"The Richmond" is a small family owned restaurant.

We offer two tasting menus: a 3-course menu for $40.00 and a 5-course menu for $75.00. Both menus come with optional wine pairings.

At "The Richmond" our goal is to put a premium on individual diners rather than volume. Each night we take a limited number of reservations. Our mission is to provide personalized food and service.

Wine Program:

Our goal is to offer some of the cheapest "restaurant" wine prices in the Bay Area. We believe most local restaurants take advantage of customers with overly inflated wine prices. My wife and I are committed to selling wine at more than 30 percent below typical restaurant pricing. Our wine list has an emphasis on small local family wineries.

Fantastic experience as always. Plenty of choices on three-course tasting menu, all prepared and presented beautifully by a chef/owner who is helpful selecting dishes and wines. The three course menu is an incredible value at $40 and the wine list has great selections, running from budget to prized offerings.

We've been dining at The Richmond since it opened many years ago. John, the chef/owner, is a gracious, knowledgeable host. The food is great and the atmosphere is one of the few quiet, lovely restaurants in SF.

In this day and age, it’s challenging to know which reviews are real and which reviews are hidden ads. The lack of marketing and PR makes this restaurant harder to find but it is a local gem! The food and service are impeccable. 5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service. If you are lucky enough to get a reservation at one of their 7 tables, make it happen! You won’t regret it.

Mom’s 75th birthday. Portions are Generous and artfully prepared. John explained each pairing and poured robust amounts without apology or pretense. Our server, Joon, was attentive and engaging. We recommend this place for anyone who is interested in a fine meal at a very reasonable price in a comfortable setting.
