We were here for our 5th Valentines dinner so we have four other times to compare this visit to. We hung up our own coats in the closet 🙄 then were seated. We ordered the wine pairing to go along with the three courses and the wine did not come out at the proper time. We were almost finished with our first course when the wine came out. The timing of the dinner was off. We were rushed and hurried. The food was beautifully presented and it was delicious. Portion was a bit too small. Overall we had a special evening.
Dear SylviaC, Thank you for selecting The Restaurant for your treasured Valentine’s Day. We’re glad that you thought the food was delicious and beautifully presented. And, please be assured that we’ll share your comments with our team in an effort to improve in the future. Staff was very friendly and everyone took the time to greet us. Service was amazing. Liz was incredibly attentive and helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. She took the time to answer our questions. The dishes were beautifully executed and presented - you can tell they pay attention to the details. All our courses were flavorful and delicious and pairing of ingredients well though out. Complimentary dishes were also very delicious and appreciated. We had a wonderful evening and are look forward to returning tomorrow! Thank you!

Cocktails, Wines, Appetizers, Main Dishes, and Desserts were delicious and beautifully presented, but above everything was the outstanding service. I had Venison and my wife had Halibut. The Halibut was perfectly cooked and the plate was nicely and colorfully garnished...but the Halibut could have used just a bit more of Chef's inspiration.
Dear Jayp195, Thank you for your Five-Star review and description of your dinner. We’re delighted you enjoyed the “outstanding service” as well as the cocktails. We’ll share your comments about the Halibut with Chef, and we appreciate your feedback. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager
Should you desire an occasion imbued with a warm ambiance coupled with great food and service look no further! The staff from the valet to the bus girl were professional, warm and engaging making for a really fun experience. All to often, restaurants of this stature are stuffy and off putting which is absolutely not the case here. Cozy, classy and elegant! We can't wait to return.

We went for a lunch out for the first time in months. My 83 year old mother had gotten her first shot and we wanted to go out but still stay safe. The setting is GORGEOUS and we felt very comfortable! And all of the staff were lovely! Our server was Kerry and she was awesome. It was a special treat that we truly enjoyed!!

As always, the Weekapaug Inn offers a top dining experience, with well trained wait staff who cater to your every need. We were a little disappointed that they have a new chef with a small-plate menu at the former prices ... food was not as good as it was when we went there in Sept. But one of the managers came over to talk to us at length about the new approach. We will be back, but will probably try breakfast or lunch instead.
Dear TimC, Thank you for your kind words about your dining experience and service at Weekapaug Inn. I am a plant based eater and the restaurant had at least two months notice to prepare for me. I reconfirmed a week ahead and they again said they would have something for me. It was a fixed menu. The meat eaters at the table were given rolls which i was told I couldn't eat as they had some animal product, they did not have a substitute for me. The second course they said was also not for me and brought me nothing. I asked if they had anything they could bring me so they brought pickled vegetables. Then they did bring again a reduced salad for me that was not exciting followed by an extremely mediocre dish that was like a soup, poor flavor and not interesting. Then They brought lemon sorbet. So basically, soup and salad for $100. Sadly, I absolutely can not recommend this restaurant for vegetarians or plant based eaters. They only focus on meat.
Thank you for selecting the Inn for your treasured Christmas day celebration. We sincerely apologize that we did not meet or exceed your expectations. We have successfully accommodated many people with culinary preferences including those who are plant based in the past, so we are especially sorry for your experience. We have brought your comments to our culinary team in an effort to improve in the future. Sincerely, Daniel Hostettler, President r Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager

Great spot!
Thank you for your Five-Star reviews and we look forward to serving you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager
We were excited to try this restaurant and the quality of the food did not disappoint. However be prepared for tiny portions. I mean tiny. When you order the main course steak, you will receive two small slices of steak. Having dined in many of the world finest steakhouses and restaurants, this is somewhat unacceptable. The chef is creative but at times this falls flat because flavors don't mix as well as he/she had assumed. When there is is too much going on for the palate, it will just feel "busy" and not excellent. This happened with the dessert. Way too many flavors on one tiny plate and the flavors did not work together.
The drinks were excellent and so was the service. Would I go again, probably not. Am I sorry that I went, no.
Parking was by the way a nightmare. We took the very last spot which resulted in a screw in our tire and we are not having to replace two of our tires because of that. The Inn was doing some renovations and did not clean up the parking areas and since it was pitch black when we arrived, we simply didn't see it.
Dear Elise, We thank you for your kind words about the service and cocktails at Weekapaug Inn. We have complimentary valet parking, so we are especially saddened to see your comments about your experience. We will also share your observations about portions and flavors to our chef, and hope we can earn your trust if you decide to return. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager
Great hidden gem. Quaint room with view of the water across a perfect lawn. Hostess was great and Ricco our server was too-notch. Burger was the best I’ve had in months and the warm lobster roll was simply terrific.
Thank you for your Five-Star reviews and kind words about your experience at The Restaurant at Weekapaug Inn. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager
Great experience and we return! Thank You for the generous hospitality. Bravo to everyone front of house and from the kitchen.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Quiet ambiance - something that is rare nowadays - with fine service. The only tiny complaint I have is that the stem on one of the wine glasses was sticky.
Everything was fabulous!
I ordered veal and could hardly see it on my plate. I asked for medium and it came well done, and tough to eat. I’ve had much better meals in the local diner in my neighborhood.
So yummy and a beautiful setting for our anniversary breakfast! They poach eggs medium if you ask and to perfection. Elegant and a real boost during a trying time (2020)
A much needed balm.
We had breakfast at The Restaurant. It was amazing! Taste, presentation and great view! Can’t wait to come back and have dinner there!
Going to the Inn every year is my granddaughter’s biggest day save Christmas!
A very picky eater, she left nothing on her plate, and talked a blue and coherent streak.
The wine steward was super and guided us a perfect vintage.
Celebrated an anniversary. Service and attention to detail was excellent!
We had a great dinner in the restaurant of the Weekapaug Inn on the last night of our stay. The food was very good as was the presentation. Our server was extremely good. I would recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I celebrated my moms 83rd birthday the other night. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent (thanks Liz)!
Thanks to the staff and the chef for making this a memorable experience.
There was no availability but they fit us in early at 5:30. Great view.
Gorgeous welcome. Great view beautiful day
This was our first visit to the Weekapaug Inn. We were very pleased by the entire experience. We were promptly seated. Kerry, our waitress, was terrific - friendly, professional and attentive. The menu provided so many excellent choices that it was hard to narrow them down. We were all pleased with our selections. In my case, I asked the Chef to come out so I could personally thank him and tell him that it was the best halibut that I have ever had! Interior decor well done. Setting overlooking the salt pond was very pleasant.
Absolutely superb, appreciated the greeting by Elizabeth who gave us the perfect table. The details from the Pastry basket with amazing strawberry jam, butter bell, and then for lunch the delicious crab cakes and Lobster Rolls were perfect with the view of the pond. The server Elizabeth was attentive and suggested the perfect Chardonnay which was priced at a value of $50 for such a great quality. Very happy and appreciative to have been able to relax, sip champagne, dine and honor a dear friends life who had passed away. A heart felt thank you to both Elizabeth’s , the Weekapaug Inn is excellent because of Hiring and retaining people, Such as yourselves, who care.
Always a favorite of ours. Nice varied menu, excellent food and service. Very nice calm vibe at the Inn.
The food was wonderful, we had a fabulous table next to floor to ceiling windows while there was a spectacular thunderstorm going on. The duck & lamb were tender and well seasoned. The seafood pasta delicious. The strawberry short cake was huge with a large portion of hand whipped cream. The trio of chocolate desserts were each tiny, but tasty. We felt safe and well cared for during out meal.
The chef and staff were attentive to every detail and created a magical experience for us.
We had one of our first meals after the COVID-19 shutdown and it was wonderful to be back. The dining room has been reconfigured for distancing and all of the staff seemed to take all of the appropriate precautions. Food was great, service was great. Bar was a little slow but completely understandable.
The food was excellent! The service and attention to detail and personalization was great.
I recommend installing exterior lighting for the grounds outside of the windows of the dining room. Carefully designed these could illuminate features, even in winter, such that the many windows in the dining room do not look like black walls.
Regards, Jim Fogarty
Valentine’s Day. Everything was perfect. Literally. It didn’t hurt that we ended up at the best table in the house. The service was just right. Not too intrusive, which some times happens but as I said tonight was perfect. There was a fixed price menu and the chef hit it out of the park. Highly recommend.
