   Cozy, London like (quality) pub dining, in below street level space. Great server w personality. Great Shepard’s pie and sides, desert. Wine election could be more diverse.

   Solid menu includes traditional favorites. Definitely a keeper.

   the ambiance and decor was the best part. the food was decent- the Shepard's pie was all potato. not much flavor and too starchy. the server was not attentive at all. we had a hard time getting refills on our water while we were having our dinner. she hardly looked up and never checked in on us. the food is pricey considering what it is.

   Come here before around 5 p.m. and it's great--cozy, old-fashioned atmosphere, nice staff, good value, good food. As the happy hour crowd came in it became unbearably loud and crowded. Bellowing people, really unpleasant. I would go again but not at happy hour/dinner time.

   My second visit there. Love the food and the cask ale. Went vegan with the cauliflower steak this time. Feelings are just so-so about the bar which was very crowded and very noisy. Dining room is very pleasant and what this review is about.

   Went because if the good Yelp reviews. Food medium to poor. Tooooo loud. My 25 yr old dining companion wanted earplugs.

   Good venue for a work lunch. We were delighted to be allocated a private booth for our group of seven. Friendly staff. Side of chips was delivered fairly late after the rest of the main meals after asking about them twice. Pie and pint combo was not billed to expectations - where we started with some pints and did not order extras during the pie and pint meal, but were charged for the original pints on top of the lunch deal anyway.

   The service and food were very good. The ambiance of the outside patio is very nice, however the smell of the NYC streets made it a bit of an unpleasant experience.

   The fish and chips was the size of a steak! 10/10 would recommend.
