The Rotunda serves afternoon tea seven days a week beginning at 1:30 p.m. A tea experience reservation is necessary to enjoy our daily tea service. Any dietary restrictions must be noted at least 24 hours in advance of your reservation.

The Rotunda specializes in evening events including wedding receptions, corporate and convention dinners, cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners and holiday parties. Holiday parties are especially beautiful with the four story Neiman Marcus Holiday Tree rising up through the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows offer guests an intimate bird's eye view of Union Square.
Private party facilities
The Rotunda can accommodate up to 160 seated guests with a dance floor, 200 seated and 225 standing for evening events. There is a private elevator on Geary Street that takes guests directly to the restaurant after the store is closed.

The place is gorgeous and just so magistic. We were welcomed so passionately and professionally. The service was amazing and all the servers were so helpful. The food is marvelous and very delicious, it's definitely a good place yo visit.

Fabulous experience! Celebrating 90th birthday wanted a special occasion experience and this was it. Exceeded my expectations! Got window seat as requested every staff member who interacted with us wished happy birthday. Food was delicious presentation was beautiful and the rotunda is gorgeous. While we no longer live in sf everyone in our party are sf natives. Loved the experience the tea with champagne is little pricey but u can order a glass off the tea menu at a more reasonable price. Highly recommend.

My friends and I have been meeting at The Rotunda for many, many years. We love the atmosphere, the friendly and efficient service, consommé and popovers. Normally, I would have given the main course a good rating, but yesterday was definitely a disappointment. I was treating my friends so they were kind enough not to complain, but I was embarrassed. Not the food quality of even a few months ago. We all agreed that the new upholstery was drab and not a good complement to the beauty of the glass dome and classic design of the room. We will return but hope that there is an improvement in the quality vs. cost of your cuisine.

I always love coming here for special meals. This time we were celebrating my birthday, and the (in a few weeks) birthday of my friend. The positives were that the crab sandwich and the lobster thermidor were OUTSTANDING, as was the strawberry butter, the consommé, the fruit tart, and the (gratis) vanilla ice cream and the chocolate chip cookie. The coffee and the cappucino were also excellent. But the popovers arrived barely warm (though still very tender). And while our "primary server" didn't show up until we had finished the consommé and the popovers, and well into our entrees, the other servers "filled in the breach". But the other servers made sure we were informed from the start, that our "primary server" would not be arriving right away. The prices were a tad high: $42 for the crab sandwich was a tad high, BUT the lobster thermidor was such a robust serving that I did not mind the $42 price tag. The chef handled the puff pastry perfectly, and the sauce and accompanying veggies were a great pairing with the lobster. Decent chunks of lobster too!
