   My skirt steak was the size of a tiny chopped hamburger served with greasy french fries. That was the worst $30 I’ve ever spent. A basic dirty martini came out twice tasting like something I’ve never had before. There’s no simpler drink to make and even that came out wrong twice. We were surprised the first time we went there we had a very good experience but clearly the food portions and service have gone down but the prices have not

   poorly thought out menu with unappetizing food. French Onion soup was way to sweet, pork chops were not well seasoned and the skirt steak was uninspired and lacking flavor. Acoustics were terrible and the noise level was deafening-unable to carry on a normal conversation.

   This was our first time at The Settler’s Inn and it did not disappoint. The food and drinks were amazing and the ambiance was perfect. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and enjoyed it very much. We will definitely be back.

   The food was terrible. Due to the ambiance and high prices, I expected something amazing but was disappointed with unseasoned dry food. Recipes tried to be fancy and were just bad. No salt at all on the food.

   Settlers is a wonderful restaurant. But I feel that the quality of the food has declined somewhat over the last few years. It’s still a beautiful place with great ambience and wonderful waitstaff.

    We are locals who have eaten in just about every restaurant around over the years. Our first time at Settlers was absolutely amazing. The staff was great. Our food was even better. Our meat was so full of flavor and tender. One of the best steaks we have had in the area by far. We will be returning! Highly recommend!

    Very nice atmosphere and service was wonderful especially our server Ginny. We ordered the filet mignon and pork chop dinner which was delicious and well prepared and presented. I was a disappointed however with the "fresh farm vegetables". I expected fresh farm to table tasting veggies but these had a sweet sugary taste instead. Overall, great dining experience.

    Amazing as always. This is a gem in the Lake Wallenpaupack area. The building and grounds are beautiful. The food is delicious and the drinks are superb. We’ve eaten there many times. This time was for brunch. It was delicious. The server said the menu changes every week. We are looking to going back again soon.

    Settlers in is beautiful, the staff is wonderful. I hate to leave a bad review, but the food was absolutely terrible. My husband and I went in a Saturday night for our anniversary. We were so looking forward to this dinner, as we don’t go out very often. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, it didn’t come with any sauce like it was supposed to and was very bland. For dinner, my husband ordered a pork dish wish pineapple glaze and I ordered the skirt steak. I feel terrible saying this but both dishes were disgusting. The pork had no flavor, no pineapple glaze but just one ring of what looked like canned pineapple. My skirt steak was cut into thin slices with a thick sauce on top that didn’t really taste like anything, the vegetables were soggy and the fries were just boring. The waiter was super nice and offered to put another order in for us, but there really wasn’t anything else on the menu we’d try. It will be a long time before we try Settlers again, and it’s such a shame because the staff is so wonderful and the restaurant and grounds are so beautiful.

    The dirty rice was awful. Filet mignon was tough. The knife was not sharp enough to cut it. Wasn’t a good cut of meat. Onion soup was just okay. We had difficulties having conversation because the piano was loud. We like the piano and the songs he chose but it was a bit too loud.

    First time for Wednesday Jazz night on the terrace and it was fantastic! Band was wonderful! Food and service 2nd to none as usual. The bands volume was not too loud. Jazz is the perfect venue for the terrace which seats a smaller crowd than the main dining room

    great place.....very good experience....love going there......the only concern that I have is that the tap water is unfiltered and the overall taste is crappy.....with that being said....the entire town has poor tasting water.....stick to wine or beer

    The Hotel and staff are very sweet but this food was no better than what I could cook myself. I'm not sure where the "farm-to-table" phrasing comes from. The veggies are seasonal but the food had no flavor.

    The Settlers Inn is a lovely place to have breakfast love the atmosphere and the food was pretty good not sure if they are short staffed but we had to wait quit a bit to be seated and to get our drinks and even longer to get our food a meal that should have maybe been an hour tops took two hours we did have a lovely sweet and caring waitress who was kind and treated my husband to an on the house birthday treat all in all it was lovely and would definitely go back

    We sat outside on the terrace. The food was great and our server Dan was OUTSTANDING! We had a great time. The only negative aspect was our hostess who was a bit cranky and not very nice.

    Calling all carnivores, the meatballs are worth whatever drive you need to make! All the other food was excellent as well as is the setting, ambiance, and service. Love the sommelier!

    The ambiance was wonderful, very “old school” resorting. It was a very busy night and that might have slowed service because it seemed a long time between ordering and arrival. The food did not arrive hot, one of the parties French fries that were served with their steak were slightly more than warm and a little greasy. My pork chop was good but over sauced which detracted from the chop and the interesting black rice served with the chop was a little gummy. I have eaten in two of this local chain’s other properties and they were excellent so this may have just been an off night.

    Really wonderful time overall. The grilled leeks were a little thin and sparse but otherwise delicious. Overall I'd give this experience a 4.25, I'd like to come back on a weekend to see a full dining room with the full ambience. Thanks for having us.

    Lovely outdoor terrace overlooking garden. Staff all attentive and friendly to us.. And our dog. Food fresh and delicious.. Beer nice and cold. Will return.. Highly recommend
