Food and drinks were great
Service slow. Food that came out was wrong. Food wasnt amazing. Drinks were the saving grace.
The entree’s were barely warm but the taste was great.
I was really early for my reservation but they were able to seat us on the patio w no wait. Food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend ordering all of the veggie dishes to share for the table. Cocktails are fantastic. Great place to show off locally sourced Austin food to out of town guests.
We were dining early in order to get to a concert; our waiter was very helpful in getting our orders out promptly and correctly. Most of us ordered from the Happy Hour menu, which is an amazing bargain - really tasty food (a large portions) for very little money. Good cocktails, too. Music on low so we were able to converse, a plus.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Salty Sow. Both the food and drinks were out of this world!
Longhorn run pre meal. Great place to prepare for a 5k with chicken liver mousse
Everything we ate was amazing, 3 apps, 4 dinners and 2 deserts. We shared and nothing was a miss!! The food came out promptly but service was a little slow/ my cocktail went dry/they could have sold me another cocktail or 2 for sure. It is fairly loud but a good energy.
Food was so delicious! Cocktails we're good too! Our server was on the ball!
My mother loved it. She was visiting from out of town. The meat (ragout, pork butt, redfish) was perfectly cooked and we loved the beet salad. Great first night for Mom in Austin. Thank you!
Food was amazing. Happy hour deals are amazing aka get the brussel sprouts. And the bone in filet are a steal
Really nice cocktails. Great food. Innovative menu. Nice twists on old favorites.
🤔🤔🤔candied pork belly 🤯🤯🤯
Never disappointed at Salty Sow! Everything I have had there is amazing from their Signature Sips to the Organic Beet Salad and Chef's Daily Specials. Does not hurt that they have happy hour 7-days a week!
Food and crafted cocktails were awesome..
We found this restaurant through other reviews, as we are on vacation. It was delicious! Despite being busy, the service was wonderful and prompt. The nightly specials are definitely to be considered, as three in our party chose off the special menu.
Have you got my grey sweater..v neck...possibly left Sunday evenung
I enjoyed the food moderately, but some items were VERY spicy and unbearable (should mark them very hot/spicy). The dessert was not good at all (please work on improving your selection and quality). The panna cotta, which supposedly was a special and not among the usual dessert items, was very old and not well made. I will go there again but maybe next year. There are many more good restaurants in Austin to try.
Fried chicken was good. Drinks were good. A good place for after work dining.
Salty Sow is one of my favorites. The deviled eggs cannot be beat. It is worth the price, but if you want to save $, go during happy hour! I wish they would bring back the tasting menu that had 4 courses on it for $20, because I would probably be there weekly!
Great drinks! Excellent service with an attentive staff. Fun evening.
The Salty Sow is a really great find. Their food is unique and tasted good. My server was not very good and we were seated at the very back of the restaturant right by the server station for my birthday unfortunately. I would recommend not going too late in the day.
Yummy food, good drinks, huge dessert, great service, comfortable chairs. Will definitely go back.
We asked for a quiet table because our friends are Europe and their 1st language is not English. However, we were seated in an extremely noisy area. The food was good and reasonably priced. The waiter was slow to take our order, inattentive, and slow to bring the check.
As always, there was truly delicious food and excellent, friendly service at Barley Swine. It's always a great place to take a work guest!
Overall nice experience...
Overall, I was disappointed. They first tried to seat me outside on a humid day without asking if that was ok and I had made a reservation so should have been given priority. Inside tables were available and I was moved when I asked to sit inside. The appetizer of deviled eggs was good. My meal of crispy chicken thighs was bland but my boyfriend’s pork butt was very good. I was disappointed in the banana foster dessert because it didn’t even taste like banana’s. When dissected there was only a tiny piece of banana in one part surrounded a ton of fried batter. The server was ok. I’m pretty I mentioned it was my birthday when I made the reservation but it was not acknowledged.
Took my family here during a stay-cation. They loved the atmosphere on the patio and the food was delicious.
First time dining at the Salty Sow and it did not disappoint. The daily menu was delectable, the cocktails were impressive and the food was worthy to write home about. Great, attentive service and neat atmosphere. Will certainly be back.
We really enjoyed the Salty Sow. We're gluten free (paleo) and we found several great options. We will definitely be back!
I love this place. I would come here more often if I didn't have two small kiddos. That being said, we have come here on two out of four anniversaries and hope to come for many more!!
Food was generally good but small portion. I had the candied pork belly which was very good and the Brussels sprout leaves. Ironically, my largest portion was my dessert, the Strawberry “shortcake” which used short bread instead of shortcake. While I appreciated the innovation, it simply didn’t work with the short bread.
My waitress was nice but quickly handed my check after my entree which was my first dish. She did not ask if I wanted dessert or anything else and the experience was soured by it. The area where I was sitting the floor would shake every time someone walked on it.
I had higher expectations for this restaurant based on reviews and came out disappointed based on the service and portion sizes.
Regular tasting food but decent ambience . My apps and entree came together after 40 min wait . No vegetarian options , the only veggie dish they have is grilled flavourless vegetables @ 15$ .
Great meal at a reasonable price. Had the pastrami salmon, which was great for sharing, and a Brussels sprouts caesar salad. Can't wait to come back to have it again!
Food was great and dessert was even better.
Consistently great food, drinks & service!
Salty Sow is easily in my top 5 resturants in Austin. Thank me later.
Everything was great!! The food was delicious, I had the snapper and my husband had the pork chops. We started with a charcuterie board; it was phenomenal. Our server, Leonard, was awesome, super friendly and super helpful! Will definitely go again!
Went for date night. Need to make reservations for weekends for sure. The food was great and the service was better.
