Valentine’s Day dinner
Restaurant busy, very good service and food was good but not great -mainly because some of the food that should have been cooked/warm was noticeably room temperature. We still enjoyed our visit

We have never eaten at the Salmon House though we have considered it many times over the years. Thanks for a great evening from the moment we came through the door we were warmly greeted. Our waiter was excellent. We never felt rushed. Too bad you weren't closer to White Rock.

Last night of Dine Out Vancouver. We were disappointed in the lack of Vegetarian options on the menu. Previously there were a number of fish dishes to choose from but on Sunday night all but one of the seafood dishes had meat in them. Service was good but too fast. We were in and out within 75 minutes. We like to relax more.

I thought it was good but I felt it probably should have been in the $30 category instead of the $40 category.
Servings were quite small and I felt the appetizer choices could have been better. The salmon was delicious, but again, the entree serving was quite small. Dessert was delicious, but again, the servings were small.

This was my worst dining experience is years.
Firstly, the hostess, bus person and manger were helpful.
The food was simply awful.
The food took 52 minutes to come (at brunch)
When it came there were too many disappointing elements to write about.
The service was totally, oddly terrible (no idea why)

The food was really good. I ordered Sockeye Salmon(don't normally look for it) and the way it was done, it was awesome. Service was pretty good as well. It was a special occasion (our Anniversary) and there were sparklers too, wonderful. We should be back.

Salmon house has always been excellent for cedar smoke salmon,
the beef tenderloin was excellent also despite the small portion,
Bread rolls were charged and the Dine-Out Menu items seemed to
be sampler sizes. Overall food was good, atmosphere excellent,
at $40.00 for 3 course meal, great for small appetites.

Wonderful dinner at this classic location. Got lucky with a clear-ish January night so the view was nice. Dine out menu had some good choices so we went with that. Good food, great service, hard to ask for much more. Can’t wait to go again.

We ordered from the Dine Out Vancouver menu and it was delicious. The Dungeness crab cake and tempura prawn appetizer was great. We then ordered the Alder Grilled Beef Tenderloin {with the Lobster tail add-on} for our main course served with baby vegetables - carrots, onions and herb roasted potatoes - all cooked to perfection and delicious. For our desserts my wife finished off with the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cheese Cake and my choice was the Frangipane Cherry Tart served with vanilla gelato, both were scrumptious then finished off with a couple of cups of great coffee.
We both really enjoyed our meals and the view is always spectacular. We will be back to the Salmon House soon...

A lovely birthday celebration with good friends and wonderful food. Love the lobster bisque, this was the best meal I have had in a long time. Once the fog lifted the city lights were amazing.

We have been here before and always have enjoyed the experience. This time we came for the dine out Vancouver selection. We were very pleased with the selection of foods and the generous proportions. We did add some bread to our choice of meal and some oysters.

I went here for dine out and have been here twice before (during a non-dine out period) and each experience has only gotten better. The service and food was still fresh and impeccable during the dine out experience. We ordered some oysters to start and it was as fresh as you can get! Really good restaurant for either a group party , a special occasion and/or first date! For someone whom is relatively well versed with the hip food scene in Vancouver, this place is still a classic gem that I keep coming back to!

We went for my husband's birthday and it happened to be Dine-out Vancouver. The Dine-out menu was fabulous, lots of variety. The crab cake and prawn appetizer was delicious. I had the steak (probably one of the best ever) and my husband had the salmon which he said was amazing. The desserts were not only delicious but pretty to look at. I highly recommend getting the bread basket with the salmon butter! Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We are looking forward to going back again soon when Dine out is over to try other tasty items from their every day menu.

I brought my wife here for her birthday, it was both of our first time. We both ordered the salmon off the dine out Vancouver menu. It exceeded both of our expectations. Our server was excellent as well. Our table was a little further from the beautiful view initially, but thanks to our server we moved closer after our salads.

Excellent samplers offered for the Dine Out Vancouver menu. All of my 3 courses were superb. I chose the beef tenderloin which was tasty and succulent. Service was great as always and Diane our server went over and beyond presenting a candle in my delicious chocolate cheesecake with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate rim. Salmon House continues to be the gem of our neighborhood

The Salmon House is one of my favourite restaurants when I want to have a special dinner in an atmosphere where conversation is possible without our voices being drowned out by ambient noise of one kind or another. Although I know that the Salmon House's salmon is excellent, I am drawn to the other sea creatures, and in particular, the sable fish from Haida Gwaii which for me, is a little bit of heaven. The food is delicious but the atmosphere is warm, friendly, but also slightly formal. Service is excellent with the servers appearing needed but not hovering. And of course, the view is wonderful. My only desire would be to have wine by the glass in larger than 5 ounce portions.

Went for brunch and had the French toast with compote. You come here for the view, which was great. At night the ambiance appears more elegant than in the day but it's a good place for a casual brunch.
