Food was delicious. Shepard's Pie was very good. The Irish Soda Bread was amazing.
Server was friendly and very attentive.
Great outdoor seating . . tents heaters . . and lava rock fire pit . . . we went on a Friday evening . .they had live music . . the food was great as always . . very friendly wait staff . . all in all it was a great evening!!
The food was just okay, my french onion soup was sweet but we got BBQ chicken pizza, wings and a chicken sandwich which were all good. The service was pretty bad though. Our table was right next to the bathrooms and not near any other tables so maybe our waitress forgot about us, but we waited a very long time for everything and she rarely checked up on us. We had to ask for the check like 3 times. The live performance was fantastic and made the wait not too bad. Still just very slow service.
Service was very slow. We waited for someone when we entered the restaurant to seat us. There was noone seated at the door. We waited again to order, get our check and then to pay. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The food was good.
service poor, they are friendly and helpful when you can find them, but they are never around, nor do they regularly check if you might need anything
Our outdoor experience was wonderful and was exactly what we hoped for with Very good social distancing, staff wearing masks and as always very accommodating and welcoming. Our burgers were wonderful!
Outside dining was great . Our Server was a bit distracted likely from hopping indoors to outdoors.
The food was fantastic as always drinks were great service left a little to be desired as it seemed like our server had a table of his friends that he was distracted by.
We always enjoy our experience at the Shannon Rose!
Great food as always. The Traditional Wings with sweet chili sauce is a favorite!
We liked the quiet and distancing. The room itself was on the cold side, but it was a very cold day for April. The food choices were nicely presented and tasty. Since it was Good Friday, we were limited to non-meat entrees. The fish tacos were a good choice.
This visit was outdoors in a windstorm, so ambiance wasn’t great. But service was attentive and food was hot and tasty. No complaints. It’s just not fancy dining.
Good atmosphere and food and the device was professional
Hands down the best family tavern in the Ramsey area.
Server was horrible. Usually not the case went on St Patrick’s day
Best place to eat on the best day of the year, St. Patrick’s Day. Energy and vibe on this day (any day) is so warm and welcoming, truly a wonderful place to eat, drink and meet new friends
Our reservation was for 7. We showed up early and we’re told it would be at least 30 minutes. It wasn’t until 7:40 we were seated. Our waiter wasn’t friendly, bordering on being bothered. Our food - appetizers didn’t come for an hour...it wasn’t until my husband actually went into the kitchen himself that we were served. THEN we weren’t given all of the items we ordered and were charged for them! We were there to celebrate at Patrick’s day - first time out as a family in a year and we ended up wishing we had stayed home.
Ramsey Shannon Rose never disappoints. Corned beef sandwich not so great this year. Should have gotten the dinner, Corned beef rolls and bacon cheddar boxty always superb. Grafton Street brought the whole day together!! Looking forward to next visit!
Had reservations but didn’t get seated for over an hour after our reservation time and when we went to check on our table it was like they forgot about us. Service was not good, they seemed to check on us once and never came back to refill drinks/waters for a long time. Food was great but service was bad.
The food was very good and the staff was great. Felt very comfortable with their Covid safety protocols.
We waited 20 minutes WITH a reservation. Sat.Nite tho -ok.... drinks were good and prompt, but a vodka dirty martini on rocks was a bit watered down. Apps came out fairly promptly but entrees took just WAY too long. Buffalo chx sandwich very tasty, but the chicken pot pie was VERY disappointing for an Irish pub. The mix was WAY too watery, almost like soup, not pot pie, and the “puff pastry” was not puff pastry at all but a very thin layer of dough. NOT REALLY ACCEPTABLE but i didn't send back bc the food just takes too long. Terrible for a restaurant that is only serving at half capacity. I get it...prob half staffed too, but the entire atmosphere was a bit grim. Sorry!
St Patrick’s Day Brunch for the kids
Great place to take the family. Very friendly on top of everything. Very kid friendly
Was nice to be out on a cold winter afternoon fireplace was lit which was nice touch.
We went snow tubing in the area & took our sons/friends.
We had a great dinner. Service was excellent and food was delicious. This was our first time and will be back. Felt very safe as tables were spaced far apart and did not feel rushed despite the set time limit for dining. Ours was an hour and 45 minutes which was sufficient for dinner and a couple of beers.
We had a reservation (at 6:30 on a Friday), arrived ten minutes early and waited 15 minutes past the reservation time to be seated.
After that, everything was great! The Murder burger is a must. Loved the drinks and apps.
Great service. Staff was not overly attentive or hovered. They socially distanced as they should. Very nice
Food was excellent
Service was really really slow ! Not the normal for Shannon rose !
COVID restrictions suck for everyone: they did a good job managing.
I just wish the bar was open. My wife and I arrived early with the intention of having some drinks at the bar while waiting for our seat. Surprise, no bar currently!
Besides that, the food, the service and the atmosphere are all great.
The food was great, service was horrible, I had to ask the waitress to clean the mess that was left on the coach so we could sit, drinking glass was dirty & the waitress never came back to the table to see if we liked our food, if we needed more drinks, oh and I had to ask the person that dropped the food off for silverware. Had to wait along time after we were done eating to see our waitress for the ck.
But the food is good .
We went for brunch, food was just okay. Probably wont be back for food, maybe for drinks
Probably would not go back to this restaurant. The place is new and already looks run down. The food wasn’t anything special and the vibe in the restaurant isn’t cozy or relaxing.
Food was great, our server Casey was attentive and cool.
Great food and friendly service, recommend the Murder Burger and Rum tub
Even though I have been to both locations in Clifton and Ramsey, my partner has never been to the Ramsey establishment. Ed Doherty is the owner and named the restaurant after his daughter Shannon paying homage to their Irish 🇮🇪 heritage. Reservation was made easy via Open Table for 6pm. They are currently offering indoor dining with 25% capacity as well as outdoor dining, takeout and delivery. Just off of Route 17 North, we arrived before the designated time and had no problem finding parking in their sizable lot. Upon entering, I informed the hostess that we had reservation. We waited a bit after they cleaned the table. Social distancing was in effect as we were told until the drinks arrive at the table, the masks could be removed from our face. Our server was Morgan who informed us that the menu could be gotten by scanning the QR using the cell phone. For starter, we had the CORNED BEEF SPRING ROLLS (Stuffed with corned beef, cabbage and potatoes accompanied with the House-made creamy mustard.) These came out hot , were tasty and could have eaten without the mustard which had a kick to it. For entrees, we had the HARP-BATTERED FISH ‘N CHIPS (Fresh cod in their Harp beer batter and deep-fried to perfection accompanied French fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce) and CHICKEN POT PIE (Roasted chicken breast and fresh vegetables, baked in their signature cream sauce and topped with puff pastry accompanied with Irish soda bread.) The food came out hot. The portions were the right amount. Unfortunately the chicken was tough. The sauce wasn’t thick enough and puff pastry was weak. The fish and the fries didn’t have any taste as they were just bland. We did have room for dessert but wasn’t a wide variety. Out of 3, we shared GHIRARDELLI BROWNIE SUNDAE served warm with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and caramel. The brownie wasn’t thick enough and looked like a cake instead. Overall, our food was disappointing. Sadly, it's going to be a while until we return here.
Very good experience!! We were there for cocktails!! Love the space and very good with covid keeping distance!
