The Salt Creek Steakhouse is located in the heart of Breckenridge's' historic district. Since 1997 we have consistently set the benchmark for great Steaks, mouth watering BBQ (cooked slow and low) fresh fish, poultry and vegetarian dish's. Our restaurant is one of the few quality establishments in town capable of catering in house to large groups and special events. I think it was an off night. We waited over 45 minutes for our entrees and 2 in our party had steak and fish that was not properly cooked. What was cooked right was tasty. They did the right thing and took the two entrees off the bill.

We had a wonderful dinner for Valentine’s Day here. The review are true. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are all so kind and attentive. We will be back. Great value for your $$ as well.

Salt Creek has a new chef and it shows! My fish was spectacular, husband’s elk was amazing. Sides were wonderful accompaniments and the service was excellent. (Shout out to our waitress, Jules, she was fantastic!)

The dinner we had tasted delicious. The service was some of the worst service I have ever had. The restaurant was only about half full but, it took a half hour to get the waitress to place the order, then didn't see her again until nearly a half hour after we had finished eating. It took another 30 minutes to get the bill. We won't be back on account of the service which is too bad because the food was great.

We were looking for a steakhouse while we were on our ski trip and there weren't too many options. We found other places online, but Salt Creek had more of a variety for steaks. Other places had one or two steak dishes, but Salt Creek had them all. However, I don't know if it was because we had 7 people in our party and they had to wait for everyone's orders to get cooked before serving, but a few of our steaks were no longer warm and a few were overcooked. We were all very hungry so we did not complain. The staff was friendly and they were conveniently located.

Had a 6:30 resv on a sat nite, they sat us right away, place was jammed. Waitress came right away, food came out slow but steaks were great! All in all good night

Went for dinner on a Saturday night after a day on the slopes. Would highly recommend the elk london broil. It was delicious. Wait staff was friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was perfect - busy, but not too noisy. The bar upstairs was a fun hangout with a lively crowd and a line up of live music.

Went for brunch when other local hangouts were overbooked. Good call! Great food in a slightly dated (rustic) decor. Very nice and helpful staff!

We ate here on a family ski vacation. The ribs were the toughest and most dry I have ever tried to eat. My husband and daughter in law thought the same thing. It took us over an hour to get our food once we ordered. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and conversation. The noise level was tremendous and the tables were crammed together. Not a good experience. It was the only place we will not be back of the 7 places we ate :-(

We were very disappointed. I have been there in past years but it is no longer on my rotation of restaurants in Breck. 3 of us ordered the filet mignon. When you pay $42 for an 8 oz steak you expect a certain quality. These were far from that. These were $15 steaks passed off as $42 steaks. My friend's steak was half the size of mine and was cold. He asked for it to be warmed up and the waitress offered a new steak. He said yes. But she did not come back for over 10 minutes and when she did she asked "Do you still want that steak" so clearly she had not ordered it. He said no because we did not want to wait but she never took the first one off of the check either. The other steaks were not really cooked to our asking and was very disappointing. Service was poor. This experience did not compare to other nice restaurants in Breck.

We’ve been coming here for years and have really enjoyed it in the past. The atmosphere and food were good, however from the time we sat and ordered and got our food it was an hour and a half. The large party that came in after us got their food first. The waitress told us it was the kitchen’s fault. The manager was very accommodating when we brought it to his attention and offered us a discount for the inconvenience.

Our waitress was very kind and good. But our food was horrible. Worst we have had here in the last six days. We wanted roasted chicken and they had sold out as well as ribs. So we ordered brisket and sausage. The brisket was so tough we couldn’t cut it with huge steak knife and couldn’t chew it, sausage was ok. The fries and mash potatoes not good, but the corn soufflé was delicious. The margarita was like from a bottle. Had brownie with ice cream it was ok. Waitress was very good so can’t blame her for the bad food.
