We hadn’t dined here in several months, but we had a superb meal. The roast chicken is excellent, as always, but the real star was the duck confit, which is a new addition to the menu.

A bit pricey but worth it. Great food and service. Halibut is great as well as the salmon. Salads are big, they can be an entry by themselves. Roasted chicken is a must to try. Chocolate cake for dessert is the best.

Many waiters at many times.. distracting and no continuity of service. My Branzino was not as juicy as I had hoped. Maybe because it was a Monday night.

Even the Caesar salad was not up to par for a restaurant as fancy as The Rigsby. My partner had the roasted chicken and he liked it very much.

The Riggsby is a great place. The staff is friendly, attentive and professsional. The brunch food is great! I highly recommend the spaghetti. And they regularly update their cocktail menu.

As usual, welcoming service and excellent food. One of the best places in DC to have a fine dinner with conversation.

Came for the lauded pancakes which were mediocre at best...luke warm with a strangely sandy texture. The rest of the food was lackluster. Another DC disappointment where the hype equals an underwhelming and overpriced event. On another note, I have had the cocktails here before and strongly recommend all the items on the classic cocktail menu.

The verdict’s still out. The appetizer, smoked trout accompanied by beets and a horseradish sauce was great. The mussels just okay! A trip around the corner to Lauriol Plaza just may enlighten the chef on how to prepare well seasoned and memorable mussels (ijs). I will give the Riggsby another chance because of presentation alone!! Good job on presentation Chef!!

It was a sunny evening in DC tonight, so my wife and I decided to go to the Wharf, walk around, and grab dinner. The Wharf was beautiful, but the only restaurant that we felt compelled to go to had an hour wait. At that moment I hailed an Uber and took it to The Riggsby. It is consistently excellent; great wine menu, cocktail service, and most importantly, wonderfully-executed food. Their menu has evolved--but has wisely held on to its standards: You must order the deviled eggs, smoked trout, homemade pasta, and cheeseburger, but their dry aged NY Strip is as good as any you will find in DC. My wife ordered the salmon and it was delicious paired with peas & carrots & bacon. Additionally, their dessert menu is perfect. A huge brownie ice cream sundae is probably the smartest move, but the chocolate cake and or chocolate chip cookies are equally tremendous. I do not get to The Riggsby enough, but it truly has something for everyone.

Exquisite food & wonderful service. This place really takes you back to the 1920's from the chandeliers, to the decor, and even the cocktail glasses! I will definitely be back for sure. It's on the pricier side, but so worth every penny. I can't recommend this place enough.

The setting is interesting and attractive for a hotel dining room and the menu seems promising, with a good range of cocktails and salads and simple entrees offered. The surface is deceptive and the disappointments compound - from the comically pompous waiter who can't condone substituting vodka for gin in a simple cocktail recipe ("would ruin the authenticity!") to the mediocre Caesar salad with packaged croutons to the very overpriced vin ordinaire at $19 a glass. It's definitely a hotel restaurant, just with a patina of snootiness and much higher prices.

My family and I used to come for the Mother's Day brunch YEARS ago when it was an outdoor court yard with live music. We returned this time for a Birthday celebration. We like the changes: it's a beautiful restaurant, the food was delicious, the chef came out to see how things were, our waitress (Lisa) was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. What more could one ask for? It was the perfect place to return for the celebration.

The Riggsby is a restaurant worth driving to, but I am so lucky to have it within walking distance. We go all the time. It's one of the best restaurants in Dupont. The menu is on the short side, which I appreciate. Every dish is a masterpiece. The service is excellent.

Back because of Olivia. Probably one of the very best servers in DC! What a treasure she is.

The food was better than ever, and the setting, although noisy, is timelessly beautiful. However, service was off on a Saturday night (we rarely dine out then, but had out of town guests). Our waiter showed up too soon to take orders, then disappeared. He was clueless about the rhythm of our meal. It's a nice touch that white and rose wines are kept cold away from the table, but only if someone is paying attention to when glasses need a refill--which was not the case on this visit. They did offer us one free dessert for the four of us, which is better than nothing, but I'd prefer that service be good.
