My girlfriend an I had driven by this place for years, so this past weekend for our Valentines dinner I made reservations and we had dinner. The night started in a great rustic bar that was comfortable and well lit with handmade specialty cocktails that were awesome. My Old Fashion and her Manhattan were well made and very tasty and the bartenders open to conversation. We were then sat in a cozy dining room with a fire going, made even better with a falling snow. On first course she went for the Beet salad and I had the BBQ Oysters, both were amazing. The oysters were something I have not experienced, but with bacon, cheese and bbq sauce were simply amazing. For our main meals she ordered the Chicken Fricassee and I went for the special which was Rack of Lamb. Shortly after the waiter returned to informed me the Rack of Lamb was out but the Chef was offering me the Lamb Porterhouse in its place. I agreed to the change and upon telling the chef our waiter returned with a plate that had a Brie Tart which he explained due to the fact the Porterhouse would take a bit longer the chef offered us an appetizer to enjoy. It also was really good, my girlfriend loved the pastry on the outside. In a short period the chef arrived at the table with the Porterhouse on a cutting board to show me prior to his slicing , it looked amazing. Our meals came shortly after and it was nothing short of excellent. Her chicken was perfect and the mix of vegetables that accompanied it worked perfect. My Lamb Porterhouse was amazing, the meat truly melted in my mouth and the turnip/potato gratin I had chosen went so very well with it, they even provided the bone at the table. Even with all of this I requested a Sorbet for dessert which was Raspberry and it too was delectable. They followed that with a plate of candies and cookies as if we needed more. If you truly want a great dinner experience, this place is somewhere you need to visit. Local vegetables/meats made with care and perfection.

This was our first visit to the Ryland Inn since they reopened and it was a lovely experience. The renovation is beautiful. Our waiter was a pleasure and very knowledgeable. We both tried a house cocktail and they were both delicious. The food was outstanding. This is the perfect place for a special dinner. The outdoor seating looks great but it was snowing while we were there.

The food and service were fantastic. Every dish had so much flavor and was totally worth the value. My son who never wears pants was so thoroughly pleased that it was worth putting on pants for! That’s a good sign. Keep up the great work Ryland Inn!

We had our late Valentines + Chinese New Year dinner at the Ryland Inn and the experience was very enjoyable. We had the charcuterie board, which was fantastic. We had the very fresh and carefully shucked oysters. The seafood stew was delicious, and I particularly liked the roasted bread. The wagyu loin chop was tender and flavorful with the perfect amount of seasoning. The mushrooms side dish was wonderfully sautéed. The dessert pear consumme is light and presented in a surprising way. The service was impeccable and the server made us feel welcomed. The bartender created a refreshing cocktail just for me as I felt like having something with pineapple juice that evening. We had certainly ate too much. We will return soon to have a more reasonably sized meal - at least we'll try.

We always enjoy dining at the Ryland Inn, and this was no exception. The service was great, friendly and professional. The food was outstanding! I had braised apple-fed lamb with parsnip puree, kale and gnocchi - it was to die for. My husband had the hanger steak, also incredible! We'll be back and would recommend to anyone.

We went to the Ryland Inn for an early Valentine's Day Brunch as we prefer quiet, uncrowded spaces with food selections not usually available at home or other local restaurants.
We both had starters (Beet salad, Sheep yogurt) and a main (Brioche French Toast, Green Market Frittata) which together made for 'right-sized' meals for an early Sunday afternoon. Service from entry to departure was excellent as was cleanliness in the dining area.
A young & talented acoustic music duo (The Walking Brothers) played original music as well as numerous covers for several hours adding to our experience. They have played here on a regular monthly basis for more than a year and are a big part of the reason we dined at The Ryland Inn.

We will certainly be back...looking forward to outdoor dining in the Spring/Summer.

Definitely not the old inn. We got seated at a table with no tablecloth. For the price you're going to pay here, having a tablecloth and crisp table linen should be a given. As for service, our waitress was sweet, but she was pretty much alone in tending to us. Not like the old Ryland that had their wait staff outnumber you. As for food, wagyu beef and oysters were good. I had the black bass and it was overcooked and salty. Many of the accoutrements were good, but nothing I would go back for. The funniest one was the cauliflower mousse with a drop of caviar on top. This was the worst tasting cauliflower I ever had - bland, wallpaper glue. It was an insult to cauliflowers! Drinks were good. Cheese plate, good. Salads, good.
