Excellent! Service was a bit slow because of the volume of customers. Would like to see at least a drink on the table shortly after arriving. We had time to pick our drink and food and order them together. Spectacular food.
Great pork shank osso bucco and gluten free chocolate cake for dessert! My BF had a burger that looked amazing and the tiramisu, which I did taste and was delish. Nice little spot with personality. The executive chef introduced himself, which was a nice touch to the personal feel of the space as well. Will be on my to go rotation!
We were disappointed in our night out at Scotch and Vine. Both the red and white House wines were subpar. My husband had steak and he did enjoy it, but my brined chicken with potatoes and gravy was so salty it was barely edible. I realize brining does increase the sodium content but this dish was over the top salty!
Atmosphere is nice and service was good but probably will not return.
LOVE Scotch and Vine. Eaten here several times as a couple and with family. Every dish is delicious. Our new fave.
Don't pass up Scotch & Vine. Had I just been driving by, I'd likely have kept going. The front is nothing exciting, and even the interior -- though by no means bad in any way -- didn't translate to the fine reviews S&V has in Open Table. That said, the food is very good, and the service we had was exceptional. S&V goes for locally sourced, including their wines which did not disappoint anyone at our table, including some extremely well-versed wine aficionados. Again, a great spot and we'll come back. Best advice: Don't judge a book by its cover.
Great service. Tender and juicy steak. Unique ambience, gotta check this place out!
Food, service, all great! 5 stars! Love the scotch and vine!
S&V is always great. One new person at our table loved the mac & cheese. For me the Osso Bucco is the best!! And personally I love the FOG salad sans blue cheese.
I go for the ever consistent decadent food
We love the Scotch and Vine and have dines there too many times to count. The food is excellent and the price is reasonable.
Wine flight had lovely wines at a reasonable price. All of the items we ate from appetizer to main dishes were very well prepared. Looked like all diners were have a great experience in the entire restaurant. Small , cozy, fun place. Be sure to make a reservation Since restaurant is popular and seating is limited.
New Years Eve!
Upscale bar and bistro with whisky flights and superb wine list. Service was extremely friendly and helpful and "made" the evening.
Server was well versed in explaining all menu items, not only the high end choices.
I had the filet, which had wonderful flavor and was very tender. Other dinner was Osso Bucco, which server said would impress in both size and taste, and he was correct. Good selection of wines also.
Amazing selection of whisky to choose from. Try a tasting flight if you're unsure of what you like. The food is superb and the available wines by the glass pair well with any dish. Quite a gem of a place. We'll be back.
Great restaurant great food and service I would highly recommend this place
Music started at 7pm. We were unable to enjoy the company of friends and family as the music was too loud, not energetic. The food was terrible. My dinner was especially bad. I ordered the Seafood Putanesca- 3 shrimp, 1 scallop, no olives and an extremely watery sauce. The beet salad had very little goat cheese. There was only a couple bites. Overall, our dining experience was very disappointing. I would definitely not return or recommend Scotch and Vine.
1 guest lamb chops were excellent and another guest ribeye was extremely fatty. We will we be returning to your restaurant especially for the lamb chops.
Excellent for people who prefer mostly vegetables, fruits and greens. Even so, my date had swordfish which was perfectly prepared and cooked. How often have you had moist, tender swordfish? The humas here came in three variations and they were all delicious. There is a broad and plentiful cheese list. We had Cougar Gold sharp cheddar. Yum!
Service was attentive and accommodating. The chef came around to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. (I wonder if that's because they knew I had had an Open Table reservation?)
There's great wine, beer and of course Scotch Whiskey (oh, about 133 different kinds!) to choose from. I had a beer you don't see in too many places: Dogfishhead 90 minute. Excellent.
The only edge here was the noise level rising and falling depending on the crowd size. It was Friday night and those folks tend to be unwinding and having a good time. Don't blame them. We were too!
Birthday dinner at Scotch and Vine where the food is terrific. I had lamb chops which were cooked exactly the way I like. Husband had rib eye steak and he loved it!
While the service is still a little slow, it is friendly and accommodating. The food is very good, although not excellent. The portions are quite large, but splitting was not a problem. We went to meet a friend to enjoy the live music venue, which we did. I/we would go again.
Amazing experience! We have been to Scotch and Vine before and decided to have our 31st wedding anniversary dinner here last Saturday. They gave us a very nice table and the service was impeccable. The food was absolutely amazing, everything was perfectly cooked and presented. The chef even came out to check on us. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed and appreciated it.
Heard about this place checked out the reviews and wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed the wine and a flight of whiskies. Had the cheese platter and a bowl of gumbo both were very good. Friendly staff good atmosphere and fun. Will certainly be back
We like the Scotch and Vine because of it's city feel and great food. We have had good experiences with our wine selections, of which Scotch and Vine represents from vintners around the world. Discovered last year, revisited this year, Scotch and Vine is on our winter holiday wine tasting calendar and will remain a favorite as long as we are in the PNW to enjoy it. It's simply an enjoyable venue.
Loved the vibe from the get go. Hostess and waiter were fantastic. Loved the wine list, including by the glass and flights. Food was exceptional. Had the flatiron steak, and my wife had the filet mignon. Wonderfully prepared and good size portions. Will definitely be back!
The Scotch and Vine is my go to place, whether its after work to wait on the traffic to go or for a business meal it never disappoints. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is excellent.
The Scotch and Vine's menu is very diverse with entrees that range from unique appetizers, to small plates, interesting salads, burgers and sandwiches, and large plate entrees.
The service was superb, including the visit from the chef.
We tried this place for my wife's birthday dinner. She had the Mac & cheese with steak on top, I had the osso bucco, and my son had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. All were quite good, though it could be argued a tiny bit bland on the osso bucco. We'll go again:
Simply perfect! My filet mignon was cooked to perfection, the meat was incredible. Wine selection and single malt would make Scotland jealous. My favorite restaurant in the Seattle area. A true Gem I feel lucky to have found my first day in town
The loaded fries, deep fried pickles and macaroni and cheese - add beef - were excellent. Rye Manhattan was very good too. Service was good, too - just enough attention that we got what we needed but still felt like we had plenty of time and space to visit without being interrupted.
it is a cozy place that made us feel like home from the minute you came it. Service was attentive and delightful, friendly and helpful. The food 5 Star it was amazing. Strongly Recommend the Osso Bucco it will knock your socks off.
We've dined at the Scotch and Vine many times and love the ambiance, food, drinks, service - everything! It's one of our favorite places.
The place itself if reminiscent of an old english pub. The food was excellent. My husband has never been this happy with a cheese dish. The prices are fair. I always feel I need to add a tip for them and that to me is the glass they used for a margarita. It was something I expect to see a scotch and water in. Of course they are a whiskey place but if you offer other drinks, glass appropriate is advisable.
Great staff, friendly and fast. Worth the visit and revisit.
Service was terrible we had been here 3 or 4 times before and brought our friends to enjoin the experience but the service was the topic of the night instead of the ambience.
The mac and cheese is the best. I could eat the beet salad every day. Everything was just superb!
We really loved the food and the ambience. We will be going there again. The pasta was amazing and my husband had pork chops that were fabulous
Met a couple buddies for dinner on short notice. Setting up the reservation was easy. Scotch & Vine has been at the top of my list ever since stopping by on a whim a couple of years ago. Staff is great and attentive, though when busy we once had our meal lost in the shuffle and had to re-order. But I came back without a second thought because it's a personal place and the food has always been unique and very tasty. Already thinking about the next round of Kilt Lifters and a flat iron steak! By the way, S&V, please keep stocking Pike's Kilt Lifter!
A hidden gem in South Seattle. Enjoyed every bit of my experience at The Scotch and Vine. Already planning to visit again and try bunch.
Glad I made reservations! Thursday night was busy. Large party while I was there with my friend so service was not outstanding, BUT food was amazing and so many great things on menu I cant wait to go back. Filet was sooooo good.
