Several items on the dinner menu were not available for a 7:30pm reservation. We had seen the menu previously and went with 2 of the entrees in mind. Both were not available. Service was good.
Been coming here for 40 years and this brunch was horrible! They were out of 2 items of 4 and the prep of what we got was not edible. The waitress was either new or stupid’! Was charged $60 for the meal that we didn’t eat
Wait time was horrible. Waited nearly 1 hour for our appetizer! Waitstaff was nice, not their fault...some mix up happened in the kitchen. Honestly, that happens, but NO ONE told us..we had to inquire. Not good...should have kept customers informed. People began to walk out.
Food was poor to mediocre - overpriced- service was extremely slow- used to be a favorite brunch place - now doubt we will ever return
Great live music and the whole place sang happy birthday to my husband; good food. Excellent service.
We’ve been to the settlers inn several times for nice dinners. Last nights dinner was such a disappointment. We drove over an hour to get there and had a reservation. The wait time to get our meals was over an hour. Even to get the bill after this disappointing evening took forever. I had gone out to get the car from around the hotel and when I pulled up front my wife still had not gotten the bill back with her credit card. Needless to say this will be our last time there’
Then Onion soup was acceptable but not exceptional. One in our party asked about mocktails and we were told they couldn’t really do anything. That was very unlike any upscale restaurant. We found all of the food over salted. My gnocchi dish came was served lukewarm to cold. I rarely do this but I sent it back for reheating.
We have been to the settlers inn many times and it has been our go to place before. This time was just disappointing as it did not meet our expectations.
Chris the server was kind and apologized for each issue.
Everything was nice… the menu definitely reflects the flavors of the season. I ordered the gnocchi dish. The flavor was great, although the gnocchi could have been cooked a bit longer… they were a little mushy. Will definitely return. Ambiance is very nice.
The place was very nice. The prices are high the food was good but not worth the price. I know it is a resort area but was too much.
Service was excellent!!!
Everything was cooked perfectly it’s my favorite spot in PA.
Settlers Inn was fabulous. Even with limited staff, we had a great dining experience.
The place is very well decorated but the lights could be turned up a tad. The food was good. However the regular menu is somewhat pricey. Instead of a special off the regular menu, they offered $20 burgers and fries. The burgers were better than average, the fries left under a heat lamp about 5 minutes too long. All in all a well decorated and well staffed restaurant. I just think the menu needs some tweaking, especially if they want to cater more to the middle class.
The food was great, service wonderful, would definitely go back
As always Settler’s exceeds our expectations! It’s a cozy and warm place to dine with impeccable service and deliciously prepared farm to table food.
Delicious food, nice setting!
Dined here redo nights. First night was a little disappointing. Filet was overcrooked and not very flavorful. Second night had tomahawk pork chop that was outstanding and served with nice sides. All other aspects ie service , ambience, desserts were top drawer.
We went to the Settlers Inn for dinner while we were in the area on vacation. What a wonderful restaurant! They had just changed the menu, and my husband and I ordered the venison. OUTSTANDING! Can’t wait to go back next fall!
The crawfish special was really bad. No flavor at all. The waitress would disappear for long periods of time. But, the smoked trout appetizer was great
Settlers Inn is always outstanding! I love the ambiance the best! Gardens are wonderful! Looking forward to sitting by the fireplace in the winter..inside is very romantic and love the low lighting! Food and service is always fabulous. Hopefully will stay there at some point for a weekend. Thank you!!
We took 2 friends from NYC to dinner here. We have been there a few times and always enjoyed it. We had a great time, our guests loved it. It got very noisy so that we couldn't hear each other without shouting, but that seemed to be due to a large party at one of the tables. The cold borscht was not enjoyed but the rest of the meal was excellent as was the service! Prices seem to have gone up considerably.
We had an awesome experience at The Settlers Inn celebrating our anniversary.
Such a lovely spot. A treasure to find on our camping voyage south!
Having gone to the Settler's Inn numerous times over the years and having positive experiences, we were surprised to experience the evening that we did at our most recent visit. It took more than 20 minutes for a server to come by our table to ask for a drink order. He then proceeded to make it difficult to order what we had wanted to. The salads we ordered were drenched in dressing and weren't enjoyable. The main courses were cold and lacked flavor. We will probably not be heading back anytime soon but will probably give the establishment another opportunity to fix the issues.
We are never disappointed when we dine at Settlers Inn. The food is delicious. My wife had the beef tenderloin and I had the roast duck. The portions were generous, tender and tasty. We had the Irish pudding for desert and it was scrumptious! Our server was excellent as well. They do a 1st class job!
Food and ambience was very appealing. Our server was on the slower side and forgetful. Didn’t follow through with asked questions. Wry tasty Martinis, however I would wish to have more half bottle wine choices. Overall we had a nice evening and will be returning in the future.
Not enough parking and 15 minute wait for table but overall a very good experience. It was a 45 minute ride but would come back again.
Lovely evening, delicious meal…wonderful birthday celebration!
The food was very good. I ordered the burger and it was very delicious. The wine list is big. The ambiance matches the surrounding.
Excellent dinner and environment to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Wasn’t cheap but it was excellent food and service which you would expect at a high end restaurant
They were short handed despite an early reservation. Courteous but forgetful. Similar to many other restaurants in being short handed. Not good for attention since we were there for a birthday celebration.
Food is always terrific
Wonderful dining experience
Late brunch food was good but service was slow.
I fear the pandemic has dealt this restaurant a hard blow since a meal there a few years ago was very good. This time the service, though friendly, was VERY slow. The menu limited and one of the two main brunch dishes was not available at 12:30 pm. The hot dishes were lukewarm at best and a salad was soggy. One of the shrimp in my shrimp cocktail was virtually raw. We declined to press our luck by remaining to take advantage of the free dessert offered because we were there to celebrate a birthday. I truly hope that the management is able to return to the Inn's previously high standards.
My favorite night is Friday because they have the piano player. They’ve expanded their footprint by adding dining cabins behind the gardens. I’m happy to report that in spite of the expansion the ambiance, service and dining experience remain top notch.
It took an hour to get the food and it wasn’t quite what it used to be
Beautiful lodge & dining room ambience. Good service & meal. Nice piano music playing in the background.
My husband and I have been dining here for close to 30 ys. We usually come for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversary, Valentine's Day, etc. We recently dined here for my husband's birthday. We come for the food and the atmosphere. This time, however, we were extremely disappointed with the service. The waitress was awful.
My husband took me there to celebrate my birthday. It was a beautiful experience. The service in the food were excellent!
