The Settlers Inn Classic French Onion Soup
Excellent! First time there with friends and everything was great between service and hospitality! Highly recommend this to anyone.
We always enjoy the Settler’s Inn. We had lunch there this time. The French Onion Soup and the trout were fantastic.
Beautiful in and outside dining. Fire pit in the back to sit around after eating in the summer. Gorgeous gardens.
Charming restaurant, excellent food. One of our favorites!
Fabulous meal and excellent atmosphere and service 😃
Very nice dinner experience—nice ambiance, and everything was delicious. The radish appetizer and French onion soup were especially good, as were the cocktails and dessert. Attentive, friendly service, and we really enjoyed the piano music.
Great atmosphere. Food was good but over priced for the quality i would expect more out of a 46 dollar steak.
We love to eat at Settlers. The service, food and Settlers itself make it a wonderful experience.
Awesome but the breadth of the menu could use improvement
Poor selection of entrees, you do not choose the side dish for your meat selection. Wine is limited selection and very pricey. Went there early and was the 2nd one there. Dessert options limited also. So very disappointed in everything. Will no go there again.
Beautiful place, excellent service, and fabulous food!
We love going to the settlers inn or special occasions. Food is creatively prepared and of best quality. Always delicious. Beautiful gardens to enjoy after dinner and the bar is a special place to have before dinner drink. You won’t be disappointed coming here. Brunch is delicious too
Ambiance is amazing. Food is just ok. Sat in the outdoor deck, service was good.
Wouldn’t go out if my way to eat there. It’s nice to visit on occasions.
Very limited menu.
Let me start by saying we love Settlers Inn, we make it a point to eat here every time we’re in the area. We had the French onion soup, Filet mignon and the delicious English toffee cake for dessert, recommended by our waiter. The dessert was probably one of the best we’ve ever had. We sat out on the patio overlooking the beautiful gardens. The service and food is always exceptional. Our only complaint would be the table next to us had two dogs both seated up at the table and the gentleman were feeding them food off their plate and letting them drink right from the water glasses. I find this unacceptable, this is a fine dining establishment, you are not in the privacy of your own home. People should be respectful and leave their pets at home. I am surprised Settlers Inn would even allow pets. I’m sorry but not everyone wants to hear your dog yipping and not everyone wants to eat with your pets. Now there is dog hair on the seat cushions for the next guest...GROSS!! Also having them up at the table drinking and eating off dishes that another guest will eat off of, I find this disgusting and extremely disrespectful. Yes, I know they will wash the dishes but still. I hope Settlers Inn rethinks their pet policy for their restaurant, in order to make it a pleasant dining experience for all.
Wonderful experience. Great service. Beautiful venue. Outstanding drinks. Tasty food.
Fantastic service in the dining room and the bar. Loved the wine flight in particular and the crudités.
Our entire experience was very good! The only thing was the very limited menu
The Settlers Inn was absolutely outstanding. Everyone in our group of 5 found the food to be exceptional. One person said it was the best dinner she had ever had in her life. (She ordered the chicken.) Others at our table enjoyed pork tenderloin, trout and crispy tofu. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The prices for this high-caliber restaurant were very reasonable. I had to double-check the bill to make sure they hadn't forgotten to charge us for something. It was a wonderful experience. I can hardly wait to go back to The Settlers Inn.
Food, service, and ambiance were top-notch, as always.
We have been dining here for years, and never had a bad experience.
Extremely disappointing experience. Although our party of four was seated promptly (we reserved a table in advance) and our order for coffees and food were taken by our waiter, no one brought us coffees after waiting 35 minutes. Others parties seated after us were served coffee and food. After pointing out to our waiter and the restaurant host twice that we were still waiting for at least coffee, we left without coffee or food after 55 minutes.
I would highly recommend this to others. Just the bread was dry and not appealing at all. Everything else was awesome and we don't need the bread anyway!
Great food! Amazing ambiance. Fantastic service. Highly recommended!!
Can’t beat the Tuesday night Burger and Brew for $10.00. You’ll need a reservation but it’s worth it!
Ok experience. Everyone working seemed like they were in high school or college and just generally kinda slow. Staff would disappear for 5-10 minutes at a time.
Always a great experience at The Settlers Inn. The service was superb, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere can't be matched for an arts and crafts lodge. Don't pass up the opportunity to dine here. Especially on a Saturday evening, with live music!
We were celebrating birthdays. Food was wonderful, though menu seemed limited compared to years past. The dessert, English toffee pudding, was out of this world!!!
I love Settlers! The food is always interesting and tasty. I felt the service wasn't up to it's usual level, but understand that the food industry is hiring and training people right now. We never heard about the specials (didn't even know they had any until we overheard them at the next table over). We also had to wait for water refills. All in all - we still love it here and can't wait to come back again soon.
Settlers is my favorite restaurant. It’s always a pleasure to go and eat. The staff is awesome and nothing is a problem. Very comfortable atmosphere and the food is fabulous. This was my first time out to eat since last March.
The Settler's Inn is a jewel in northern PA. The service is outstanding with the servers anticipating your every need. The menu is always dynamic with elegant surprises and twists on dishes that you have seen before. this attention to detail in the planning of the menu is what keeps customers coming back again and again. The drinks menu has many new propitiatory drinks selected by the bar, but rest assured that whatever drink you order will be made to perfection with all the elements shining through. There is a comprehensive wine list that is priced accordingly and offers many surprises. It is so refreshing to have a staff that enjoy their jobs and are a joy to have serve you. Last, but not least the dessert menu is a delight. There is no other oasis like the Settler's Inn. You pull up to a dazzling display of tulips and you just know that your evening will be as dazzling as the carpet of blooms.
This restaurant is beautiful. The Settlers Inn is a quaint hotel with beautiful grounds. Flowers and plants everywhere. The food was delicious, as were the drinks. We will return!
The service was very slow, my food was cold, and the dining room was only half full.
Very busy on Mother’s Day, could have used another waiter Food was excellent!
Used to be my favorite place, but mothers day was a disaster. My brother just bought a house on the lake near there and is always entertaining. Hard to recommend them now. Reservations meant nothing, all staff were NOT wearing masks, and food was never hot when it arrived. We are just so very disappointed.
My expectations were not met after reading the reviews. After we were seated, we waited 30 min to get drinks, 1 hour and 15 minutes to get appetizers and 1 hour and 30 minutes to get kid’s chicken nuggets. My toddle was losing it because was so hungry.
The food was of low quality. Meatballs were hard, vegetable soup cold, and entrees tasteless. The only good thing on the menu was chicken which is hard to get bad anyway. Not sure if they had a change in chef, as I heard the food was good in this restaurant, but we were all very disappointed.
The service was very slow. My appetizer plates were never removed by the waitress, she forgot one of our drinks, and we were missing silverware.
The only good thing was the design of the place and the piano man. He played “baby shark” twice to calm my hungry toddler. Thank you!
Very nice dining experience for me and a friend. Pork tenderloin was the best I've ever had! Melt in your mouth delicious. The canape to start dinner was a nice treat - and also delicious. We enjoyed our dinner and would definitely recommend the Settlers Inn to friends and family
Very quaint Pennsylvania place. I would recommend sitting on the Terrace
Good time yesterday. Seems like there were not enough servers. Our waitress tried her best, ut things got busy. Portions were smaller than I remembered Tasty as usual.
We have been customers for years, not a good experience this past time. The entree’s were all overcooked and sadly our server was inattentive. This little town needs this restaurant, hope they can get their game back!!
