The Rooftop Grill at Montage Beverly Hills Ratings and Reviews
I've eaten here several times and although the prices are high, it is (after all) a hotel restaurant. The view is lovely. The lunch, however, was a real disappointment. I ordered a rooftop chopped salad for $22 and it was the saddest looking thing I'd ever seen. almost nothing but iceberg lettuce and a few other vegetables. It probably cost them $1.50 in ingredients. Extremely disappointing and we aren't likely to go there again.
Overall very nice, just not worth the price. Great if you can bill it back to business. Beautiful wine list. Extremely professional and friendly staff. Food was very good, just too expensive. Though not too expensive for the area or venue. The staff was the highlight. Decent view, but only for a few tables.
The actual restaurant doesn't look as pictured. It's more of a hotel pool cafe than a nice place to have brunch. It's probably enjoyable for hotel guests, being located on the roof and right next to the pool. As a local looking for an elegant place for lunch it missed the mark. Service was great. They gave us a delicious piece of cake for our anniversary. The pastry basket was delicious and the frata was great. My sandwich was very soggy. Like they washed the lettuce and put it right on. Very expensive for the setup and food.
We came here for brunch on New Years Day. It was a nice casual atmosphere. I was afraid the parking was going to cost a fortune but to my surprise it was reasonable I thought. The food was really good. I was full but the quality of the meal was light, not heavy. I would come back here again.
Gorgeous place for brunch to relax and eat some delicious food. I was a little bit dissapoibted with the Acai bowl and there was a tiny bit of Acai and a tonne of granola- it should be the opposite way. And the espressos were quite expensive and did not taste nice at all (super bitter). Other than that it’s a gorgeous place with fantastic service
The Rooftop Grill was closed, we were told because of smoke from the fires in the LA area. Driving around LA is a challenge, so it would have been helpful to be told with an email or text that they had shutdown for the day.
Money is not a problem but like getting what we pay for and the food was not worth the cost simply because we were on B.H.
Have eaten st several places in B.H. Nd this was without a doubt the worse. A consensus of the six of us. Hopefully the other areas to eat in the hotel are better than the Rooftop.
Haven't been to the rooftop at the Montage for Sunday brunch for years and was really disappointed.. the place seemed a little dated and dingy..
I had poached eggs on avocado toast and it was just ok.. it seemed like the eggs were poached earlier and then dipped in the hot water.. they were cold inside! My friend ordered scrambled eggs and they were just down right old.. like they were in a chafing dish all morning.. not good
The waitress replaced them with the same cold eggs I was given.. I ordered a dry cappuccino and got a full cup of hot milk?
Time to clean it up..
The food was amazing and it was perfect weather @1:30 pm for an afternoon meal. The cheese board was delicious to share as well as the chips and cilantro-lime guacamole. The chips were the homemade tortilla chips that I couldn't stop eating and asked for seconds. Service was great by Robert.
We came in and had outstanding service at the bar. I had a delicious jalapeño margarita and my boyfriend loved the sangria.
When we were seated at our table the service was extremely slow, we sat with two empty drinks for 10-15 mins.
Eventually Rory came over and saved the day but before that we were served by someone in a black top and not the blue server outfit.
My two adult daughters and I went for a Friday breakfast. We ate out on the rooftop and it was a little Breezy so bye cold eggs could have been a result of that. My daughters had the white egg frittata and liked it very much. Kelly Services service was very good. I'm not sure I would go back for breakfast at those prices. Typical for a Beverly Hills Hotel breakfast I please.
