The Saddle Room Ratings and Reviews
Their carpaccio for a started is a must try. I also love the variety of duck dishes they have. You don't see that option at many restaurants in the suburbs. Great for a date night or a special night out with friends. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Enjoy the outdoor patio and take seat by the fire with a martini or a glass of wine.
We arrived for a special seating on the outdoor patio to catch the Hoffman Estates fireworks display just across the field from the outdoor patio. The restaurant was not set up for outdoor dining into the dark evening. The patio was so dark we could not even see our food, there was simply no lighting on the patio to make dining enjoyable after dark. I ordered the 45 day aged Filet and it was served on a cold plate, given its a $35+ plate that meat should have arrived on a heated plate. Tasted Ok nothing special. The waiter did not come around often enough and indicated he had been working since 8:30 that Sunday morning... It showed. Seems like more of a bar than a dining restaurant. Two people $130 bill with tip... food was OK outdoor patio nice before sundown.
This was my third time there creative menu everything is good they will adjust spices or anything else to suit your taste very accommodating really knowledgeable wait staff just a great place would recommend it to anybody that's looking to have a great meal prices are definitely in line with what you get my favorite restaurant now
Made reservations weeks ago for Fathers Day. Never knew they had a brunch only! No regular menu. For $40 per person we had terrible service, horrible food, minimal selections and empty chafing dishes. Dirty plates remained at our table through out the meal. The buffet offerings were salty fatty and fried. Very few fresh options. Prime rib was dry brisket was so fatty it was not edible. No coffee offered. Very disappointed in this visit.
I was highly disappointed in our dinning experience at the Saddle Room. We went for Father's Day brunch and the overall experience was horrible. We looked at the reviews and thought that the food will be amazing but instead we ate bellow average food. We expected great food considering that the brunch was $39 per person. They were out of some food, other was sitting there for a while and even the carving station had meat that was overcooked. Deserts were cut in tiny bites and were all crusted and just bad. The only tasty item was brisket. I would not recommend anyone eating brunch at the Saddle Room.
The quality of food did not match the price. Too expensive but poor variety and did not taste good. We were there for a Sunday brunch and we all were disappointed. Expensive for nothing. Service is good. We have been there before for a dinner and it was much better.
Saddle Room was OUTSTANDING! Hubby and I were looking for somewhere new to try for our anniversary. The staff was awesome from the moment we walked in, until the time we left. The menu was one of the most creative ones I've seen in a really long time. Lots of things on the menu that made me go "well that's unexpected or weird," but in a good way. Lobster corn dogs? Duck and waffles? Poached pear salad? YES to all the above! Plus their cocktail menu was even more diverse and unusual. I mean really, who wants the same old boring cosmo? The food was not only delicious but a refreshing change. The service was outstanding. Everyone was super friendly and gave great recommendations. They have OTB here in a private room, which is nice if you want to play the races. It's also nice that it's a private room. Those that want to bet can do so. Those who just want to dine, don't have to have people shouting and having their dinner lit by televisions, but by candlelight instead. Didn't eat outside but their patio is AWESOME. I will have to come back very soon and totally found my new favorite place.
Best calamari I have ever had! The steaks were delicious (as they should have been for the price). Everything was very nice but the service provider insisted on asking "what temperature" we wanted our food and when I asked what temperature was medium she had no answer. I was probably just tired because it had been a long day.
The for was pretty good. The lobster corn dog app was surprising, but pretty tasty. My hot pepper, cream cheese & bacon grilled cheese sandwich was delicious. Husband's rueben could have been better, meat was really shredded. The giant ravioli was tasty, but definitely not filling. Flourless chocolate cake was good but could have used more of a drizzle.... Either chocolate or tart fruit.
Giddy Up... definite horse decor. We arrived 3:30 on a Saturday. Quiet while we were there. We tried few appetizers..flatbread and bruschetta, interesting ingredients. Our sandwiches were pretty good and my brother ordered the salmon gone in minutes. For dessert we ordered 5 different choices and shared: the Hazelnut creme was a hit ,but ordered as a fluke, truly great.
Will never go there again. Been there 4 times and it has now proven to be one time too many. The food is very good, overpriced, the drinks are watered down and the wine is overpriced. The place is too pretentious for the clientele they let in. That wouldn't be so bad if the atmosphere wasn't so absolutely horrible. Never saw a manager all the times we have been there. Sat in the bar where the door for servers to go in and out of banged SO loudly all day it made you jump out of your seat every time - EXTREMELY annoying. The chairs are so cheap that they hurt to sit on for longer than an hour. You can tell no one cares about this place other than to milk it dry and nickle and dime the customer. $13.95 for a supposed waygu burger that had no flavor and then you have to pay extra for each topping. French fries were to die for. Our server Hanna was great and we liked her alot. Two guys in the bar were yelling at the top of their lungs all day at the horseraces and disturbing the patrons. No one ever told them to shut up or keep it down. One table next to us were swearing openly and talking about their bodily functions all during our family lunch. Disgusting. I also noticed the four hours we were there, the bottle of olives sat out on the back counter and were never put back into the refrigerator. DO NOT get any olives. We went to this restaurant when it first opened and you can tell it has been let run down as the tables are all chipped and things are not taken care of. They could do so much with the place if it were run better. Go elsewhere.
I have always loved the food here but Mother's Day Buffet was not worth the price. Most food was cold. There was not a large variety. The Omelette was over cooked. I think they are just not set up for buffet style. I will absolutely return, as I feel this was an anomaly. Love the 🔥 and deck. Regular menu is awesome!
The brunch was just ok. The price, for the food that was served was too high. Usually we love dining here. Ordinarily, the food is great and we will eat here again, but not brunch.
Someone took silverware off our table when we went to the buffet and we had a hard time finding someone to replace it. I had to get up and go find some.
We came here with my in-laws for an early Mother's Day meal after another restaurant was fully booked, and it was a huge hit! This was more of a special occasion location for us, but the service and food was delicious. Everything had really unique flavors, and the drink menu was extensive. Definitely something for everyone, even if you're not a more adventurous eater. He only reason I have the food 4 stars was for dessert. We only liked 1/2 of the desserts we got. The others were only okay, although the main course definitely set us up for high expectations. I could totally come back here for appetizers and a glass of wine with friends. We sat indoors, but the outdoor seating with fireplaces looked really nice. We will definitely be back!
