   The waiters were polite but inexperience. I have to ask for water multiple times as well as a steak knife. They should pay attention to those details. The steak had no flavor and very difficult to chew= a very cheap cut of meat). The mac and cheese had the texture of fast food and the mash potato taste like box mash potatoes. The ratatouille texture and flavor were off. The chicken wings were very crispy, tasty and of generous size. It is difficult to mess up chicken wings. Definitively, not a place I will recommend for dinner, maybe for chicken wings. I didn{t even took the leftover with me.

   The food was very good and everything else was good. We were spoiled, the last time here was in the late spring or early fall and we sat on the porch and ate. It was our anniversary and it was very nice.

   The waitress was quiet, but friendly. The food was delicious. We had drinks at the bar before our reservation and the bartender was great. Unfortunately, the hostess was miserable! She was surly and definitely unwelcoming. She was the hostess on duty for breakfast as well and she never once made eye contact or smiled. What a shame because everyone else was friendly and helpful.

   We had 2 dinners in River Room wile vacationing in Poconos. The restaurant is a part of Shawnee Golf Resort so as such one can expect prices to be a bit on a high side; however they are not overly expensive. the dinner entrees come with 2 sides and you can order an additional one for about $4.00 - doable. Nice ciabatta-style rolls and butter start you off and there is a nice list of wines and the beer from their own brewery. 1st time we split a caprese appetizer, then moved on to salads (chosen as 1 of 2 sides as per above). The wife opted for Salmon with Mac & Cheese while I went with Shrimp scampi pasta w\garlic bread. We split a chocolate cake for dessert. 2nd dinner we skipped appetizer, still had salads, I went with NY strip w\Garlic Mashed potatoes and the wife choise the Scampi I had previously. Again we split the chocolate cake for dessert. Drinks of choice were the Brewery Pilsner - light & fruity. The server Jose was exceptional and very attentive. Absolutely will consider coming back if ever in the area.

   Was somewhat apprehensive as to what we would find, after having read a number of previous reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to find that our food was tasty and that service was reasonably good. My husband had the grilled salmon and, like a previous reviewer, declared it delicious. My hamburger was done just right and was juicy and tasty. A reasonably tasty dinner, although not a memorable one. Not a bad place for dinner if in the area [such as at the nearby Wyndham Shawnee Village resort].

   The wait staff at dinner and breakfast made me feel so at home. Their service was excellent. I would go back more for the service than the food.

   Awful awful awful. Wish I could rate a 0. Took 20 mins to get a drink after getting looked at in a strange way about our reservation. Got no straws after asking twice and proceeding to the bar and asking myself. Good took about 40 minutes and came out burnt and dry. Didn't even touch it. Awful service. Rude. Lighting is way too bright for any type of ambience. Not romantic. Not even casual. Feels like you're a sitting in a truck stop. Stay away

   Place was empty. They had 3 different types of music playing at once. The reception underneath the piano in the lobby and the music for the restaurant. Food was ok.

    Food was pretty disappointing. We expected better. We did not get back there except for breakfast one morning and it was pretty good. The servers there are very friendly and attentive - they deserve to have better food on the menu!
