Service and food were impeccable. If you are looking to try a new restaurant this place should be on your list!
Deviled eggs were delicious. We also loved the brussel sprout leaves and the sauce on the redfish was amazing
We had a good experience. This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We came in from out of town. The food was delicious and the service was great.
We had a fantastic dinner with a group of friends. We ordered three appetizers, two salads to share and cocktails. Each person (5 people total- no one ordered the same entree) ordered an entree. The food was wonderful, our server was very knowledgeable and made good recommendations.
Great place for happy hour! We loved everything that we tried including the deviled eggs, the fried chicken, the eggplant fries, and the brussels sprouts.
Food was excellent! Service was good and fast! The only negative: made a reservation for two for a special occasion and they put us in the smallest table by one of the doors. Would have preferred a quieter, nicer location.
Great food. Great ambiance. Our waiter was friendly, but a little too chill/laid-back.
The food was excellent. The service was good. The noise made it difficult to hear our tablemates.
Great bone marrow. Pork cheeks melt in your mouth
The food was phenomenal! Great atmosphere. Form to table concept, so basically everything is locally sourced. Two reasons for 4 stars. First, while our waitress was lovely, it took a long time between ordering our appetizer and our entrées, so the wait was a little long. Second, we were seated right next to the window which was pretty, however the window was very drafty. It made it quite cold at our table even though you could tell the room was warm. Made it hard to decide if I should wear a jacket or not!
Would still love to go back! Maybe just a different table. 😊
Did not like the server. Wasn’t too courteous
Came here on a date. We were seated outside on uncomfortable stools when there were plenty of open tables inside with more comfortable seating. I guess they were trying to fill up the outside as nothing was done for us even after we stated our discomfort. The service was fine - neither good nor great. The food had good flavor, but was very over-salted. At least the restaurant lived up to it's name!
The food was great and the service was amazing! They have great options and reasonable prices. We went during happy hour and were pleased with the options and prices. We will definitely be back for another date night!
This was our second visit to the salty sow for happy hour and we again enjoyed it. All the appetizers were delicious- we shared four items among the three of us. All drinks were delicious and service excellent!
Loved it. Went with a party of 8 all from out of town and we all loved it. Especially desserts! Great waiter!
The Salty Sow is one of our favorite places to eat in Austin — if not THE favorite. The food and drinks are always good, and we like to try the specials because the kitchen really comes up with some great surprises. The service is impeccable. Our favorite Friday “date night” but also a place we like to bring friends and family.
Great tacos and chicken. The banana beignets are very near r finish
Great service and food.
Unfortunately we did not have a great experience at salty Sow. This is the third year we went there for our anniversary. However, this time it was disappointing my husband’s food was not hot and the pork chop I got was tough and was cold. I was offered a replacement meal and repicked a pork belly. Sadly it was hot, fresh and a good cut, which made my husband feel even less good about the cold pork belly he received that was small and had too much fat on it. By the time my replacement mail came, my husband was finished so I asked for mine to be packed up to go. I ordered dessert and coffee. It took 15 minutes for me to receive my coffee. I did love the desert, but it was not the anniversary we planned on. We will try them again since we have many good memories there, but if it is the same we will never go back.
Great farm to table experience. All of us got something different and it was all so good.
Great service, got a ton of food for the price which was awesome! Prices were reasonable and the servers and the person who sat us was incredibly knowledgeable! Great spot!
Excellent Christmas Eve dinner. Our table was ready on time. Great menu. Quick service. Everyone was happy with the menu choices. Beef shoulder and blackened redfish were favorites. Also the grits, mushrooms and Brussel sprouts were good sides. Also liked the happy hour menu.
Best deviled eggs in the city!
A wonderful place to have dinner or just drinks and happy hour. Even with the cold weather, they have made the patios cozy...and The Blanche is worth the drive.
Food choices are original and extremely tasty. Service was excellent.
Delicious food, great vibe, excellent accommodating server. Mark my words: I will return.
Food was great and so was the service
This place came highly recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I chose it for my birthday. They accommodated my party and all of the food was amazing. The ambience was very nice and I would definitely visit again.
Loved the whole experience! Will be back
A fun place to have dinner in Austin. The food and service were both great.
Great, as always.
Always a treat. The salmon pastrami is amazing and the choices are plentiful go go with it.
Great drinks, and food is always tasty. The charcuterie board is perfect to share and you can’t go wrong with the duck fat fries.
Great happy hour deals: Chicken/biscuit/honey sauce and a coffee was only $9. 3 different tacos were all delicious.
We have visited the Sow often and enjoy it every time. I did not like the caesar salad this time - much too much garlic.
Fabulous food and service. Kid friendly for patient kids- all food amazing but the ‘ simply prepared’ vegetable platter was not Simple but still delish.
Salty Sow is really good food at a very good value. Quality is excellent, variety is excellent. Cocktails are freshly made and fun. Charcuterie board is a really nice starter for the table with some unique offerings and toasty bread. Fun and worth a trip
Superb service and food. Pork and fried chicken tops the list!
Loved the food as always, service was outstanding as usual and the Butterscotch Budino topped it all off!! One of our favorite places, always SO good!
