The Royce is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Reservations are accepted 5:30-10:00pm Tuesdays through Thursdays and 5:30-10:30pm on Fridays and 5:00-10:00pm on Saturdays.

The Royce | Wood-Fired Steakhouse is a beautiful setting for private events such as wedding dinners, bridal showers, engagement parties, anniversary parties or other special occasion celebrations. The Royce can accommodate parties of up to 12 guests with reservations in advance. Buyouts of the restaurant are available for seated dining (up to 100 guests) or for a cocktail-style reception (up to 150 guests).

The Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse at the Langham Ratings and Reviews
Well, The Royce was kind of a let down. Always wanted to try this beautifully designed/decorated steak house in one of my favorite cities, Pasadena. It has the "look" going for it but, the steak was sub par. Also, the music was not "on point." Blues mixed with Country in a chic, white, room doesn't work. Honestly, I'd go again and skip the steak (I had the Wagyu). The waiter touted it as: "melt in your mouth" so, of course I needed it. Originally, I was going for the Filet and Lobster but, the staff went on and on about the New York Strip Wagyu, that it was a "No Brainer" or, so I thought. The au gratin potatoes and my wedge were stellar and so was the bread pudding but, the main event was chewy, slightly too charred on the outside and not my speed. The bonus and reason for going to The Royce is next door is an amazing bar: The Tap Room. Dark, Bruiting and a killer jazz band that rocked some of the old peeps out of their chairs and into a little "scoot" on the dance floor, charming. I'll go back for that anyday...
Our dinner was OK. There are a lot of other places that are more innovative than the Langham though. We brought a bottle of wine, bit also ordered 4 other drinks for 2 people and were disapointed wit the $35 corkage fee they charged. For $300, I think there are other options and I don't think we would go back again.
Unbelievable filet mignon! Perfect for our 2nd wedding anniversary! Servers were gracious and had a good sense of humor! Sides of broccoli and Mac n cheese were perfect complimentary side dishes with our Aztec oven steaks! We are beer people and they had a excellent array of beer. The Japanese black lager is a must. Don't miss out on this dining experience you won't regret it!
Exquisite food, great chef. Nice ambiance, excellent attentive service. Very knowledgeable staff. The food is quite expensive but worth it. This is a very high-end steakhouse and it is amazing to be able to taste the different flavors of meat from all over the world.
There are two things I didn't like -
1. The ambiance (appearance and view out windows) is beautiful, but there was loud blaring music that sounded like hard rock that ruined this for me. If I'm going to spend a lot of money to really enjoy a nice dinner, I don't want intrusive music. I asked the waiter about this, and they turned the volume way down for me, which I really appreciated.
2. The dress code is "elegant casual" - and so I dressed up. I like a restaurant where everyone looks nice if it is a high end restaurant. However, this was not enforced, and I was disappointed to see folks in jeans / shorts . . . . . this impacted the ambiance for me.
The Royce is a wonderful place for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself to an indulgent evening. The ambiance is relaxed and romantic, and well suited to a pleasurable dining experience. Fantastic service that made our night really memorable. The wait staff was very attentive and made sure that every detail was executed perfectly. Lastly, the food. It was simply presented, but perfectly executed. Steaks were juicy and flavorful, sides were nice complements. Not a great place for the budget conscious, but for the right occasion or special night out, this is well worth it.
We planned the day to stay at the hotel and dine at The Royce. The restaurant did not disappoint. We arrived at our reservation time and after the hostess asked if we had any food allergies (no) and was the evening a special occasion (yes) immediately seated us. Our waiter was friendly and made us feel special. He suggested a very nice wine that I was not familiar with and it was very good. We ordered the lobster bisque (actually had two nice pieces of lobster in it) and the sweetbread appetizer - excellent! Then we had the porterhouse for two - charred rare and it was cooked perfectly.
Angie was wonderful! I planned this dinner for my parents' anniversary and wanted to preorder and prepay for everything. Angie took the time to go through all the steps with me and my parents had the best experience! Thank you thank you!
We came to this restaurant for a birthday while staying at the Langham. Our reservations were for 8pm. We ordered quickly and it took almost an hour to receive our entrees with very little presence of a server or any staff in between - and when we did see the waiter he was incredibly rude. The food was great but the service was terrible!
The ribeye and skirt steaks were superb. The John Dory was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauce was impressive. The deserts were not mundane but rather very flavorful. The severe disappointment were the grilled artichokes. They were a disaster, and unfortunately the starters - tough, tasteless and the dipping sauce was bitter. The chef should go over to Houston's restaurant on Aryo Seco and try their grilled artichokes, they are to die for. Despite the severe disappointment on the artichokes the rest of the meal was so spectacular that we still left feeling very good. But have the chef check out Houston's because we would love to come back and have artichokes at The Royce.
Service was a bit pretentious overall and we had a little incident...the server poured wine in my water glass. It was an honest mistake but a mistake nonetheless and something that could have easily been made right. They didn't resolve it and then charges us $35 more than the listed price of the bottle.
All that aside, the food was great!
The service was what really stood out. Often times you indicate an Anniversary when you make the reservation and it is ignored, not here. The food was great and different. Warm Kale salad and truffled spinach were excellent. I ordered the ribeye and it did not come out as I had expected. Our server insisted they take it back and brought out a new steak cooked perefectly. The bread pudding for desert is a must have as well. Food was great but I can't say enough about the excellent service.
The food was very good. Some very unique appetizers that were outstanding. Noise level increased substantially as the restaurant filled up. We were already staying at the hotel and I would recommend it if staying there; but we would not make a special trip to dine there. Value was ok; as the menu was very high priced.
An absolutely lovely evening with great food made better by wonderful service. A memorable experience from start to finish. With so little fine dining in the LA area, it's great to have something that is this upscale in my own part of the city. It's also so rare to have fine dining- and especially a steakhouse!- even acknowledge vegetarians, but Royce went above and beyond.
The food is too salty, the soup is too salty too. I have been in the hotel for over 29 years since it still on Ritz.-Carlton , I even stay the hotel for over 10 days 2 years ago when my Arcadia house is under the remodeling.
But for this years, the food . the service is much lower than when it is Ritz. especially a lots of time is too much noise . People are talk loud all over the hotel.
I am always have my dining etiquette class at The Royce steak house . The afternoon tea class in the lobby lounge, The lunch meeting in The Terrace beside the pool, A drink with friends in The Tap Room once a week.
I really like to see The Ritz back !!!
We went to The Royce for the first time to celebrate my birthday, on July 4th. We loved everything we ordered, the service was excellent, and the ambiance wonderful in this elegant, high-end steakhouse located within the Langham Huntington Hotel. We have absolutely no complaints and nothing but praise for the entire experience.
Excellent cuisine. Impeccable service. Quiet, relaxing and although a bit pricy, I experienced a steak called Japanese Wagyu that was worth every penny! Such a memorable evening, including a generous treat from the sommelier, and a divine complimentary birthday creme brûlée.....perfection. Thank you to our waiter Steven for the delightful evening.
The staff at the Royce was wonderful. My husband and I were there celebrating our 10 year anniversary and they acknowledged this special occasion very thoughtfully through a card, champagne toast, and small dessert. Our celebration was made even more special with their efforts. Thank you!
The Royce made my daughter's 21st birthday celebration one she will remember forever. The restaurant was also very proactive dealing with a severe seafood allergy and gluten intolerance among our group. I can't think of a single suggestion for improvement; the meal was perfect.
