The Roycroft Inn
Dinner selections range from $16-$35, lunch from $7-$15,
Sunday Buffet Brunch from $29.00
Enjoyed our experience, but could not understand how they seated tables: everyone was seated on one side of the room instead of spreading tables out, and therefore the noise level was higher.
Food not cooked as ordered. Defensiveness why it arrived over-cooked reduced my enjoyment of the experience and enthusiasm. Service recovery training is needed. There are many other fine choices with better customer service.
A trip back in time to The Roycroft Inn. The menu is very gluten-free friendly, including desserts.
We ordered from daily specials, and their winter menu. Delicious risottos (as a main, or a side).
Great half size desserts available.
Polite attentive staff, vibrant fire flickering.
we happened to be there when it was very busy. It was loud due to a st.patricks party going on. Our food was very slow in being served but we did get a free bottle of wine. The wait staff was nice.
Usually food is good, we all had fish, was rubbery. We ordered the potatoe cakes with our mains, then they omitted the potatoe salad, not sure why
Service was excellent but food a disappointment
Brought my sister for her birthday. She loved the ambiance, food and just the overall feel of the place. Staff was super accommodating and helped me surprise her!!
This was our first time visiting the restaurant. It was a great choice for celebrating our anniversary. The food, people, and overall night out was great!
the plates felt as they came out of the freezer so our hot food was cool by the time we could carry it back to our table .but the food taste very good .
It was the perfect night, relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was beyond outstanding. A wonderful band played in the bar area. Perfect night
Great service and food. Good bottle of wine
Always an incredible experience at The Roycroft!!
Love the history of the Roycroft, amazing dining exp. The food is delicious! The service was awesome even with the restaurant packed with people. We look forward to our next visit!
Very nice place and food was cooked perfectly. Appetizers and bisque soup were delicious as well. Service was attentive yet not bothersome.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service!
Wonderful experience, however, the band in bar was loud towards mid to end dinner.
We normally love every bit of our experience however this time we brought a guest and the service was very slow , I think she went to smash the grapes as we waited for our bottle.. the curry dinners were outstanding and hot(temperature) however my mahi special was not very warm -disappointing and the server was rarely back
Very sad that it wasn't a great experience
Wanted to stay for the music but there wasn't a spot to sit or stand; MYb another time
It was an enjoyable lunch outing. Nice atmosphere- beautiful historic building, and very good waitress but it seemed understaffed. Only one waitress for the entire dining room. The food was delicious and the pricing was only a little higher compared to other restaurants serving the same food. We will be returning.
We had an overnight stay at The Roycroft Inn so we decided to have dinner at the Restaurant, as well. The Roycroft is a wonderful step back in time to the Arts & Crafts Era, started in 1895 by Elbert Hubbard. Our server allowed us to enjoy our cocktail before rushing us into meal choices. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner, starting with the Grilled Brie Cheese Plate that included the most wonderfully fresh blackberries and blueberries and Inn-made blackberry brandy jam and crostini. Our server was more than happy to provide us with additional crostini to enjoy with our brie. My husband & I both opted for the Veal Osso Buco special that was prepared to perfection. We chose to split The Dessert Sliver of the Apple Bourbon Cheesecake. The Roycroft never disappoints! We will be back!
We had a delicious dinner for 2 on my birthday. The Valentine's Day specials were still in effect, and you couldn't beat the deal. The lobster/seafood bisque was wonderful, my husband loved his HUGE Ceasar Salad, our entrees of filet and scallops were spectacular, and the flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee were devine...add the bottle of Cabernet included in the deal...WIN, WIN, WIN! The atmosphere here is very relaxed and our fireside seats were perfect. Service by Lynn was top notch. Thank you Roycroft Inn for a wonderful evening all around!
Maybe a little pricey and not an every Sunday brunch place. But well worth a splurge now and then. Everything about the place was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive, kept the coffee filled and making sure we were happy. A wonderful selection of food and choices. Quality of the food was great.
I took a friend for her birthday celebration and we were both very happy.
Disappointing. The pork was dry, the salmon dish was average. The other dishes, scallops and filet were good. But our celebration fell flat due to lack luster service. So not expected from such an iconic restaurant.
The fillet and lobster was excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful.
Phenomenal food; fantastic choice of live music. Stellar service from our waitress, Sue. Gorgeous setting. What more could you want from a night out?
Having requested a special table to celebrate Valentine's Day I was quite happy to be shown a table in an alcove two hours prior to seating. However, we were shown a different table upon arrival at our reserved time and never quite made the necessary adjustment to overcome the disappointment we experienced. This, in my opinion, is a serious error which necessitate something more than an apology. A bottle of wine or desert would have changed my memory. Consequently, even though we enjoyed our food and the table near the fireplace we are unlikely to return.
We went with friends for Valentine’s Day. The filet was good and cooked properly. My husband and I both ordered the tomahawk pork chop and it was so dry that we had to ask for gravy to help us eat it. The mashed potatoes were dry as well. However, we all agreed that the crème brûlée was delicious!
Service was rather disappointing. Our waitress never came to our table to ask us if our meals were acceptable. She seemed very overwhelmed.
The atmosphere was lovely and the people were very kind.
Had the Valentines dinner for 2. It was amazingly delicious and a superb value! That lobster risotto is perfection! Can’t wait to go back!
Service with a smile, great variety of food and drinks. Really nice decor. Would totally go back!
Fantastic historical building, great food, our waiter was very professional can’t wait to go back.
My friend and I had a catch-up dinner at the Roycroft, early in the evening around 5 o'clock, and it was a lovely experience. The "patio" was quiet pre-dinner rush and the service was incredibly attentive. The food - my gnocchi and her short ribs - was tastefully plated and quite hearty. For the price, both dishes were a bit bland, but I suppose that's what happens when you're trying to please a larger clientele. The stand-outs of the night were actually the desserts; If you're a carrot cake person, you'll love the Carrot Cake Mousse Dome. Overall, it was a cozy, pleasant experience and the hotel itself is a must-see if you're ever in East Aurora.
Always a great experience !
I already left a glowing review but I'll say it again. It was a wonderful experience from the food to the service and well worth every penny!!!
Made a reservation for lunch for a group/family get together. Nice choices and lunch prices were good. All were happy with their meals and we had lots of time to talk enjoy the company.
Fantastic Sunday brunch! The omelette was delicious, so were the little sausage links. I think I overdid it a bit with the bacon...go figure. But the absolute icing on the cake was the waffles!!! I usually refrain, but they were as light and sweet as , uh, icing on a cake!!
Food is excellent, ambiance was great and the wine was fabulous!
Good food, excellent service and the building is beautiful.
Great food Love the setting n music at brunch
Great service , outstanding dinner in a beautiful setting. A wonderful evening.
A wonderful return visit to the Roycroft In after 10+ years and the food, service and ambience were fabulous - so happy to have made the return trip!
The NY strip steak was a tough piece of meat and came out luke warm. The croquette was good and the veg side was below average. Appetizers were good. The desserts were average. The food is not worth the money. I wouldn’t go back there for dinner, only brunch.
This was my husband's and my first time at the Roycroft. We had a couple apps, salad and 2 entrees. The food was totally on point. Our server was friendly and very attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better meal and love the ambiance. We definitely plan on returning.
