Party of 10 for a birthday. There were only 2 other tables of 2 in the restaurant (Restaurant was basically empty). We were on the patio. Horrible service: Forgot drinks & appetizers. Brought out entrees and gave us a difficult time about canceling appetizers which had not arrived yet. Manager said she would get us up to the rooftop and comp us drinks to make up for it. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one came to talk to us, give us a bill, offer us drinks, water or even acknowledge us. Finally, we all got up and we went to talk to the manager once again. Her staff couldn’t find her. When she finally came back she got nasty and said she “told us” she was going to the rooftop to speak with the manager about letting us up. She never told us. There were 3 of us speaking with her originally and none of us ever heard her say that. She insisted and became very rude and said they could not let us up unless we waited in line and they could do nothing except comp the bday boy’s meal. This is not what she originally told us and considering the bday that I planned for a month was ruined because of them, this was not acceptable. Then, they brought out security, then another manager, all agreed and apologized but they were clearly gaslighting us and were not going to do anything. There is sooo much more to the story of this destroyed evening but reliving it is painful and only upsets me more. Do yourself a favor and NEVER patronize this horribly run establishment. Especially, with a group.

We went for breakfast at The Restaurant at The Standard. Their menu consisted of yummy breakfast options including vegan alternatives, which made me very happy. Their food was tasty and I would recommend it as a spot for breakfast!

The restaurant is very nice, and the food is very good, but on this particular day, we couldnt sit on the patio because they said that since the umbrellas were up they couldn't turn the gas lamps on because the umbrellas can burn, but other than that the service was great and they food was spectacular.

I have become such a synic when it comes to DTLA hotels and restaurants. I always assume pretentious attitudes. Not here, great service , great food my new breakfast spot . We live two blocks away so it’s perfect. Great for brunch also
