    We had a lovely table outdoors with a beautiful view. The food was good although the french fries had to be sent back twice. The service was poor. The waiter was not attentive and neither was the bus staff. The worst part was the music - loud tinny, club music. We asked them to turn it down, and they turned it down a little but it was still instrusive. Any music other than something low and slow would be out of place with the ambiance which is spectacular. Actually no music would be best.

    The restaurant did not inform of us the mandatory 22 percent service charge and we almost left an extra 20 percent until my husband noticed. We feel the restaurant should post that charge on the menu and not just put it on the bottom of the check where it can be easily overlooked. Seems low class in such a classy place.

    We came here for lunch as part of our honeymoon and had a lovely time! We had the perfect table for viewing the ocean and the food was delicious. Service was excellent as well! We highly recommend The Sur House restaurant!

    The place to just go and relax is always amazing. The fish and chips were ok. Fish was overdone and the batter was touch. I’ve definitely had better dishes there. Generally, the food is very good.

    A bit pricey which is expected for a resort in Big Sur. The view is what people pay for. The shrimp tacos were good

    Always a top-notch experience. Spectacular views reservation was accommodated with an ocean view table for my wife’s birthday. Service was friendly albeit a bit slow. French fries were overcooked and two crunchy/chewy. Cocktail and wine selection was superb. Hopefully the marine layer stays on the menu forever!
