Hi there, thank you so much for your feedback. We hold high standards for ourselves and this interaction does not reflect that. We would like to make this right to you if you give us a second chance. Please privately message us and we would love to learn more about this experience.
Our server, Nick, was poor. He was unprepared and didn't seem to think. One of my party requested a glass of water and Nick walked away without asking the other person seated at the table if they wanted water, too. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and asked for a side of coleslaw. Nick says it comes with coleslaw so I said fine. When the sandwich came, I didn't see the coleslaw at first then noticed it was on the sandwich. Nick said "i told you it came with coleslaw" so I responded that yes, he did but I anticipated it was a side serving, not on the sandwich. After he brought the glass of water, he said, oh, I forgot a straw. He must've had to go to target to buy them because he was gone a while. Then came back with an unwrapped paper straw and placed it on the dirty table after touching it with his bare hands. We couldn't even get a menu but you can place a straw on the table? Thoughtless. Then the music was blasting and made any conversation futile. Overall this was not a pleasant visit and it'll be a long time before I think about going back. Btw, the pulled pork sandwich was not as good as the sliders that used to be on the menu.
Had a great time, we came a tad late but the overall experience was great.
Reserved a table for lunch on a weekday. Employees courteous and prompt seating. Food portions are very generous. The onion rings are awesome!
I can’t comment on the reservation because when we got there, they said they were closed. Despite allowing me to make a reservation on OpenTable.
Burgers and Chicken sandwiches were above average. Cocktails were done right. Guinness was poured correctly. Considering Covid’s devastation on the Hospitality industry’s serving staff, we all need to over tip, to encourage good service going forward, but these guys did very well.
Service was slow and inattentive. Waitress brought the food out, dropped the food on the table without saying anything. Didn’t bring us silverware. Won’t be going back
Food was ok. Service was very slow. Asked for water three times and had to ask a different waiter for water who then brought it immediately.
Tried something different. I ordered boneless bbq wings over salad. It was delicious. We sat under the overhang it was very comfortable.
Food was dry and overpriced. Waitress was not pleasant and did not check up on us until we were almost done.
outside area was great experience. Food was always on point
Pretty standard pub food which is what made it amazing.
Your staff delivers: hustle, courtesy, attentiveness that doesn’t become overbearing.
Mother’s Day and the hostess (a bleach blonde) gave us an attitude and made us and our little ones wait even longer although we had a reservation. Then they didn’t have Mac and cheese. Food wasn’t bad.
Overall dinner was good, food was good, however the Shepherd's Pie was not as it normally is. Potatoes were a bit grainy and it was dry. Smaller portions as well (which is happening everywhere now.) Expected a fresh warm cookie for the cookie sundae dessert, the cookies were hard.
Excellent service. Hostess and wait staff were welcoming and attentive.
Food was early tolerable, and the restaurant is definitely dated. Looks like a great place for heavy night drinking, not so much for family lunch.
Rude and unresponsive manager! At the beginning, we requested to be moved to another table (3/4 of all tables empty and available); he claimed that they were reserved. It was a pure lie, half of the table were not occupied during our lunch!
Our special celebration was ruined!
A nice spot, good food, nice ambiance. We went there because their Mother's Day menu looked interesting (and it didn't disappoint.) I recommend! Will go back.
Great place ! Friendly staff .. Highly recommended!
Incredibly friendly and attentive greeters, service staff, wait staff, very quick. They all came by to check up and see if anything was needed (just enough, not overboard), kept the drinks full and then food requests filled perfectly. Highly recommend visiting, whether it's for apps of dinner...
Great nachos! Well made drinks, yep...will be back!
Our outdoor seating should have been covered with an umbrella to protect us from the sun. We all got sunburned.
Orribile service this time, usually it’s good but this time.......
We sat outside in the area with an overhang. It was a week day and not super busy. Service was fine and food was as expected. Nice place to chill and catch up with friends.
My family was treated well and with respect. We enjoyed everything.
Love the Irish fare at Shannon Rose. The corned beef & cabbage was delicious. My mom and sister had the chicken pot pie. They loved it. Service was great. We sat outside. Time to put up the umbrellas!
The first time there went for Easter food was good. They have a kids menu and brunch the service was good the. Even gave me son a Easter treat. Will definitely be back.
Great as always! The entire staff is always friendly and the drinks are great.
The service was great and the atmosphere was nice.
Buffalo Cauliflower is the best.
Whoever was making the margaritas that night: A+
My server was Maya and she is excellent.
Great Smithwick’s & soda bread
It was a very busy night there as it was St. Patrick's Day so I get that things were a little crazy but our waiter was largely inattentive and didn't seem happy when we returned our drinks (Shirley Temples) because they tasted weird. He was arguing that was the way they were supposed to taste. No need to argue. We just didn't like them.
The main entrees were good but it just took forever to get everything and the restaurant itself was not overly busy as they're still only at 35% capacity -- The take out line, however, was nuts.
So all in all - not great this time around.
We've been there before and it's been better. Food is always very good but unfortunately, the wait staff is always a little disappointing.
On a normal night, I would recommend for the food and the atmosphere. Just don't expect too much from your servers.
We went there for St. Patrick’s Day. It was the first time out in months, due to work schedules and COVID restrictions. The food and the service were great. The waitress was excellent. We made a reservation way in advance. The hostess was not good. She asked us if we wanted bar seating. When we said no and wanted a regular table, she purposely sat us in a tent, away from the restaurant, people and ambiance. We were the only people seated there except for a guy alone and some seated at the end of our time. When my wife asked to be relocated, we were told no, that she couldn’t accommodate us. We were only a party of four, three adults and a child. We were seated in the most undesired seating as a penalty for not not accepting her suggestion of high top bar seating. And we paid the same price for sitting in a white tent like second class diners. But like I said, the food and waitress were great. The hostess sucked.
Came for St Patrick’s Day- loved the food, music and Covid protocol in place. Staff was awesome
I feel like the service is getting worse at Shannon Rose. It took forever to order an appetizer after our drinks came and then the server never even asked if we wanted an entree. Twenty minutes by the time we were able to flag him down and ask to order dinner. My friend ordered a ginger ale that came out looking like club soda, but it didn’t dawn on anyone that the machine needed attention. Food and drinks were delicious, thank goodness. Overall, I’d say the staff have a lack of attention to their customers and detail. Prior to finishing, I noticed a party that was seated nearby who also asked if a server would be coming to the table so they could place an order. Clearly, it’s an issue.
Ambience was great. Cocktails were delicious. The service was average with multiple reminders of the 90 min time cap which was annoying. Server was too busy and went missing for a bit and we had to flag someone else down to get our order in. The food was just ok. Fish and chips came out too brown and flavorless and the tacos were lacking as well. This is a fun bar, less of a dinner experience place.
Nice beer menu. Favorites were the corned beef egg rolls, corned beef sandwiches and burgers.
Our waitress was a little lost at times but wont stop me coming again! The staff overall is really good.
The Rose has COVID dining down: good spacing & barriers. The staff are friendly & attentive.
Always the best!
