We had lunch with our son and daughter-in-law to celebrate our son's birthday and it was wonderful!
Perfect my most favorite spot
First time there for their brunch. Love, love, loved it!!!! Food was spectacular, great violinist and guitarist made for a nice ambiance. Great selection of food and desserts! We will be back!
It was great, like always!
Just the best , that's all !! Great food ,service , surroundings ,convenient parking !!
If you're looking for a Sunday Brunch that could very well had been held today or 100 years ago, the brunch at The Roycroft Inn is for you. Stepping back in time, an elegant experience for people of any age. Exceptional variety of quality food set to a string quartet setting the mood in a historic setting. Recommended for those of any age. I will be making this my go-to brunch from now on.
Excellent food, friendly staff and cozy, relaxing atmosphere!
Excellent food & service. Seated promptly right near the fireplace. Was a bit noisier than I had hoped for.
We had a wonderful sisters' lunch filled with memories and laughs. The food and service were wonderful, rivaled only by the company. The specials were unique and very tasty. A couple of us had the "sliver" of the peanut butter pie for dessert. We could never have eaten the full portion, but this was a nice alternative. We capped the afternoon off with a leisurely shopping tour at the gift shop.
We have been to several events at the Roycroft including our 50th Anniversary. This time, however, there was a large and obnoxiously loud party in the dining room. We asked to be moved and while it improved, it did not rectify the issue. We were close to walking out.
The ambiance and historical tradition is excellent as was the food and service!
My 3d time, again involuntary. BLT? Bacon was burned, turkey was processed-couldn’t they cook one?-and there was something the color of ham. I don’t recall a tomato being there. Bisque was ok. The carpet at the door needs to be replaced. Hopefully, this time is the last.
We had birthday reservations for Sunday brunch. Our table was in a nook looking into the garden. It was the best table in the restaurant and we were very pleased.
Our servers were attentive and friendly. The food was deli and a classical quartet played while we selected our food. There was a wide variety.
The hotel itself is beautiful. It was so enjoyable that I am making reservations for an overnight stay to include Sunday morning.
We had a great time. The food and service was wonderful. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Our absolutely favorite place to dine and stay in East Aurora. Sadly, this year you were booked full but we still came to enjoy a lovely dinner.
The server, Susan, was friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Our meals were very good and nicely presented. However once the music started in the adjoining room we could barely hear ourselves talk. I won’t go back if there is nearby entertainment.
I love the Roycroft Inn. It has a very warm and homey atmosphere. Food and service is wonderful.
I Always love coming to the Roycroft. Service by Lynn was excellent, the food was excellent. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and we always enjoy East Aurora. I had the vegan curry and French onion soup, my husband had the crepe special and the French onion soup. We were both very pleased.
The overall experience of dining at the Roycroft Inn is unique. It is for special occasions, and lives up to that expectation. The Roycroft Inn is nostaglic and reminds one of the attention to detail that fine restaurants are noted for.
Great dining experience with inside and outside dining options. The menu changes seasonally and is varied and unique. Good selection of wines.
The Sunday Brunch was excellent! Well worth the $$
Absolutely love the facility. Brunch was excellent. Food offerings had some unique items not found at other places. Greatly enjoyed the vintage restored Inn.
Our dining experience was really nice. We arrived a little early to enjoy a cocktail in the bar area before dining. The food was excellent and nicely presented. We haven't been to the Roycroft in some years, but we will definitely be going back soon.
Our waitress Lynn was phenomenal...
Great service & professionalism...
Host & Hostess exceptional....!!
Made the evening peaceful after a crazy work week....!
Thank you Thank you Thank you.....
So Open Table had ads all over for Local Restaurant Week. We had a family occasion to celebrate so we thought it was a good time to try a place we'd never been before. We indicated in the reservation that it was for a wedding anniversary ( 43rd ) for someone who'd been through difficult health issues. Open Table offered only 2 options for Sat. Oct. 12th. for the Roycroft Inn Restaurant, both of which seemed too early for us for a dinner. Nevertheless, we opted for the later one @ 2:45pm.
When we got there, we were the only ones in the room. Next the server informs us that the menu for LRW is not available 'till 5pm! Also if we could decide ASAP as the kitchen was closing @ 3 to get ready for the LRW ! We wanted to walk out but we didn't just come from down the road, we ventured out of our way to check out this highly regarded place for a 43rd Wedding Anniversary.
The manager did come to our table to explain the situation but didn't really give us any options except for us to come back @ 5pm. Then asked if we wanted champagne ( didn't say if it was gonna be on the house or what.)
Anyway , our server, Philip, was good at his job, was attentive and helpful.
We all totally hoped to try the LRW offerings so we were disappointed for not being able to do that much less NOT be informed about the restaurant's time restrictions for LRW.
Our table ordered the Mahi mahi, a pasta with shrimp, crepes with beef tips& mushrooms, & the poke bowl. The favorite turned out to be the pasta/shrimp dish.
The dark chocolate truffle cake & Blondie with fudge were good choices.
We tried to make it an enjoyable outing in spite of an embarrassing predicament which we felt could have been handled better by Roycroft Inn Restaurant. In the end, the 3 glasses of Martin & Rossi prosecco was on the house, thank you very much.
However , for a place with a solid reputation for good service & good food I'm sorry to say that the Roycroft disappointed.
This was our first visit and wow, we were super impressed with how amazing everything was. Can’t wait to go back!
We love this restaurant. My favorite item is Lobster Risotto. We go to this restaurant at least 4 times a year if not more.
It was nice, service was good. Allowed plenty of time in between courses and never rushed us.
We were surprised that 2 drinks from the bar came to a total of $25.00 so we will stick with water the next time we go for dinner. Everyone in our party enjoyed the Restaurant Week dinners, especially the little dessert. Our servers were most attentive and checked frequently to see that our needs were met. The setting is most inviting and comfortable.
Very impressed with the service and the atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Great food too! Would recommend to everyone.
Reasonable priced dinner, excellent service, well presented & delicious meals
Everything was perfect. Plus it just so happened to be restaurant week, so we got a fantastic meal and dessert for only $20.19!
Our experience was a Buffet Brunch at Roycroft Inn: service was friendly and capable; music added a graceful atmosphere; the carvers had excellent filet de boeuf and porc; selections were numerous and appealing, especially desserts; a nice Mimosa was particularly pleasant. Had anything been amiss, we would say so. A return visit is certain.
I just wrote. The ambience is one of ease and harmony, good fellowship. Food oustanding. Service great.
A real Arts and Crafts world.
Our servicer, Susan and busser Sage were very good, we had a delightful time for my wife birthday. Our meals were great and prepared nicely. We will be coming back again soon.
I would suggest a little more of an extended menu for seafood, otherwise outstanding!
The food was great, service was wonderful and the patio on a beautiful day was delightful!
When we were there the computer system went down but the staff handled it perfectly without missing a beat.
The best best best Sunday brunch we have ever had! Presentation, atmosphere, staff all EXCELLENT! You will not be disappointed!! We were there to celebrate our son's engagement, 12 of us. We can't wait to go back in general...not necessarily to celebrate something...it is that good!!
This brunch was a delightful blend of old and new, memories and new adventures. I remember when there were a number of really great brunch buffets in WNY but they are hard to find. This one transported me back to the days of custom omelets, carving station and high quality everything. But there were lots of fresh takes also like the assortment of pickled and curried vegetables, buttermilk catfish and a watermelon salad with a perfect balance of sweet, tart and savory. And the desserts were amazing-pumpkin pie and chai cheesecake, banana pudding, gooey chocolate and nutty delights. The weather afforded a chance to sit on the Inn's peristyle, our waitress and her son who was bussing were so attentive and the string quartet's melodies wafted throughout.
We went there for the Sunday brunch. The atmosphere was disappointing. Everything felt as though it needed updating as it was old and worn. The gift store smelled musty. The lighting was extremely dark on the stairs where you went up and down to the buffet. The overall feeling was heavy and old. The food was disappointing. Due to the cost we expected a beautiful buffet. There was nothing special on the buffet . It felt like a diner breakfast selection. There were no shrimp, no smoked salmon, etc. The things you would expect making it a special Sunday buffet. The service was disappointing. Despite having made a reservation, when we arrived we were put in the very back. I sat facing the wall. What was the most distressing about this was that there were five empty tables along the windows. On each table was a sign that said reserved. I asked if we could sit there. She said no they were reserved. 20 minutes into the meal no one was sitting there. I asked if there was a large party coming. She said no. They are just tables for people that had made reservations. I said I had made a reservation. She said she was sorry we could not sit there. 40 minutes into our meal they continued to be empty. She came over and said if we wanted to move over to a table there it would be fine. We said no thank you as we were done. This leads me too definitely believe they’re just tables that are held for people they think are special enough to sit there when they come for the reservation. Imagine having people crammed in the corner with five empty tables along the windows? I rarely give bad reviews but this one was just over the top. I highly recommend not going to this establishment. Overall it was depressing, dirty, bland food and frustrating to be stuck in a corner with tables waiting for –??? Brad Pitt? Drake? What the heck?
