We were disappointed overall with our dining experience. The food was average and was too expensive for what it was. The portion of sea bass my husband had was small and overcooked. My pork chop was overly salted and swimming in greasy polenta. My daughter's pasta dish was only average and you could tell it was purchased dried pasta. We would not return, especially due to their high prices.

This is a wonderful restaurant. From beginning to end, the meal, the service, the setting are outstanding. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed.

We booked a table for 8 on a Sat afternoon. Even though they close at 2pm (we could only book a table for the 1:45pm time slot), the service was perfect. The staff and waiters/waitresses are super professional and treated us very well, with a smile on the face. The food was delicious and so were the wines that accompanied each course. My friends from all over the bay said throughout the lunch that the restaurant is exquisite. I’ll definitely return and recommend for other friends.

Great prix fix menu with wonderful choices. Servers were very knowledgeable and let us enjoy each course without rushing us. Well trained staff that don't take away plates till all the diners are finished. This should be taught everywhere. No one takes plates away till every guest is finished if the party is at your house!
Wonderful setting for a most relaxing Saturday lunch.

We’ve never had a bad experience dining here.
We were celebrating a birthday and were treated to complimentary brut to start, excellent service and personalized birthday dessert!

Great meal with great service. For starters we had the cauliflower bisque and dungenness crab salad and for the main I had the smoked pork chop and my wife the roasted sea bass. My only nit pick was the amount of polenta - there was way too much and the sea bass was a little dry towards the thin end of the fillet. We split the flourless choclate cake for desert - nice touch with mint snow and coffee soil providing a little texture to the dish. Paired the bisque with the Savignon Blanc, the pork with the Riva Ranch Pinot Noir and had the port with desert. Throughly enjoyed the experince.

Had a very enjoyable wine pairing lunch with my sister over President's Day weekend. It is a prix fix menu -
for mains we had our choice of sea bass or filet mignon. While it is a bit pricey, the value for quality is there. Make sure to get reservations - this place fills up quickly on weekends.

The day started at the winery with a tasting, hosted by Grady our wine educator. He provided an exceptional tasting experience and we joined the wine club. Grady recommend the restaurant at the vineyard for dinner and we made reservations. Our server at the restaurant was also fantastic! Unfortunately we couldn’t remember her name, but she had fantastic nails with her dogs painted on them!!! We had the tartare, cauliflower soup, and wagu steak! Everything was delicious, the entire Wente experience from start to finish exceed our expectations! We will back, very soon!!

My husband and I love their Sunday brunches out on the deck during summer, but for special occasions year-round we gladly splurge on having dinner inside, as we just did with cousins visiting from Manhattan. It was their wedding anniversary and the restaurant did not disappoint! They gave us all a complimentary champagne toast, and dessert for the couple, plus the service was exceptional and the dinner menu was sublime. The four of us feasted on perfectly prepared pork chops, quail and a vegetarian tagine. We drank delicious Nth Degree Cabernet Sauvignon and coffee with dessert. The dining room was beautifully appointed, the service was luxurious, attentive but not interfering in our conversation. We never felt rushed and enjoyed our leisurely dining experience for over two hours. As I say, this is our favorite destination for special splurges not far from home.

The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the Tri-Valley. Food is always incredible, ambiance is great, good wine list and great wait staff!

the restaurant staff was well aware of our 30th Anniversary celebration but no-one acknowledged it or gave a touch on our celebration. The receptionist lady was kind to bring a sheet menu with "Anniversary Menu" on it but that was all. The table setting was good but felt kind of strange to be in a corner where there is no special decoration for the occasion. The table next to me had a guy sitting with the legs all the way out causing the waiter to trip, the waiter apologized but the customer did not even acknowledge the apology, this customer never adjusted his legs for my wife to pass by to go the restrooms and I made eye contact with him and he was defiant looking. The service was great but I was expecting a more enthusiastic reception with a touch on our Anniversary for my wife but saw nothing and to make it worse I had a defiant customer next to me with his legs stretching out of his table, preventing us (my wife, the waiter, and I) to walk by or to the restroom.

My husband and I have visited Wente multiple times during the past year. We have found the food quality and service to always be outstanding. Our one request, for those of us who visit frequently, would be to see more specials offered in addition to the regular menu.

Our appetizer, the beet salad was amazing and our cocktails too. But the server wasn’t interested In us. She quickly moved away when she checked on us, & was dismissive. I observed her reprimand 2 staff members before we were even seated and both of them gave us better attention before she addresses us, than she did all night. The main courses were bland and not worth their cost. The flourless chocolate cake was like a brick. Overall the pretentious service and high price were very disappointing and we love fine dining. We won’t be returning to that restaurant.

The prices don’t support the service or food quality received. Steak was cooked perfectly, but it was heavily sauced and everything was drowned in dressings. Service assumed we were new to wine and when we asked for a specific recommendation, the suggestions were far off from what we were asking for and we did not receive service from the sommelier. Overall, felt like its able to get away with lower quality and higher prices based on the Wente name.

My husband and I joined another couple for an evening out. The restaurant was full but still not too noisy to talk easily and be heard. The food was excellent. We are doing the Whole30 and asked for a couple of changes to the menu items which the restaurant was happy to accommodate. We look forward to going back in February when we can have a glass of wine!

I came with a friend for the Chef's Tasting Menu Lunch. Service was wonderful and perfectly timed, the wine was delicious, and the ambiance was very relaxing. A wonderful value as well.

We waited for our food quiet some time due to them running out of mash potatoes. Things happen! But besides that it was a good experience. We will be back.
