Great food and great service with wonderful ambiance. Some areas in this old building can be chilly. Ask to sit near the fire in cold weather.
Restaurant week service extremely slow meat no flavor was over cooked
Best ravioli I’ve ever had!!
The only reason the food got 4 stars instead of 5 was that my filet was overdone. Ordered medium rare, and it was closer to medium. This happened once before, and by the time a new filet was prepared, the rest of the party was done eating...so I said nothing. It was still melt-in-your-mouth delicious! This was a restaurant week meal, and was very reasonably priced. Service was excellent, and the Roycroft has an ambiance that can’t be beat. I’m afraid we stayed a bit too long...we were renewing old friendships, and just kept chatting. We were the only ones in the place when we left after 9pm, but we were never made to feel like we needed to leave. Love this place.
Great ambiance. Our server was over whelmed with more tables than efficiently could be handled. The assistant server did nothing. Didn't remove plates as we finished each course. Did not refill water. Had to ask. My pork was dry and tough. I asked for more sauce and they gave me a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Companions dinner was very good. Filet and lobster. Not going back. At least for awhile. Used to be one of our favorites.
We usually do the Roycroft for special occasions and holidays. Easter was a bit of a disappointment as the restaurant was, in my opinion, somewhat overcrowded and one had to work around tables, wait staff and others while trying to navigate the buffet tables. Not up to what I have come to expect from the Roycroft for holiday celebrations. The offerings also left something to be desired. And, once again, we were originally sat at a table that was right on the wait staff path and in close proximate to a door that was opening and closing and there was a cold draft all through the dining experience. We did ask for another table, and after waiting for approximately 15 minutes we were seated in a different location.
The Sunday Brunch is the best in town. A beautiful facility and the staff is very attentive and smiling. Could be tricky for handicap diners as there are many areas with stairs.
Charming old world comfort in a very historic 19th century inn. Quiet town with special historic meaning and ghostly stories. If you can enjoy a wonderful day in this quaint town, have dinner and stay the night in the Inn. Food was exquisite with a good selection of wines.
My wife and I had a wonderful time, atmosphere was excellent, food was amazing and prepared as we requested. Excellent wine list, and the dessert was to die for! Highly recommend the Roycroft Inn.
We were very impressed with the ambience. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The food was excellent. I will definitely recommend The Roycroft to my family and friends.
Always excellent food, service and entertainment. Everyone there is fantastic
We had a great dinner in a comfortable setting. Enjoyed the historic qualities and preservation of the original "Roycroft." Dinner moved at a comfortable pace...not rushed...so we could enjoy our dishes and conversation. We were never rushed or ever waited too long for the next course. Waitress was helpful in describing the menu and wines to the point where we probably ordered more so we could share some dishes. Would definitely return!!
I rated the food at a 3 because my husband's braised short ribs were extremely fatty, leaving not much meat to be enjoyed. The remainder of the meal was to my expectations. I would also like to see the Inn Baked Chicken with risotto and the butternut squash ravioli brought back to the menu.
Food is delicious. Many options and most can be prepared gluten free. Thank you for all of the gluten free desserts!
Table was only set for 5, and outside was disgusting. One single snow path to get in when our party is older and disabled. Entrance had all sorts of stuffed just there. No class!!!!!!!!!
Brunch was amazing. Omelettes to order, carving station, pancakes, waffles, French toast, pastries, desserts. Yum! Only complaint is that they didn't have broccoli or spinach for the omelettes. Also, the tea pots don't have covers, so the hot water for tea doesn't stay hot!
The atmosphere was nice, dinning room was cold. Went for brunch and they advertise all these make to order stations the young man at the waffle/pancake station was making everything far in advance, placing it in a heated pan and directing people towards that which was all cold and soggy! Prime Rib at the carving station was over done the section they were carving when we went through. Overall disappointment. I may go again and try the regular menu, brunch buffet style dinning is often a let down.
Food was superb. Mark are server was knowledgeable and professional.
What a wonderful brunch. With the large variety of options, there was something for everyone. Staff was beyond courteous and friendly. We cannot wait to come back!
Coquilles St. Jacques was a disappointment. Just a few scallops. My wife's lamb shank was just ok.
Food was very good and server was very nice but everything was extremely slow!
The food was excellent and great Service. It was great for Valentine's day and I think it's a great place for a date or any special occasion
Great food and service in an historic location! We will be back!
We stopped here for lunch while traveling. Lovely, quiet setting in a garden room looking out on a courtyard. Nice menu, good food, quiet atmosphere.
Roycroft is a beautiful building but had only previously been there for brunch. Seated near the fire place in the corner room. Had a nice bottle of wine we brought for BYOB night. The chicken was tender and well prepared. A little far away or would come here more often.
Always a pleasure!
Great experience. The wait staff was excellent. There was more food than I needed at the brunch and the quality of the selections were outstanding. I will go back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
Couldn't have been more accommodating! Every meal was outstanding- salmon perfect with amazing sauce, lobster rosotto was heavenly, beef done exactly to order, chicken so delicious it was hard to believe it was chicken. And it was a quiet beautiful setting! Highly recommend![
Everything about this place was exceptional from the friendly greeter the extremely accommodating waitress Morgan. Our lunch was delicious. I would highly recommend this place in such a beautiful setting as well.
The Roycroft Inn is a unique place to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a quiet meal during the week. The food was awesome & the atmosphere is always spectacular, whatever the season. Everyone should experience dinning at The Roycroft Inn at least once in their life. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food as always -- Omelet station excellent, Smoked Salmon great. Very nice service and sat right by warm fireplace. Will continue to visit from time to time. Great place to take friends !
Much too dim, had to pull out a flashlight to read the menu. Food and service were good but not great. Overpriced.
We come here a few times throughout the year and it never disappoints!!
Most of the food was very good. Desserts were great. I would of loved to have a tossed salad but veggies were very limited. The prime rib was way to raw for our taste. Everyone at our table gave it a try but ended up not eating it. Service was great. I felt the brunch was rather pricey. Will likely give the brunch another try some time in the future.
Meal was outstanding and the service was awesome. Very friendly and energetic staff. We will be back !!
Roycroft never disappoints. Always a wonderful menu, great ambiance, very classy place.
This was my first brunch at the Roycroft and it was for a very special occasion. I booked online telling them that I’d like a special table for a special occasion and they accommodated every request I made. The live music was exquisite. The selection and quality of the food offerings were amazing. The brunch cocktails including the poinsettia and the flavor of the coffee were delicious. The service was impeccable and friendly. They even assisted with our early check-in to the hotel which was important to me. It was the best brunch I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend sitting in front of the fireplace in the winter. It was perfect.
Went to dinner for New Year's Eve - seated promptly at a corner table for two away from larger groups. Dinner and wine both great!
We made a reservation for four on New Years Eve. We were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. Everything was very good on this night despite the large number of people also dining out and celebrating. Our waiter was very attentive and informative. Our food came out in a timely manner and was very good. Desserts were excellent. A very memorable evening.
Went here for New Years Eve dinner. Food was delicious. Have been here several times for Their awesome Sunday brunch as well and have always enjoyed the experience, especially in summer for dining outside.
