The Restaurant at JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery Ratings and Reviews
Myself and 2 girlfriends enjoyed a tasting and lunch on the patio over the past weekend. The tasting experience was great and the restaurant staff was very accommodating when we ran an hour past our original reservation after our tasting ran longer than we had planned. My friends shared the turkey sandwich and a chopped salad and were very happy with their choice. I however was disappointed with my lunch. I ordered the cheeseburger. I asked the server if their medium cooked burger was a true medium or if it leaned toward medium well. She said that they always come out pink throughout, so I went with medium. Unfortunately my burger not only arrived well done, but the patty as well as the bun were burnt to a crisp. Also, the burger does not come with a side, so we ordered a side of fries to share, which arrived cold. For $18.00 I was shocked that I also had to pay extra for fries.
I think I’ll choose another lunch spot next time in Paso Robles.
Beautiful scenery. All the food was delicious and have no complaints. Of course the wine was outstanding. The only caveat was that the service was a bit slow to start, we waited roughly ten minutes for a server to greet our table and take our orders, but soon after we were greeted the drinks and the meal were delivered in a timely manner. The host, server assistant were very friendly and personable as well. Thank you all very much for a wonderful stay!
A little bit of a drive to get there but the restaurant at Justin exceeded my expectations. The setting was lovely, our server, Kirby, was perfect, just the right amount of service without hovering. This restaurant offers a fantastic prix fix wine pairing dinner and it was a delight.
The only advice is to designate a non drinking driver as the road is a bit long and deserted.
Incredible food and incredible experience. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was phenomenal. Not cheap, obviously, but the experience overall was fantastic thanks to the food (from the new Chef Paul) and our waiter Kirby, who was an absolute gem.
After a wonderful experience a year ago the restaurant fell flat in this return visit. The dishes lacked the Wow factor and 4 of the 6 beef dishes had to be returned to the kitchen because they were served cold. The dessert was dry and lacked flavor. Could not have been more disappointed after I had built high expectations based on the year ago experience. Won’t be making that long dark drive again soon.
Don't miss it! Your trip to Paso Robles wine country must include a tasting at Justin and while you are there---brunch or another meal. Our brunch was outstanding! Had the blueberry pancakes as an appetizer. The kale salad with steak was amazing. Everyone loved the menu choices!! And of course, a glass or bottle of wine.
We made reservations at this restaurant a couple weeks ago on open table for lunch. When we got there they said they were closing for lunch and wouldn’t honor our reservations and time. The hostess was not professional and didn’t really care. What happened to customer Service and the customer is ALWAYS right? Needless to say we will not be back nor to the winery. We come to Paso a lot and won’t be back. Justin has always been one of our favorites. We had Friends with us that had never been there and wasn’t impressed as well with the experience.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Justin where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and great wine! Our server was so sweet and helped us with the wine list as this was our first winery experience. Justin ranked at the top of most review sites I researched and that is why we chose them. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever eaten and that means a lot coming from the burger master himself. I highly recommend Justin Winery for a beautiful and romantic location to celebrate a number of occasions or just a quiet place to enjoy a tasty meal.
This was our first visit to Justin, we decided to splurge for dinner. We opted to add on a wine pairing, as we were unable to make it to their tasting room and we were very glad to have done that. We knew to expect a 5-course menu, but I was honestly expecting smaller portions. All courses tasted so good, unfortunately after the 3rd course I was completely full and could not eat the 4th course. Thankfully I was able to get my plate boxed up - a day later, this course was still delicious - I really wish I was able to try it while it was fresh out of the kitchen! I would recommend dinner at Justin for special occasions. It was a wonderful experience, we really enjoyed both the food and wine pairings. I look forward to returning and spending some time in the tasting room.
Justin is definitely a great place for lunch. The views of the vineyards are breathtaking. It's so relaxing to sit outside, sipping wine leisurely & looking at the views. We had the Chinese chicken salad which was delicious, especially with the black garlic dressing.
First time at Justin Winsery, but. Bucket list item. The restaurant was our first stop. Menu items for the brunch paired with a variety of Justin wines. Food was very tasty, service was great and the wine never disappoints. A great way to start a day with Justin.
Came for birthday. Snitty hostess greeted us. Told her we had a reservation. Followed her to our al fresco table on a windy, chilly morning. Asked if we could sit inside. No. Was the answer. Reservations. I said I made reservations. Didn't matter. Heaters didn't keep up.
Food was tasty, small portions. Didn't have anything for birthday celebration, so brought a sparkling wine to both of us. That was nice. But did have to mention birthdays (2)and I had mentioned it in the reservation.
