder was delicious, but the steak and filet were extremely salty, and the filet was very undercooked. I ordered a medium, and it was medium-rare to rare. Overall overpriced for the quality of food.
Steak, oysters, seafood, wine was fabulous. Gabriel, the waiter, made our evening as he was very attentive and pleasant without being overbearing. Overall, fabulous..
Sturgeon caviar from New Brunswick, a recent addition to the menu, was beautifully presented and had the best blinis along with crème fraiche, onions and chopped egg.
The seafood single tower had shrimps, Alaskan king crab, oysters, rock (not maritime) lobster tail and fabulous seared tuna.
Steak was perfectly cooked as requested a rare to bleu.
Wine list by the glass is okay.
Food as always was delicious. The only negative was the service while timely, was very cold. We were getting some serious attitude from the waiter like he didn't want to serve our table. We may have been reading the situation wrong but it was the impression all of us had.
Regardless of the waiter, the food and ambience was wonderful.
Great place for a sophisticated and high end dinner
Steak was ordered medium but was a bit undercooked. It was still on point
The staff was very friendly and professional
Service was excellent however the food was incredibly salty. The butter tart felt like sugar granulars in my mouth. The sea bass was cooked perfectly however the over salting turned me off. I would go again but I would ask for low sodium!
This location has become a great place for both social and business dinners. Great Food.Great Staff. I always enjoy myself there...last Sunday was just great. Bone-in Rib-eye well worth the value!
It was wonderful customer service and food was amazing. Half chicken was the best!
