It was everyone in the party’s first time and no one was disappointed… The ambience was great and The employees were even better! They were so kind and helpful! The food was excellent as well… I would definitely go back!
I've been a fan of this restaurant for years. I've tried many different dish here so far and everything tasted so good. Who doesn't love places that have both good food and good atmosphere? Recommended.
Everything was perfect about this place but the chewy steak and cold fries. I wanted to complain but only had an hour for lunch. Other than that this place is really nice, but the steak was horrible.
My friends and I came here to celebrate a bachelorette and we all loved it! The food was amazing. Everything we tried was so tasty. The chicken was juicy, not dry, and very flavorful. The lighting at night time made everything very exquisite looking. The service was also great. It wasn’t crowded either. It was the perfect way to start our night and we couldn’t have been more happy with this place!
The service was really amazing, sweet people. Tasty cocktails. Dim light ambiance.
Good for late cravings. Try the Impossible Vegan Meat.
We had the cauliflower appetizer which was okay, nothing special. So that was a bit disappointing. The salmon was amazing, small potion but what can you expect from an expensive restaurant. This is definitely a special occasion type of place as I’m sure you’d want to eat bigger portions any other day in your life.
Terrible size portions for the price. For a 4 star restaurant, I wad deeply let down. Considering it was Thanksgiving and we drove from. Orange County, huge disappointment. Never again and I will talk bad about it, every chance I get.
The restaurant is very nice and trendy. The staff is very kind and professional. It has also an open-air side.
Delicious food, service didn’t know a lot about wine pairing. Plates for main came while my wife and I were still eating our starters. But food was super delicious
Old fashioned (60's/70's) diner vibe is fun. Great menu with broad selection is perfect for large group, but food arrived cold or was forgotten. Polite, accommodating servers, but not very attentive overall, and it wasn't crowded. Get their potatoes or you'll miss out.
this is one of my 'go to' spots for breakfast meetings. the wait staff knows you and is impeccable! Food is also good and fresh!
The restaurant is nothing extraordinary, normal food, regular prices, regular costumer service. But the bar in the rooftop wow amazing!!!
Really nice eatery located close by and open late for an impromptu post Theatre hangout suitable for good food and conversation.
Had a great time catching up with friends, never disappoints!
Obviously a hip joint but food was average - if you’re looking for brunch in the area there must be better places!
Always a good venue for breakfast meetings with client.
Our waiter doubled as lthe bartender and was able to mix Several types of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
Service was outstanding. Would definitely go back again.
Staff is friendly and very accommodating. When I asked for their opinion because I couldn't decide, their knowledge of the dish was given and I was able to make my decision. Burrata with peaches were delectible. I had a very tasty lamb chop and would recommend it. It was for the dine la lunch menu and very much worth it. Went back again and had the pasta and this, too, was delicious! I've been working across the street for a few years and didn't know about this great restaurant till Dine LA!
Liked the decor and location. Meal started well with first course. Main course was not cooked as ordered in 2 out of 3 plates. Service was slow 2nd half of meal. I would try it again to see if this was an off experience because food was good.
My favorite color is yellow so walking in to find that was the restaurant theme color was a great surprise. Really good option for dinner after work. It may take a minute to get food ordered but it was worth the wait; be sure to leave enough time inbetween anything you plan to do after. Those who work there are amazing and friendly; They made my guests and I feel special for my birthday dinner, gave equal amount of customer service/attention to others, and my birthday dessert (Bourbon Creme Brûlée was amazing).
This place was a pleasant surprise! Food was crazy good, vibrant, fresh, great cocktails, and even better service!
My husband created his own omelette and not only was it the most beautiful omelette I've ever seen, but sooooo good too! I'd highly recommend everyone try! :)
Wait staff ignored us, probably because of a couple of large tables.
Loved our waiter, so helpful and welcoming. Very knowledgable and willing to accomodate us in anyway.
Another nice Tuesday afternoon for lunch with co-workers. The service is always attentive and food never dissappoints.
Mothers Day
All our food was cold, do not go before 11am if you want your food timely and fresh. Before 11 you are competing with the hotels room service for your food. Also if you are going for a special menu listed on their site, call ahead they might have provisions that they don't warn you about on their site. I was going for a special mother's day brunch menu, made a reservation for 10:30, when we got their was told it didn't start until 11am. They wouldn't even let us look at the mother's day menu. Shame their restaurant wasn't good, I actually like their rooftop bar.
The food and service was good. Nice patio, even nicer rooftop.
The service we had during our Sunday brunch was worth complimenting. Great attention to detail, excellent service (both friendly, funny and attentive, but not annoyingly attentive) even though our server was very busy!
This was my first visit to the Standard and I really enjoyed the outdoor seating. The vibrant yellow really adds a fun flair to the atmosphere and our brunch was delicious. I went for brunch with a friend on Easter Sunday and was worried it would be too busy - but luckily I was able to get a reservation and it wasn't TOO crowded. Also I liked that it wasn't too loud.
Friendly staff and food is amazing! Their freshly squeezed juices are amazing!
I had a fantastic time and the ambiance was relaxing and pleasurable. There was a bar upstairs with ping pong tables that was a nice touch. There was no crowd which was fine but it fears a bit boring. I may come back in the future.
Another fine morning to have breakfast at The Standard with co-workers and clients. This place never dissapoints, as always!
Buena comida
My girlfriend and I went there for Valentine’s Day and we are vegetarians so we try to replace one dish on the valentine menu which we originally plan to have instead we were redirected to get the shortcut to mushroom plate it had no flavor mushrooms weren’t cook and my girlfriend wasn’t feeling well after ..on top of that we had to wait for our check for a while ..I was planning to complain to management but after waiting so long and eating disappointing food that cost 21 dollars for a plate full of no flavor I just wanted to leave ..I would want the standard to live up to its standards and improve there food quality and service I wish I would get a refund or apology. Very disappointing for a special night that was planned. I will not return.
Another great morning breakfast at The Standard with fellow co-workers, broker and client.
Not really digging the decor choice in the Restaurant at the standard but food & service was on point. French toast, eggs benny was fantastic and so were the amazing potatoes. Sat outside near the sunken lounge to enjoy our beautiful weather & another round of mimosas but this area is best visited at night since it looks well used in the daylight.
Poor service. Very slow, inattentive, had to send appetizer back because (when it finally arrived) it was delivered with the entree. Location is good, setting is nice. Food was just okay.
Yummmm! I went solo to The Standard for the DineLA event Jan25th, 2018. It was $20USD for an entre and main. Delicious. I had a persimmon ricotta cheese dish + cheesy cream sauce scallops. YUMMMMMM.
The food was very good. It was somewhat pricey, but that is to be expected for a fancy hotel in downtown LA. Definitely worth the trip.
I wouldn't say that I had a bad experience, I think I just expected something more than a basic restaurant experience. Everything was fine overall, but nothing to get excited about. The food was decent, although a bit overpriced, but at dinner time on a Saturday night, I was expecting more ambiance. The rooftop bar had a very festive vibe, but the restaurant had no energy, of any kind, at all.
