Food always exceeds expectations.
Great food and service! Unique and out-of-the-ordinary dishes, as well as some well-executed staples. The grilled squid and octopus comes as a warm salad, perfectly done. Will be adding to my "must return" list the next time I'm in Orlando.
Early Moms Day Celebration the evening prior
We dropped in early and our hostess was able to accommodate us on a busy night before a concert - really appreciated. Perfect location for the concert at Amway Arena.
Great service (attentive and fun) and food (eclectic menu choices, well seasoned).
Great food and service in this downtown Orlando restaurant. The best of modern American food.
Highly recommended, and good prices too.
This is by far the best bar/restaurant in the Church Street area from all perspectives. It is our go to place when we are going to a soccer game or an event at the Amway Arena or Dr. Philips. Not cheap but worth it in our opinion. Staff is great and goes out of its way to make you feel welcome.
Great, unique and aeromatic cocktails. Food was fabulous. Go with the chef whim of day and you can't go wrong.
The experience beyond exceeded our expectations for our anniversary. I will dream about the food (at least until the next time we get to go back). Service was excellent. Drinks were delicious. And the sweet celebratory dessert at the end made it that much more memorable.
Wonderful food! Service was a little slow, but great for date night.
It was an excellent evening and atmosphere.
Our first visit to the Spoon. We have been more oriented towards WP but live in the Mills 50 area now and have started enjoying downtown. We enjoy an early dinner before attending performances at Dr. Phillips and that was our reason to make the early reservation Saturday.
We completely enjoyed the food, ambiance and the great service provided by Sky. He cheerfully told us about specials and the chef's preparation of some dishes. We enjoyed three courses with delightful wines. The wine list is broad and artfully paired to the menu. The menu is so centered around the abundance of fresh ingredients found in Florida. We appreciate the use of local produce and protein. Thanks for such a lovely choice in our dining adventures in Orlando. We will be back.
Just moved here.... very refreshing to find a real organic restaurant with reasonable prices.... staff was very welcoming and down to earth with my family (two toddlers).... will most certainly be back!
It was a nice setting and good atmosphere. The food had a good presentation but tasted just okay...wine by the glass was priced above average. I got lentil soup and chicken for dinner and both really needed some salt!
Always a favorite meal with excellent food, service and ambiance.
Chef Kathleen sources pristine, locally sourced products and treats them with great respect to create simple, full-flavored dishes.
I may be giving a secret away, but The Rusty Spoon is our go-to for dinner on theater nights, as it is a short and pleasant walk from here to the Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center. The food is consistently delicious, and while we have our favorites, we tried the Moroccan Lamb sandwich and found it wonderful! The crudites are always fresh, the drinks are spot-on, and the service is fantastic, just let them know of any time constraint and they've always graciously accommodated. So happy to have found this establishment, keep up the great work!
The food here is really special.
The restaurant felt alive. The atmosphere inviting. The staff exceptional in making you feel welcomed. The bar is clean comfortable caring and creative with their specialty drinks and your everyday cocktails. The first plates...what can I say...outstanding! I was wondering then could it get better? YES! It certainly does with the entree’s. Amazing. If you have been here you need to go. If you have been here go again! Thank you Kathleen fir an exceptional culinary dining experience!
Great food , great service !!!!
Delicious food as usual! We love this place and it’s ambiance. The menu changes regularly and has seasonal and local choices.
This is a modern casual space with refreshing authenticity in Orlando- seasonal, local, house-made food, with stellar flavors. And the cocktails were fantastic.
A little disappointed that I had to go to my fourth option for a beer as they were out of everything.
Great food and service!
Had a nice time enjoying food we aren’t normally able to try
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Rusty Spoon! Cat was our server and she was fantastic. We had a business dinner with clients and she was so intuitive in terms of when to interrupt, menu guidance, etc. Personality galore!
Food was extra special — loved the octopus app and salmon special.
Date night before a concert! What a wonderful dining experience. We sat at the bar to watch UCF instead of our reserved table. Such a fun time with other patrons. The bar staff was aces. We will definitely be going back. Food = amazing taste and quality. Beverages = creative and tasty. Staff = friendly and fun and talented.
The food is always excellent - Chef never serves a bad meal - our server was fine - could have been a tad more attentive about refilling our tea, but then we were there during the Duke-UCF game...so there was a LOT going on!
Such a great staple to downtown - one of our favorites. Always amazing dishes, and the usuals. Always recommended!
Beautiful, elegant setting, great location for downtown events!
However, the servers seemed overwhelmed and it took about 20 minutes after being seated for anyone to show up to take our drink order. Then at least another 35 minutes before the food showed up. The food is a bit pretentious, to say the least. There were 4 of us, most of which have traveled the world (pretentious?) and not afraid to try new things so when 3 out of 4 of us settle on the burger, it's not a good sign. Even the burger was trying too hard, flavorless and missed the mark.
I really, really wanted to like this place! And I will try it again, maybe it was an off night?
To be clear, the maitre'd and server were gracious and did their best to give us a good experience but they were definitely short staffed, and ultimately the food was just ok.
One of our favorite restaurants. It's been very consistent.
Mothers and sisters pasta they say, was great. The steak I had, although had great flavor, the steak itself was extremely chewy to a point I had to spit out a quarter of it. I would suggested using a better piece of meat and this would have probably been an excellent dish.
The food was great. The owners William and Kathleen made a point to check on our experience. The waiting staff was attentive and spot on. Overall a unique and memorable experience. The deviled egg appetizer is a must with enough to share.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Would definitely go back and will recommend to others for a great evening out downtown.
The quality of the food has gone down significantly in the past 6 months. We have had to return something the last two times we have eaten there. Service is spotty with the staff more interested in personal conversations than serving the customer. I would not recommend this location - overpriced, limited menu, quality barely average.
Food was excellent, service was friendly but slow. We had a show to go to and couldn’t order dessert as we had no time.
We try to eat here whenever we go to the Dr. Phillips Center for an event. The food is amazing!
The menu has solid basics such as the burger and fries but also offers some interesting surprises like the shrimp puffs that accompany the seared tuna.
My overall experience was just not what I expected. The menu was limited and the service was extremely slow, which was disappointing seeing how there were hardly anyone in the restaurant. Also the girl behind the bar was talking to her friend and was so loud I couldn’t even have a conversation with my friends at our table.
This restaurant can highly recommended because of the farm to table style menu! We had a reservation for 8 people, they seated us at a small table in the bar area, eventually they were able to accomodate us at two tables pushed together which was much better. In my experience in the restaurant industry, it's great to pre-set the tables with waters for larger groups, it helps save time! It tooks us 15-20 minutes just to get water, then to order drinks and dinner was another huge ordeal. We were sat 8:30p and didn't get our food until almost 9:30p. Our server seemed confused and frustrated with us. One member of our group orders salad that was on the specials menu and ask for a didn't dressing, server had to ask the chef, then the bartender behind us made a comment about it then finally the server remember. Waters were not refilled but once during our meal. No manager came over during our meal to say hello or check in us, usually table touches are normal for nicer restaurants. Overall the food was tasty but the service was terrible that we were not able to enjoy it. We were celebrating a friends bachelorette.
