The Restaurant at Ponte Ratings and Reviews
Nice, unique place for sure. It was a little cold outside, even though we were under a heater. The food was fantastic! My only nit was they didn't ask us if we wanted wine (they are a winery!) and the food came out too fast so we felt a little rushed. It was a nice experience and I would go back.
Our first time, it turned out to be a hot day. They seated us at a table in the sun, then said they could lower the curtain. I really wanted a table in the shade. Well, the curtain went down, but so did the sun which was shining right on me and very hot. Other than that discomfort, the wine was good; food was delicious; and they brought me a birthday dessert!
We were celebrating our 5th year anniversary! Ponte winery was recommended to us by a friend ... I was trying to find a wine for my husband to drink because he doesn't like wine and Jake was amazing ... found 3 different wines for my husband... everything from the Hello to th Goodbye was a phenomenal experience and well worth the drive for us !
I have belonged to Ponte Winery for many years, and have never been dissapointed. The
restaurant on this visit was, as always, wonderful. And, their wine, excellent. I always
reccommend people visit Ponte Winery when they are visiting, as well as people who live
in the area. You will never go wrong!
Food was delicious and service was prompt. We had reservations and were seated right away. We ordered the verde pizza and duck Panini. Both options were good, but very sweet so regretting doing both. The verde was a bit too fig forward. Asked for recommendations with wine and we were both pleasantly surprised with the choices provided to us. Overall, nice little lunch spot.
Awesome place to celebrate my birthday!!! The Arancini appetizer with lobster was outstanding, and definitely not to be missed. Fortunately, there was an even number of them, as I would have been more than willing to wrestle for that last one..lol!!! Nice variety of wines too. The outdoor patio setting was lovely and spacious, and parking was easy. There is also a wine tasting room and hotel on the property.
The four of us had a very enjoyable lunch at the Ponte Restaurant recently. Our waitress, Michelle, was extremely good and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I had the excellent burger and my dining companion said her duck panini sandwich was very tasty. Both of the wines that we ordered were excellent. The outdoor atmosphere was very comfortable and enjoyable. We will undoubtedly eat here again on a future trip to the Temecula wine region.
It took 5 minutes for the service team to realize I did actually make an Open Table reservation .. she said there was no record of it. Very awkward moment !
Then to make things worse the filet steak the brought out was not 8 oz. but barely even 5 ounces and it was a terrible cut. However they did bring back a bigger cut.
Just wasn't the same outstanding experience me and my family were a customized to due to the many times we have eaten at Ponte. Oh well. Wont' be going back to Ponte for awhile -- many other great dinner meals in Wine Country now. We should know we have lived here for over 18 years now :)
Lovely location and exceptional service. Everyone loved the dishes that they had chosen - no fault whatsoever with the cuisine. My only regret is that as we were all driving no-one was able to sample the wine(s) to the full extent we wanted to!! Next time we rent a limo.
I go there quite often for the food. After usually ordering the same food, i noticed the caesar salad didnt have shaved parmesan that it used to and the mussels got scarcer in quantity. Also i thought garlic/butter toast came with. Little disappointed esp as i come for the caesar salad with parmesan shavings.
The restaurant at Ponte well deserves it's recent title for Al Fresco dining. The grounds are beautiful and the setting is picturesque. On top of that, they've whipped together a great menu with wonderful choices. Make sure to get the mussels and dip EVERYTHING you can find in it. Mussels, bread, fingers, small pieces of the table...all acceptable the sauce is so good.
Lunch with the girls before wine tasting and to celebrate a new job. You can't go wrong with a burger, they will even serve it protein style. Salmon on the salad was fresh and cooked to perfection. Currently offering San Dabs over a pasta that is my favorite.
Our first date was at Ponte, however I was only there for less than one half hour, I reserved a table for 26 of us and Ponte only covers 8 or less, So I proposed to my girl on Saturday but left to go to Callaway's to meet the other 24 family members, So it will be hard to celebrate there in the future, you need to make preparations for larger families.
Your restaurant, food, service is great, just open it up for larger families, everyone ells around had it but Ponte.
The waiter spilled wine on my dad's pants when pouring his glass. The calamari was very rubbery and came out extremely quick as if it was reheated. I had the ravioli dish which was pretty good. The burger was ok but then I'm was hard. The garlic bread and dipping sauce is amazing.
