Our lunch items were very delicious. The only complaint was that the server failed to include the 10% discount when he gave us the check. It then took over 10 minutes for him to return to our table in order to get this discount applied. His service was outstanding otherwise.
Moms’ 65 Birthday ! Amazing everything !
The Settler’s Inn never disappoints! Great ambiance, attentive and friendly staff, and delicious locally-derived ingredients. Definitely worth the splurge for a special occasion!
Stayed at Settler's Inn and ate at the restaurant for a romantic dinner. The food was quite good, particularly the French onion soup and the wild boar Bolognese. The server was attentive, despite it being rather crowded.
It was our Golden Anniversary party and couldn’t have picked a better restaurant . Food, ambience (even had piano music) and above all the hospitality and service ... were all wonderful from the moment we walked in to the end of the evening.
Always excellent! Very nice atmosphere and wonderful service.
This is the second time my wife and I had dinner and next -day breakfast at the Settlers Inn.
The food is very good, the service is outstanding, the environment cozy and inviting and I believe it is a very good value. The live piano player made the meal a truly memorable experience. We would return again without hesitation.
As always the Settlers Inn didn't disappoint. Came a bit early so we could have drinks by the fire. Great ambiance. 2 of us had the Old Fashioned drink special garnished with a maple glazed bacon and it was excellent. 4 of us shared the Ode to Duck appetizer special and one of my favorite standby appetizers (Blooming Grove Smoked Trout). Both were excellent. Everybody enjoyed the main courses and we finished it by sharing 2 great desserts. The wait staff was great as always!
As always, The Settlers Inn was delicious. We had a lovely drink from the bar by the roaring fire and then proceeded to a fantastic table. There was literally something for everyone on the menu - and a willingness to make some slight modifications based on dietary needs. So good. And the atmosphere is great - quaint and classic.
We had a wonderful brunch to celebrate my aunt's birthday. Everything was wonderful even though the service was a little slow. The restaurant is beautiful with its mission style.
As much as I hate to say it, the food was disappointing and mediocre; pasta was quite under cooked (billed as al dente) and really the food did not thrill or sing. However, the salad under the chicken was very fresh and excellent. One might not be as nit-picky if the food served was in line with the cost (although that is no excuse). Beer was overpriced although it did not prevent us from each having a #. Ambience and signature birdseed bread as always was pleasing and little quince jelly appetizers were delightful and a tease.
Outstanding menu and service. Emphasis on local food and wines, which is very nice
One of the finest dining experiences in the area. Local ingredients cooked to perfection. Always a great selection to suit any taste. Excellent wine list and delicious cocktails. An extensive beer list also. Wonderful ambiance and the service is always exceptional. With beautiful guest rooms, this is also perfect for that nice weekend away. Very highly recommended for any occasion.
Food was outstanding. Piano player a bonus. Great ambience.
As usual, Settlers does not disappoint. We have been dining here for almost 30 years and every dinner has been a wonderful experience. You start with a cocktail by the enormous fire place in the lobby and then sit for a delicious dinner of farm fresh local ingredients prepared in a 5 star manner. Everything about the dinner is top notch and memorable. You won't be disappointed with a visit to Settlers!
Excellent as always! Good wine and service were wonderful.
We'd been anticipating our dinner at The Settlers Inn since we received a gift card over a year ago. We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed in spite of being the coldest night of the winter so far. The warmth of the fire places was so welcoming and the Christmas decor done with real class. After about a 5 minute wait, the host greeted us and offered to hang our coats. (We felt right at home!) The ambiance was warm and charming. The noise level a bit high. We were amazed by the wine selection. Service was excellent but a bit slower than we're used to. I recommend the traditional American cuisine items from the menu as opposed to an Italian dish. My husband's red snapper dish with Cuban rice was delicious but my shrimp and scallops over fettuccine was very bland; maybe they forgot the cheese! We felt the prices were fair; even the bottled wine prices. We'll be back!
Outstanding service and experience.
Service and good were great. Will def go back in the near future.
New Year's Eve brunch for three. Guest had steak & eggs, loved it. Partner had eggs benedict, very good. I had onion soup and the special omelet, very good. Once again the Settlers bunch had the place decorated beautifully for the holidays. Service was professional. Perhaps the best meal of the many we have had in this venue. If only the onion soup were served in a non-metallic vessel!
Still one of the best restaurants in the area after years of our going for both special occasions and just when we feel like have a special meal. Great arts and crafts ambience, fabulous food, terrific wine list, and great service.
All good! Great experience on s beautiful setting!
Great place - outstanding food, excellent service and atmosphere.
Classic setting. Very good food, thoughtful seasonal menu, extensive wine and beer selections. Should be a gem - however service was slow and largely inattentive - so much so that my meal was served lukewarm. Considering the price - I would expect better...
Great food, attentive and friendly service without being too familiar. Several staff wished us happy anniversary and made us feel special. Excellent wine list!
We had a holiday dinner here. We love the big fireplace and the festive mood. It is a beautiful Inn, local spot, and nice for an elegant meal. I would say the service was a bit slow, but they were crowded. Also, I am vegetarian and ordered the three sides. Would have been nice if I was told they were huge portions! Not a lot of vegetarian options. My partner had a nice meal, wine list is good, and the bar serves great cocktails. Overall, great ambience with average menu, in a great location.
We were there last summer and the food was superb. Ordered one of the same items this time and it was lackluster-not bad, just average. The food was presented beautifully but was bland to eat- no surprising, interesting flavors-boring Brussels sprouts. The venue is lovely. I’m wondering if they were just very busy that evening or they had a new chef. I would try them again because of such a wonderful first experience.
We love the Settlers Inn! Their breakfast is delicious, with fresh muffins before the meal. We also come here for the holiday brunch, a family tradition, where the ambiance is beautiful and festive! I can’t recommend this place enough!
I enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food quality. Also, the over and above complimentary service for my wife's and my anniversary.
Excellent!!! we went for my wifes 56 birthday and the whole experience was wonderful.
Everything was exceptional! Made a friends birthday a day to remember!
The menu varies with the seasons using local farms. The food is always fresh, tasty and original.
It is our first choice for special occasions. We have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
My husband and I greatly enjoyed the Holiday Brunch. The Christmas decorations were lovely and added to the ambience. $49 included bottomless mimosas, starter, entree and dessert. A wide range of choices were available. The service was excellent - attentive and friendly.
Excellent dining experience, the whole staff is great and food was wonderful. Always a great dinner at the inn.
Always an excellent choice. Great food, great service, great ambiance.
The restaurant at the Settler's Inn is beautiful in any season but takes on a special aura in the holiday season. Tastefully decorated, the main room has a stately ambiance and feels cozy despite the fact that the room is large. Start the meal with a cocktail by the fire and then enjoy the quiet background music while sampling the menu. We all had the quail appetizer with pear tart. Out of this world! And once the staff knew it was my birthday, dessert was on the house.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated for the holidays and is especially inviting this time of year. The menu is diverse and the food is presented very attractively and we like the local ingredients that the chef builds his menu from. more importantly, our meal was delicious. the only drawback to this particular experience is that our waitress was busy with other tables and after taking our wine order, we waited for the wine and to order our meals an excessively long time. Finally, she enlisted the help of other staff and our wine arrived and shortly thereafter our order was taken. Both our meals and the wine was very enjoyable.
Gourmet cooking with fresh, local ingredients. Special and unique foods. Very pretty and cozy.
We absolutely loved the Settler’s Inn! We stayed at Ledges and went for my boyfriend’s birthday. (Note - They don’t have Uber here and we had to call a private driver since there was no shuttle service between the two sister hotels, a bit disappointing.) I heard great things about Settlers prior to dining and it did not disappoint. We were seated at a nice, quiet table by the front window. We started with French onion soup that was AMAZING! And portion was just enough so it would not spoil dinner. Then we had grilled calamari salad - I would skip this as it was super small With what seemed like 2 pieces of calamari. Next we had the filet mignon and the salmon. Both were generous portions that were cooked to PERFECTION! Even the mashed potatoes were tasty. Finally, we were treated to a complimentary dessert for his birthday - the British toffee pudding - which I am so glad I had the chance to try! It was great! Service here was impressive - everyone was so kind and attentive without being overbearing. Restaurant was nice and upscale without being stuffy. Loved the beautiful piano music. We will def be back!
Had a very nice time . Everything was perfect. We will be returning for the holidays
